MobileLite Wireless for Android
The product is really good, so far one day experience in nice, but this app is terrible. Can't understand why this doesn't see the SD card contents of mobile phone. bridge of WiFi and Internet is very tricky. For this to be overall good experience, app needs to upgrade immediately. This should not be difficult considering today's IT world.
The app doesn't work with latest Nexus (android 7.1.1) when I connected to the g2 device wifi. Just keep crashing and doesn't open
I've bridged networks and browsed HD and SD ok. This is where the fun ends. The GUI of the app is clumsy and doesn't offer many file copying features, multiple folder select and copy from SD to USB HD would be nice and surely would be an option already? Doesn't seem like it..it's not fun spending time selecting and copying one folder at a time. May as well not have this device and use a PC....which is the whole reason I got this...so I don't have to carry a PC.
App works fine on my Asus TF700T tablet but not on my Moto G 2nd Gen. I raised a support ticket but never got a response.
I've tried using the app to copy images to my phone. It did copy, yet no images copied were shown in my album. Instead, I had to use file explorer to see them or restart my phone to see them in the album. Not sure if I did somethinh wrong.
C above
It's good, functional, but I REALLY wish that it respected my Rotation Lock setting. It rotates based on orientation regardless of the setting.
The wifi signal resets very often, like every hour after the firmware update. Please fix.
I have to download VLC to stream the video in the USB

Product good App Bad
The app sucks. Copying files is very slow. To copy from MLW-pro USB slot to the MLW-pro internal storage, the app first transfer the data from MLW-pro USB to the Android device via wifi, and then transfer the data from Android device to MLW-pro internal storage. That means copying 100MB data will need time to transfer 200MB data via wifi. That is very slow and stupid. Why can't it copy the data directly without touching wifi? Both disks are attached to the MLW-pro! When copying one single folder, there is no useful progress percentage shown. They treat one folder as one item, which is shown as 0/1 or 1/1 in the progress bar. The app can only access the internal storage in the Android devices. It can't access the SD card. The app can't share images like any other Android apps. Somehow it can only share images to twitter, facebook or email. You can't share things to whatsapp and other Android apps directly. You will have to copy them to your Android devices first. Not recommended.
I like the product, it's fantastic! But the app is letting it down. For some reason I can only transfer one file at a time with no option to select multiple files for transfer. I tried to find an alternative app that would be compatible but so far have had no joy. I wonder if this is something that can be fixed in a future update?
With MobileLite g3 model even works installed on a Phone and a Tablet each accessing - from the SAME SD card - different files simultaneously! Experienced NONE of the problems others reported. Maybe they should view U-Tube videos first.
While the MobileLite devices are quite good, I am not very pleased with this app. I recently acquired a MobileLite Pro and now I must have 2 apps on my smartphone because I need this app to configure it, but this app doesn't allow me to play certain videos. It just displays a dialog that says that a video is loading and it never loads. If I go to the old app, the videos that this app didn't play suddenly work. The problem is that the old app can't configure the MobileLite Pro and it can't access the contents of the USB drive in it. The USB tab on the old app shows the internal content of the MobileLite Pro. If I am on the File Explorer, for some odd reason, when I tap on a video in this app it doesn't try to open it like the old app did. It shows you the video information window. It's's a very poor experience. To play a video I need to hit to tap on the three dots, tap share and then tap on open. However, like I said previously, that doesn't play all my videos. Now, if I switch to the video tab then the videos do play when I tap on them, but that tab doesn't show my mkv videos so I can't try to play them in that tab. The explorer needs to work like it does in their other app.
Why did not work on my phone
For those of you having trouble connecting to your drive, I had the same issue. To fix it, turn off your data connection. It looks like the software / phone tries to use the wrong connection if both are switched on....

Not working
Having bought the first model a couple of years ago I recently bought the PRO version because of its hard drive storage facility but although I find it easy to use my Kindle Fire to transfer photo's between the SD card and a USB stick I am finding it very difficult to access on my PC to view and download what is on the hard drive and am beginning to wonder just why I paid the extra money for this hard drive storage. My reason and I am sure this goes for many others was to have 'backup' for photo's taken on holiday, special occasions etc when I want to make sure they do not get lost by accident. In addition I think the user guide could be improved For example does 'offline' mean the inbuilt 'hard drive' and if so why not use this term In summary I am only giving the APP two stars although the device itself justifies four stars,

Works OK after spending some time to get the Network Sharing working. Annoyingly doesn't support the rotation flag embedded in the EXIF information of the photos. Also seems a little hit and miss on video codecs.
