Kirkland Signature Choice for Android
Does not work with Samsung Galaxy S8. Worked fine on my S5. Finds the aids, but fails to download programs from the aids. UPDATE! I tried emailing them at the address provided, and it comes back as "no such address." NICE JOB! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I could rate it BELOW ZERO, I WOULD!
This app is only a minor convenience when you want to adjust sound levels that have been pre-set to optimal by the audiologist. The biggest shortcoming is its incompatibility with streaming for Android without purchasing additional hardware. Either Google or Costco need to work out the details to provide this feature as switching to an iPhone is an unacceptable solution.
Like many others, cannot get app to work with Pixel. Costco upgraded firmware and phone easily found and paired with HAs, but data transfer stalled at 60%. App worked great with my iPhone 6, but I now much prefer Android interface. Costco and Resound need to get this sorted now.
All right, GN, this is silly. There is no phone restriction on this app, so I was able to install it on my Google Pixel XL and it successfully discovered my hearing aids. BUT, because they are not Kirkland signature, I can't use it. Clearly the app seems to work. So please lift the ridiculous device restriction on the other app. If you like, put some boiler plate on the app stating you can't guarantee it will work on non Samsung devices, but let me, the customer, make the decision to install.
Installed app on new Pixel phone. Would not sync with hearing aids. Went to the technician at Costco and he could not get them to sync either. App finds the hearing aids, recognizes them, begins downloading data from hearing aids and freezes 60% of the way through download. Will not go further. End result is no connection. Worked great on iPhone 5S. May have to go to iPhone 7 instead of Pixel. Very disappointed.
Very erratic, currently inoperative. App can not find hearing aids, even with fresh batteries, app being reinstalled multiple times. The hearing aids are working, but app can not find/operate them. Unsat.
Does not sync with Android OS even though it is available on the store. Seems like you'd want to make the app available for all platforms or the developers have not taken the time to work Android systems.
It was working fine on my Samsung S4. When I upgraded to a new S8, the app will not pair with the hearing aid. I used it frequently and now can't. I went to the hearing aid department at my local Costco and this was a new discovery for them. I hope someone is paying attention and will update the app soon.
Does not stay up with upgrade phones. Does not work for S8 phone
This does not work with the Samsung 8s.
New Galaxy S7 Edge can't "see" my hearing aids.
Hearing aids control
Will not pair with Samsung's S8 Why is it in the Play Store?????
Don't work
Have been trying for two days to install and pair hearing aids and still no luck. Even going through tech support with Resound. Seems to be having problems with Android. About to give up. Don't have time for this.
Hard to synch to phone and to others devices. Loses synch settings. Its fine when synched.
I recently upgraded to an LG G4. I Was excited to go have the firmware updated and listen to streaming music. I was extremely disappointed that the G4 can't pair with my $1800 hearing aides. The fact that it is Samsung only is bizarre. This app doesn't even show in a search on Google play. I pulled out my old S4 and got it paired with the aides, so I'm able to do the adjustments as need be. How this works on a phone that is 4 years old and not on a new one is stupid. And where's the streaming??
This app allows me to set favorites for different ways to hear from walking in woods to crowds. I thought I had lost one of my aids for sure, then turned on locate and found the lost aid in a minute. Also works with Bluetooth on TV and I can mute the TV to everyone else.
Upgraded to a Samsung Edge at Costco, now I can't stream audio (phone or music) to my hearing aids. All you can do is adjust the settings on the hearing aids. Hell, there's a button on the hearing aids for that! The guy who sold me the phone said it would work with my hearing aids. Going back to an iPhone. I'm old, not stupid.
I finished a 3 week trial with Resound linx2 761 ha's and just started a trial with the KS ha's. Had all sorts of problems with the Resound app (likely due to conflicts between the ha's and the phone clip the audiologist loaned me). Have been using the KS app for 4 days and the only problem is the occasional Bluetooth disconnect. When the app doesn't reconnect automatically, I simply turn off Bluetooth on my phone and immediately turn it back on. This solves the problem. FYI I am using Galaxy Note 4.
I just discovered resound has an exclusive agreement with apple. They don't want streaming to work with your android phone because this way you have to give them another $200 for an extra device or switch to an iPhone for which they probably get some kick back. And, as most people can't live without streaming (can't wear headphones and hearing aids), this is a deliberate, evil machination which takes advantage of mostly older people in need of a medical device to hear. Greed at its worse.
Why should I have to buy something extra for my hearing aids in order to listen to music or bluetooh on my android phone. You shouldn't have this app if it not going to work like it does on the apple phones
I have had no trouble with the app as others mention. My only frustration is that I have to have the Phone Clip. I will not get an iPhone. Resound Support says they have given the info to Google but it is up to Google to develop the app? Not sure if that helps? Note 4 & KS 6.0
It's simple: can't stream music, can't rate it well. Paying an extr $200 to make it work the same as an iphone is insulting.
It only starts in demo mode when I shut off demo mode it gives the no option to pair and if I try to force it by deleting the profile the app crashes total POS
As indicated by others, seems like limited features if u have a Droid, and functions as advertised if u have an iPhone. Manufacturer should Make software so that an android phone will stream with other device.
App will not pair with a new Nexus 5. Costco should do better than this.
The whole purpose of being a good deal (hearing aids) from Costco is to save you money. Not to lure you in to buying more crap or another phone. Please update your app for streaming and newer phones.
Works for setting adjustment, doesn't show battery level in percentage .PLEASE make a module or stand alone application for Samsung Neo watch.
Last phone upgrade it stopped working. Was bad enough you can't stream on android. Now the latest update on my LGG5 and it no longer works.
More features and better stability. Also less noise. GS5
Limited functions but very workable. Was a determining factor in selection of devices.
As others have noted.
Ditto about lack of audio streaming when iphone can.
Needs audio streaming like iPhone. Doesn't make sense to pay $200 for an accessory to stream audio. 5 stars when they figure it out.
We should be able to stream audio to the hearing aids. I hope they will add the ability soon.
Rather finicky to set up. Some aspects such as battery power did not respond. crashed a couple of times. However it does control the settings if you are brave enough to mess with the store settings.
Works as described. You need to take aids in to be reprogrammed. Can't wait for the streaming to work without adapter.
The bluetooth does not work

Had Apple IPHONE 6 and Kirkland hearing aids 6 worked great. Purchased new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and now these same hearing aids will not pair up with new Android phone or tablet. Wasted a lot of money and no one can figure out what to do except to back to Apple products. GREAT
