The Kids Maps puzzle series are all about making educational learning fun with easy-to-use, colorful, geographic map puzzles for kids.

The goal of Kids Maps is to help young children (ages 2+) learn geography through a fun, interactive, map puzzle game which uses colorful artwork, voice, sound & animation to teach.
This 1st U.S. edition version of Kids Maps includes:
- Complete map of the United States of America
- U.S. Map presented as a fun puzzle game for kids
- Learn fun facts about each state
- Helps kids develop motor skills and hand/eye coordination by placing puzzle pieces on the map
- Helps kids develop shape & color recognition skills through colorful puzzle pieces
- Easy-to-use Drag & Drop functionality
- Colorful state puzzle pieces which teach state abbreviations
- A guided tutorial to help children learn the interface
- Auto-Snap setting to adjust the difficulty level of map puzzle piece placement. (Auto-Snap is intended for younger players to provide an easier chance of success)
- Settings for alphabetical order (teaches children the letter a state starts with)
- Settings for random order (includes fun sounding animations)
- The ability to "skip" and grab a new map puzzle piece (in random mode only)
- "Hints" system which helps point children in the right direction
- Encouraging messages to build confidence.
- Voice on/off settings
- Tips on/off settings
- Fun "reset" feature which breaks the map puzzle into pieces again

Dear Parent or Teacher,
This project is a labor of love for me. I originally developed this map puzzle game for my 3 year old daughter after I read a study in a parenting magazine about the poor geography skills typical of today's children.
My daughter has been my lil’ tester while my team & I continue to refine the app to be fun, easy-to-use and educational. After the initial versions turned out so well, I decided to release this puzzle game as a product for all kids to enjoy. I plan to release an entire series of map puzzle games (Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, etc) in the future, so keep your eyes open.
I sincerely hope your children enjoy all the fun and education built into my Kids Maps Puzzle Game as much as my daughter does – I hope to soon release more kid-friendly games, too.

I just downloaded this. It keeps giving us the wrong answer. We tried to put New York in its place and it told us it was wrong. Instead, it put it above North Dakota. Complete waste of two dollars.

I had been looking for something simple for my 4 yr old that wasn't cluttered with a lot of words and reading. This is a colorful and simple app that is great for exposing little ones to US geography. It could also be useful for older kids as well but may be more engaging if settings provided difficulty levels and included additional facts about each state that could be added by either the dev or the user to help them with homework. I would also love if a world map with at least the continents and world oceans could be added as well as part of the same app; maybe as an in app purchase? I really think this app has the potential to be a strong educational tool and have a broader age range appeal if additional content is added that can be adjusted through difficulty levels while still maintaining the appeal of it's simple design. On it's own, it's still the best app you can get for learning the US map.

This was a great app when I was taking care of my friend's or my sister's kids. The younger ones especially like the animations and sounds.

The idea is fantastic and just what I was looking for, however, once I paid for and downloaded this app to my Nextbook 7 android I was immediately disappointed. When a child moves the state it goes BESIDE the map, not directly on it like it should, leaving the child confused and obviously not learning properly! PLEASE fix this issue so my grandchildren can use this asap :-(

My kids enjoy playing it. Updates we'd love to see to make the game more interesting: more maps (ideas: world map of continents/oceans, US map with cities to enter instead of states), also if the audio stated more than one fact aabout the location - my kids know them by heart by now. Haven't opened the updated version yyet, but i think we'll like the turn off hint feature. Thanks!

Works great on Xoom. My 4 year eold had a good time with it. Only drawback is that there aren't enough facts about each state, a bit repetitive after a couple of rounds of play. Something that could be easily fixed in a version update. Otherwise, good learning program for pre-school/kindergarten definitely

Got this for my 2 year old Granddaughter who loves puzzles and we sit and do it over and over, I have learned things too which is great especially as I am still fairly new to the USA. Would love to see extra maps that include things like the capital cities, state emblems (flowers, birds) and maps of the world with the countries and oceans.

Great learning tool. I can say from personal experience that the developer is very engaged and thinking of new features already especially for older kids. Very receptive to feedback and has an opportunity to make this a great educational tool. Will definitely be 5 star as it evolves but download it now to help support this development.

Works well both on my Transformer and my daughter's GTablet ( even if Market says it doesn't ). Only issue for me is that it's called 'Kids Maps', Maps with an 'S'. But US is the only map. Good start, but hope there is an update to truelly make it 'Kids MapSSS.
