Wi-Drive.

I got the wi drive and love it. I recommend it constantly. That said, app needs some work. Personally hate the dark theme. The other issue comes from the app never properly closing, this is great while you are using the drive, but if you disconnect and try to reconnect, it will search for the drive until the end of time. We need a refresh our exit button. Right now I have to go app management and force close. And please stop handling files. Let other apps do it.

Regardless of limitations of and frustrations with the capabilities of the device itself, the app is functional – but only barely. It's fairly clear that nobody on the development team bothered to attempt to apply any of the Android UI design guidelines, as the interface is visually out-of-place and interactively unintuitive. It's extremely unfortunate that this is the only way to transfer files onto the device over Wi-Fi, as it's the largest stumbling block in front of an otherwise acceptable product.

I bought this recently. I find the app good, and the device great, but it WONT connect to my Sony Xperia Z2. When I open the app and click on the drive, the app crashes. This is very frustrating, and I would appreciate some support to resolve this issue, Please.

Works well for what it does. Would like to be able to run any file accessed on it.

I loved it until it keeps crashing on my nexus 6. But works on my note 4 and nexus 7 great! I hope it gets fixed.

This app is crap it keeps on saying searching wi drive

Im losing faith in your companys ability to provide quality software and service to resolve problems. Its veen over 2 years now and still no support. If this problem persists say good bye to another customer and ill be sure to leave a trail where ever I go on the net telling people how worthless your products are even if its not relevant to the conversation thats how much of a headache it has given me.

Needs improvement

1.) If the screens goes to sleep while transferring between devices then it sometimes craps out. 2.) If transferring more than one file then there isn't an overall progress bar. You have no idea how long you need to sit there touching the screen every is often to stop it sleeping! 3.) After you've transferred files using the app, if you plug the Drive into a PC via USB then you won't be able to see the files. And vice versa. Please help...

why my samsung note 3 cannot connect the wi-drive??

The device is great and works like a charm, gets a little warm at times. However the app needs work. It is mossing some key features such as the ability to create folders, move files to other folders with out copying, and access to the local devices external SD card. To copy files from the sdcard to the wi-drive you have to open a different file manager copy the files from the external sdcard to the internal then to the wi-drive.

Doesn't work on the Note 3. Shame as it was great on iPhone.

This is a great product once it is setup right. Works with all of my devices and the app is easy enough for kids to us too. I do wish it had support for my Chromecast, that would be amazing.

If you have a Kingston Wi-Drive, this app is a requirement in order to operate the device. However, it has a few stability issues, most notably when using the Wi-Drive as a bridge to access the internet, the app will crash. Updating the firmware for the device doesn't solve the app's issues. Kingston has been apprised of the app's tendency to crash.

App just blows. Can't do anything except read from the device - how do you write to the thing from your tablet? Other file managers can't see the wi-drive, and the stupid app only reads the wi-drive and local storage, doesn't even recognise that there is a micro-SD card inserted. I bought this PoS to transfer videos and photos from my GoPro's micro cards via the tablet (Asus Transformer) while I'm out in the field and without a laptop. Not much chance of that happening. The wi-drive runs Linux, why on earth does it not run a simple samba server instead of this fixed IP address BS? And when connected to a PC via cable, the drive is slower than slow - 10 minutes to copy 2.5G. Geez. Expensive PoS. Not recommended. Oh yeah, the app crashes if active when the tablet sleeps and you wake it back up. Just fantastic coding fellas.

While it's nice to get to all the data I have stored on it, I wish it would allow me to choose my own audio player to use like it does video players. I would like to use "shuffle all" of my songs as well as play flac audio files.

But I wish that installing the software would allow the drive to be treated like a true drive on the device, so that it's easier to access content like music from my existing music software. Allow it to work like a mapped network drive, and you have a winner....
