kin2kin is a free, private photo and messaging app that connects modern families.
We believe in stronger relationships for those closest to your family, no matter their age, how busy, or how far apart.
kin2kin is designed to include the 3 members of a family group who are most difficult to connect:
- Grandparents with family across many households
- Busy parents who need both speed and security
- Kids too young for Facebook, who may not have a device
How is it different?
1. Everyone has a unique and organized view of family on their home page:
Grandparents can see all grandchildren and family in one place
2. Photos are organized by who is in the photo:
Photos of the child from the parent or relative are both saved in the same place
3. You respond to the person in the photo, not just the sender:
Parents can trigger stronger direct relationships for their kids with family
4. You can share a household device:
For kids without a device, and grandparents with a single household device
5. Kids under 16 have accounts and a network managed by their parents:
Safe for kids to connect with closest family privately
6. Unique network per household:
Parents control who can see their kids; family or friends
7. Naturally overlapping family networks:
Grandchildren share some grandparents and relatives and not others
8. Weekly email updates:
The Family Times keeps those who haven’t checked the app for a while up to date

Love the concept, family enjoy it. One issue I have is adding additional photos, for some reason it will not allow me to add anymore photos, I have followed the instructing but still no luck. Any suggestions?

I would like to give this a 5 star rating because I like the concept but the upload of pictures keeps timing out. I'm using a slowish ADSL link(2 mips). Please allow more time for the upload before timing out. Thanks I'm advance. C

Good concept. Uploads timeout even though they are successful. Pin code isn't asked for when switching back to parent.

Had some problems initially but they were very quick to follow up and sort it. Love the privacy and the simplicity of use - especially for grandparents! Any chance of being able to upload videos in the future?

Wonderful concept BUT having to enter a mobile/cell number to invite family members when perhaps said family member doesn't have a cell phone and not being able to invite via just an email gets you 1 star and uninstalled since I can't invite some of my family.

Keeps sending invites to family members they are unable to decline... uninstalled app and it is still sending invites... spam...real nuisance value not sure how to stop them sending have written to company... wish I had never downloaded ................Response to reply below ... already emailed you at the address you have given below a couple of days ago... no response yet... I was the only one that installed and sent out invites.

I only use my mobile phone for phone calls and just learned how to text last year. I can see my grandchildren in New Zealand all in one place and it's so easy, even for us oldies.
