Sejarah Perjuangan Kapitan Pattimura Mengusir Penjajah Belanda

Pattimura pada masa kecilnya bernama Thomas Matulessy. Pattimura lahir
di Ambon tahun 1783. Ia pernah menjadi tentara Inggris berpangkat
Sersan. Pada waktu itu Belanda harus menyerahkan wilayah jajahannya
diantaranya Maluku kepada Inggris. Namun, pada tahun 8116 Belanda
kembali berkuasa di Maluku. Rakyat Maluku hidup menderita akibat
penindasan Belanda. Rakyat dipaksa kerja rodi. Kekayaan Maluku dikuras
Belanda.
