Instructions
1. Using the ruler and a sharp pencil, score a line 2” in from the long edge of the foam sheet. Wax the serrated knife with the candle or soap. Cut off the 2” strip, creating a 10” x 18” rectangle.
2. Draw a curved line on two corners, creating the popsicle shape. Cut off the corners. Round off the corners by sanding them with a scrap piece of foam.
3. Spread out the pink tissue paper and lay the popsicle shape on top. Cut around the popsicle, leaving an extra 2” all around.
4. Using putty knife or a rubber spatula, spread a thin, even layer of paper paste on the top and sides of the popsicle.
5. Beginning at the bottom, carefully place the pink tissue paper on the popsicle, gently smoothing the paper down as you work toward the top. Smooth the paper from the center out, making sure there are no wrinkles or air bubbles.
6. Gently fold the tissue over onto the sides and smooth out with fingers. Snip the tissue paper along the rounded corners so that the paper will lay flat. Let dry.
7. Once the popsicle has dried, paste the excess paper onto the back.
8. Cut a shape out of the polka dot tissue to resemble a dipped topping (see photo). Leave an extra 2” around the top and sides.
9. Brush on a thin, smooth layer of paper paste onto the top 1/3 or so of the popsicle. Attach the polka dot tissue paper following Step 5. If needed, add more paste under the “drips” to be sure they’re firmly attached. Let dry thoroughly.
10. Brush on a generous coat of Hard Coat Mod Podge. Let dry.
With the point of the serrated knife create a 1” wide X 3” deep slit for the paint stick in the center bottom edge of the popsicle. Insert the paint stick until the notch in the stick is inserted into the popsicle. Remove, add glue to the stick, and reinsert.
11. Pin and glue the ends of the ribbon to each side of the popsicle. Let glue dry.
Optional: Glue a silk flower to each side by ribbon.for further information and detail tutorial, download this application now and you will have what you want.
