KITAB KUNING (yellow book)

The book of yellow, in Islamic religious education, refers to the traditional books containing Islamic religious lessons (diraasah al-islamiyyah) taught in Islamic boarding schools, ranging from fiqh, aqidah, akhlaq / tasawuf, Arabic grammar (` science nahwu and `science sharf), hadith, tafsir,` ulumul qur'aan, to the social and social sciences (mu`amalah). Also known as the bare book because it does not have a harakat (fathah, kasrah, dhammah, breadfruit), unlike the book of the Qur'an. Therefore, to be able to read the yellow book along with the literal meaning of sentence per sentence to be comprehensively understood, it takes a relatively long study time.
