كتاب كليلة ودمنة

يحتوي الكتاب على خمسة عشر جزءًا رئيسياً تضم العديد من القصص، حيث أن أبطالها من الحيوانات، ومن أبرز شخصيات الحيوانات التي يتضمّنها الكتاب، الأسد الذي يلعب دور الملك، وخادمه الثور الذي يُدعى شتربه، بالإضافة إلى اثنين من ابن آوى وهما كليلة ودمنة.
بيدبا الفيلسوف الهندي الذي كتب كتاب كليلة ودمنة , في الأصل هو كتاب هندي كتب باللغة السنسكريتية في القرن الرابع الميلادي .
وتمت ترجمته ونقله إلى اللغة العربية في العصر العباسي وتحديداً في القرن الثاني الهجري على يد عبد الله بن المقفع.
