Kingston hardware is awesome No dought on it.... Mobile lite apps. Is ok... Don't worry we have a option... Use "ES FILE EXPLORER"... Connect hardware with LAN option.. Enjoy

Please provide a stable update as the connectivity looses and device has to be reset. App lags at initial use.

So inconsistent to connect. Complete pain in the but to use, truly regret purchasing this.

Need copy progress and information to tell people whenever it copy done. What kind of software that just silently do it job :D update a progress status please. I use old MLW221. It can read 3Tb drive with 2.0 speed

Worked fine for me but how coul they not add a progresa bar/pie? Essential. Pls add. Also, can't sort files in reverse order, I need to see newest first. Plus crashes every single time on my z3 tablet with Marshmallow. Terrible app

Everything is fine but the fact that there's no live data transfer status to check or monitor of what's being copied or how much is remaining. Which will eventually make you to miss or delete a file accidentally. It has happened to me twice.

Cons:The app doesn't work with Android 6.0.1 (Moto 4G PLUS). The app doesn't detect the device at all.... And the device doesn't detect the new external hard drives which is on Use 3.0 (My passport ultra). Doesn't support the latest software or hardware. Pros: The device is handy and useful. The development team should release a firmware which supports this...

But yr app it's terrible, since the my first device and now 2nd, it's bloody software it's still the same. If u got cutting edge device but app it s.....t, u guy got big problem to solve immediately. Or yr customer will gone. So please proof u r wise. Please do something.

No progress bar..move icon looks like it is paste icon. Lost all my files thinking the files were actually cetting copied and pasted while they were actually moved! Bad bad design!!

I can access the Mobilelite using file explorer which sees it as a network drive. However, the Kingston software doesn't do anything but help screens on Nexus 7, otherwise freezes. It works on my HTC One, but the Mobilelite fails to connect to my home net. Therefore, can only connect to Mobilelite OR other WiFi, not both as help describes. What a rip! Update 2/3/2017: It’s been more than a year since I was promised an update "soon". Instead, they came out with a new app that only works with their later version hardware. Bye-bye Kensington, you've lost a customer.

It crashes a lot. Not very stable. Maybe I will try it again later but for now I will uninstall. I will try your more stable product.

Doesn't work with Asus Zenfone 5. Everytime I try to connect, it displays "Device is not accessible" while same is working if connected from other phones. Firmware is already upgraded.

My only real gripe is as follows: im using this on the go for transfering my gopro files to a thumb drive to free up microsd cards on long motorcycle trips. I wish the app showed a transfer status so i know when its done/how long the transfer is/will take. Cant imagine it would be hard feature to add, please add!! Otherwise thanks

To start with: 1) In search results if you want to see info the app directly crashes. 2) Search with "All Files" is next to impossible; you need to change file type and then search but still you can't see info. 3) If you started search and results aren't displayed the app is still searching in background and then app goes into freeze. 4) If you are transferring one file and then decide to xfer another before first is done again the app goes haywire. With good competition product is GONE

this app works really well with the Kingston g2 but i wish the inbuilt player supported more codecs . i know you can use other players but most are rubbish . i played videos with no stutter or lag the Kingston g2 is a very impressive device but if you think about the fact that its designed for media you would think that it supported more video types like mkv ,avi etc . also i was disappointed that the player has no aspect ratio option to make videos fill the screen . maybe in a future update

No music tag info. Doesn't display track pictures at moment. Looking into meta data as advised.

I wouldn't recommend anybody to buy this piece of junk. The app is so unreliable, I've wasted hours trying to get it to work but have given up! It's connected just a couple of times but now the app crashes after 10 seconds. Without the app the MLWG2 is just an expensive power bank & wired card reader. Mine is going back to the shop.

Totaly random in it's connection. One day yes one day no. I've read through the reviews and guys for over 5 months people are complaining about this app, with no firmware update or responsable action from you what so ever. I can not rely on this app or the G2 harware for that matter. I have to take my laptop wherever I go as there is no reliability that my tablet and external hard drives will be able to connect. Great concept and total lack of work through. Such a shame from a company like Kingston who I have relied on without concern to drive my computers and reliably back up data for so many years. This product now seeds considerable doubt in my mind about useing Kingston products. Very dissapointed!

Very frustrating to get the app to connect properly. The app tells you that the device is not connected, even though the phone is connected to the device's wifi network. Many tries later, the app connects - only to get disconnected within a short time. Fine when it works.

Had great hopes for this device from Kingston, but it will not connect to my Moto G3. However, it connects immediately with my Nexus 7. I have upgraded the firmware to no avail. Please resolve this issue. Update: Resolved the problem by unmounting microSD card from phone and all programs are now on internal memory.

Please add a detailed progress % when transfering files! Also a confirmation that the operation has been successful is a must when transfering valuable files. When viewing the properties of a folder it would be nice to see the # of files in it as well as the total size of that folder. If you do these little changes the app would be much better as right now I don't feel safe moving a huge batch of important files e.g. 4K GoPro video footage (no way to easily tell if all files were transfered successfully).

Please add a proper progress bar (using percentages, eta or at least how have been moved/copied so far) for when the files are in progress.

Please do improved the user experienced of the app. You may consider how "X-plore" app manage files.

The app doesen't read the sd card. The sd card work perfectly in fact if I go to 192.168.200.254 I can read all the files. Please fix this app.

The modem connecting to the dives.which I'm using.. . but I couldn't browse the net and it's showing an yellow coloured icon.... What is the problem,?????

Everything works just fine, except videos that are recorded with the gopro4 (not playing at all), and photo preview is not possible, if I want to copy only some of the pictures from sd card or usb flash drive I want to select only some of them, how to do that if no preview its possible before copying the pictures to the phone? Best personal cloud storage on the go. Can I suggest, please, the ability to edit/rotate photos if possible? Thanx devs.

The app doesn't even connect to the device anymore. Even after multiple resets I cannot get any of my devices to establish a connection to the device.

Please add a feature to the app to check the percentage of battery. Everything else is good...

Two stars less. Why don't you allow play media files through the device(phone/tablet) media players? Please increase the options, then it will be five stars.

No progress bar or percentage indication at all when you transfering files - which is the main function of the products and app, even no notification after the job done. Don't know why a company famous like Kingston allow such product release to the market and the PM still had their job since this already 2 gen of the thing, a company make $10 routers done better job, such a shame, 1 star for now

Doesn't connect so this is useless and can't help me in Europe this week. Guess I won't be getting tones of video footage and transferring them to a hard drive. Awesome.

I liked it when I was able to play movies with third party apps but I can't anymore.

Doesn't work. It stops after each song/clip and it is losing wi-fi connection, not connecting after that... Rubish.

Soon as I open settings, it crashes. Did it on my tablet, so installed on my phone, same problem. Tablet google nexus with android 5, phone samsung s5 with android 6. Clearing cash doesn't help.

The hardware is good, the app needs to improve. Status indicator for uploading files from cf or micro sd eg freeing up space on gopro cards etc.
