PLEASE VERIFY EVERY NAME IN FAMILY SEARCH! This app will generate names which appear to have ordinances that need to be done, but when you check the names on Family Search, the ordinance is already completed! BEWARE!

What an amazing way to find names to take to the temple! In minutes it does what takes me hours. The filter is SO handy - makes it super easy for me to find names for my son or daughter and for me or my husband depending on what ordinances we are going to the temple for. And I LOVE that it links to FamilySearch so I can learn more about the ancestor needing ordinances. I can't say enough good things about this. Thank you!!

Worked well on my S6. I recently purchased a pixel 2 xl and now the app does not open. Just a blank white screen.

I love the way the app works on my phone but I would love to use it on my desk top computer too! Is it compatible with my computer and I don't know how to use it??

This app pulls ordinances needed to be done from Family Search that you have already found. It won't find ordinances for to to do that you are not already aware of. But it is a nice reminder of what is ready to be done.

Thank you very much for the ability to move the app to external storage! Space on my device is critical and this helps me out.

I have always been hesitant to do family history because I was never sure how to do the process from A-Z. Like it was fun to get on Familysearch and look for names, but I was never sure how to actually get them to the temple. This app makes it about as simple as it can get. It automatically searches for names you can take. I also really like that it shows you where they fall on your family tree and shows a map of where they lived. You can see which ordinances they still need and pick based off of that. Then you just push one button to reserve the ordinance and one button to print out the card! So easy! Also, Familysearch said I had no available names in my family tree, but this app found 20 automatically. Definitely recommending to friends and family.

I recently heard about this app from a church member who raved about it, so I just downloaded it today 10/27/17 and I was surprised that 48 ordinances have come up so far and it's still searching! Wow! I'm very impressed and I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who does Family History and Temple work!

I love this app! I had a hard time finding names that needed to be done. It found them for me in about an hour. The only downside is that it times out after about half an hour and you have to sign back in.

I can't say enough good about this app. So many people don't take family names to the temple simply because they don't know how to find them or where to start. With this app, you can literally gather names while you sleep and wake up to a new set of ancestors who need ordinances done. The donations are voluntary, but quite honestly, I was happy to donate. I'm more than happy to help fund anything that does all this work for me while I sleep.

I've found it really hard to get into family history as so much of it is done and I don't understand it. But this just found me 45 names to start doing temple work for -- AMAZING! It's enabled me to get involved by DOING. Thanks so so much!

Absolutely love it. I had initial concerns when I saw the price was $3.99 to $99.99. However, I quickly discovered that the cost is a freewill donation. I am updating my review. Were it not for this application I would not have nearly as many names that I am working on, nor would I have done as much work as I have in the past 3 months. It makes it extremely easy to take 10 names through the baptism, confirmation, and initiatory. I am also impressed with the integrity and respect for the temple and the work done that the developers have. Rather than attempting to bilk the saints as it were, he trusts that people will pay what they can. The support staff are quick to respond to questions or comments. I have no connection to thid app, nor do I work for the company. However I still find myself telling everyone I can about this app. I am currently preparing a PowerPoint to present either in an upcoming 5th Sunday or ward confrence to let members know about this applucation. I'll likely print out copies of the PowerPoint to show to the temple president since you can't (well you are not supposed to) use phones or tablets in the temple. They really frown on them even being on. Keep up the good work. :)

It is "Take" in the sense of "Steal". How can a temple recommend holding individual feel good about doing "family history" work in this manner? You are just being lazy and only following the letter of the law to take a name.

Spent hours inputting data only to be locked out. Notice comes up on trying to launch app telling me that the app can't tell if I'm LDS or not and click help to remedy. No problem.....except the help doesn't give any options to input the data needed by the initial request. So! I have put a load of info about my ancestors into the library of LDS knowledge and now can't access it. What a huge con! They've got my info and I've got zilch! Beware!

I love this app! Once I heard about it, I immediately downloaded the app and was able to print off 23 family names that needed a total of 54 ordinances. we were going to the Franklin, Tennessee Temple the next day with a young adult group and they were able to get all those names baptized and confirmed in one session for me! I was delighted ! I am hoping to find more names and do more! I highly recommend it!

Wow this is exactly what we've needed! My family lines are pretty picked over. Last month it took my daughter all day to find 20 names. Last night I ran this app and it found 20 names for us while I was doing other things. It took 3 hours and searching through over 35,000 records. I had to make sure my device didn't sleep during the process (that seemed to stop the search). And of course it didn't grab any names that needed human attention (ones needing more information or with possible duplicates). I'm not sure if it searched lines where someone had multiple spouses- - that's where my daughter had found many of her cousin names last month, so that tells me it's an oft- neglected source of research.

AMAZING ! ! both mine & my wife's l lines had been extensively researched, Take a Name has been such a blessing ! ! For the first time in the 10yrs working at the Temple I now have personal family members to do the work for, it makes the Temple experience even more rewarding ! !

Awesome app. Helped me find all missing ancestors and do the work for them. I have 4 generations so my tree is small. But I see how useful this is for families with Huge family trees

Crappy. Very unhelpful. Did not fill in any blanks! Just gave random people from crazy palces

I'm so grateful for this resource as it has made it so much easier to locate family members I can serve. However, I want to know how I can tap into ancestors from my birth family that I can serve as my membership base is my adoptive family.

This searched over 30,000 names in my line in a few hours for me to take to the temple!!! Can you imagine looking through all of those names in family search!! It would take days!

Best one out there, nothing compares to it's speed and efficiency. If I could, I would donate.

So cool!! Every temple going Latter-day Saint should have this app, and we should use it regularly!
