HeadSet Battery for Android
Need to edit my review and take a star off for being a bit buggy. My bluetooth connects and disconnects a few times before it settles in and works properly with the app. The battery reading is fairly accurate on my Samsung galaxy/plt_m70. Reading some other reviews I discern that this app works perfect with some headsets and not at all with others. I guess i got lucky. If it's compatible, it does a good job......
Now, it does do what it advertises. But, I am posting this review to point out something. For this app to work, and any other app that claims to do the same, the headphones HAVE to be able to monitor and transmit the battery level over the Bluetooth connection. If the headphone can't do this, then the phone itself has absolutely NO info to vase the battery level off of.
Please add a black list. Good even with cheap BT headset, but widget stops updating after a while. Not sure if doze is killing it but the notification shade stuff keeps working. I would like to see bluetooth nickname and % in status bar not just a battery icon. Still this is the least janky app of this type and it works on my 6P running 6.0.1. Kills my car stereo Bluetooth connection every time. I have to force stop it before connecting to my car stereo.
How do I set this app to tell me my battery life??? I've got the app, and it only shows an empty battery, and my headphones are charged. In "settings" it doesn't show me any option...
Its a good effort that aims at bringing the ios function to android. Works well with my SB571 Bluetooth speaker. It can't detect if the device is already connected before launching the app. It's worth having this app despite of the minor bugs.
This app is being over rated by spam reviewers I think. Please don't install this ap and waste your time and battery. It doesn't do what we expect. This is just a timer for Bluetooth headset.
The description says it will work with my Aukey earphones but that's not accurate. It will detect they connected but that's it!
It's working very well on my Samsung S7. But not on my Redmi note 3. Only showing- "device connected" and "device disconnected" message. Please fix the issue to get 5 star rating.
Not working properly with Bluedio T2+ .. indicator always displayed 70%.. after 2 or 3 days used.. indicator displayed 30%.. please fix it..
I connected my bluetoot headset .but it does not show the notification. Don't install like this app
It's just a timer saying how long you've been connected for. Not an actual battery reader. DO NOT INSTALL REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!
A battery timer? Is that a joke? Why don't you post it as battery timer instead of pretend to be battery meter?
High-end LG Tone Platinum with Galaxy S7. Connects, but doesn't read battery. Pointless app of you can't work with high-end devices.
Finds my headset (Crusher Wireless) but doesn't show battery life. Could we see support for this great headset in the future please?
shows device disconnected no matter what i do ! Reconnect, tried with lg tone+, morul 5 etc... Simply won't see the devices
My headset shows about 40% even when the headset itself reports 100% charge...the device I really bought this for is a Bluetooth headset in my motorcycle helmet and that device does not even register a result on this app
It gave no tutorial, and it didn't display the battery charge, it only had a timer, which also had no idea since there weren't any directions or labels, the only real thing you could do was pick a color, which also had no effect for me, and when my headset was connected the widget said Disconnect.
It doesn't work for me. Only shows 'device connected'. Nah, blame OnePlus for not including this feature out of the box in OxygenOS Nougat.
Just installed this app and it picked up my Sony MDR1-RBT after a quick disconnect - reconnect cycle. Does not display the charge level of my headset, only the time since it connected. 1 star, very disappointed.
Always says my battery is completely empty, even though it's connected. I thought that maybe I needed to run the battery down a couple of times to calibrate it, but it didn't help. Hopefully it will work correctly for others.
The app is working very neat. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to. No song and dance needed to get the info on your headset. It is sitting quietly on the info strip, working seamlessly in the background and showing exactly what you need very clearly. You gotta love it!
Too bad it doesnt suport grixx optimum wireless headphones. They do report their battery life. But only to ios *sigh*
Its diesnt work with $200 pair of beats but it works for a $5 headset from the flea market what kind of bs is this
Just shows if your bluetooth earphone is connected. Give the same 100% battery level all the time. Junk junk junk. Uninstalling.
I tried to make it work with the jaybird x2 and I could not get any battery status on the headsets. The app was just showing if the headseats was connected or disconnected
Nice app, exactly what I was looking for. Would be eternally grateful if you can get it to work with the Plantronic BBTGO2. It is listed as supported but when they are fully charged the app only reports 40%.
I have LGHBS-750 with Note5 but it always shows disconnect on the widget. It shows connection and disconnection times in the actual app , but that is pretty useless for me .
This looked promising at first, but the power meter never stops below 100% and right now is showing that my headset it disconnected despite the fact that I'm listening to music on it right now!
moto e (1st gen) + JBL E50BT = nothing shows that device discontented for example iOs support JBL headset battery indicator without any app.
Doesn't work with QY7 and Nexus 6p. Device shows as connected in the app, but no battery indicator is shown. Only see the timer counting up.
Thnx for showing me how long the bt headphones are connected but i reall want to see how much battery is left.and it is showing blank battery all time
Just a bit of advise, your Bluetooth has to have the battery indicator program as part of their firmware. I have to two Bluetooth connected in my phone. One is IS901 which broadcast the battery indicator however the second Bluetooth connected was noisehush 561 which doesn't broadcast the battery status to the app. Oh by the way it does not update the battery status of your device.
Make and model listed but no level report, widget not even show connection.
Whoever says its crap or whatever is dumb, it works perfectly well and it works by itself u dont even have to do anyth than starting the app when u install it
Shows headset is connected but that's all no indication as to how much battery I have left
The app is good, it has connected correct but on home screen it show Not connected so please help us with an update please we love this app thanks
No battery information just showing device connected and disconnected time
No matter what headset I used it always stayed at 100% on meter but devices ran out of power.

Unlike other apps, this one actually gets the value from the headset, it is not just a timer where you tell it how long your battery lasts. This is very useful for my stereo dongle so I can see how much time is left since the dongle won't say how much time is remaining. If it doesn't work right then it is probably just your headset. Not all headsets are compatible.
