The RemoteLync camera is a cordless security camera with a rechargeable battery that captures clips when motion is detected and sends them to you and your network when you’re away. Unlike most other security cameras, ours has both selectable Geofencing and ignore pet functions, which will reduce the number of false alerts by arming when you’re away and knowing your pet is your pet. With the RemoteLync monitor, you and your network can get alerts if there is a smoke or co alarm going off when you’re not there, and you can even pre-program an emergency phone number as a shortcut to make calling emergency services fast and easy.

Their instructions in the box are obsolete & the monitor doesn't pick up wi-fi connection easily. It took an hour for setup. Then, it had detected the test alarms during setup & said "now monitoring" but WON'T detect their own brand smoke/CO alarms set off even right next to the monitor during regular operation. Plus, SMS alerts are no longer supported in the app per Kiddie's forums. Returning all & not trusting this brand again.

The cameras have been working really well. The quality is excellent and the battery life is good. The issue I see is that the software lacks a lot of features. Once they upgrade the software this device would be worth the money.

I purchased the monitor for smoke and CO detector alerts. The monitor did not detect the smoke alarm signal during the first test but it said it completed the setup. When I tested it again it never heard the smoke detector or CO detector even though they were close by. The app is nonsense. It's not intuitive and does not follow what's written in the setup part of the documentation. Garbage. I'm returning the monitor.

This is a great idea, and when it works it's fantastic. But for the most part, it glitches and won't load the video, and it locks up constantly. If someone were robbing me, they would be done by the time I got a video to actually load properly. I guess home security is just a dream. I'm done, returning this paper weight!

The Android app needs to be built properly and work similar to the iPhone app. Setup is more robust on iPhone app. The menu logic and labeling for items and menus is confusing cumbersome and needs reworking. But the idea behind the detectors and app is amazing.

Just says "unfortunately remote link has stopped" I cannot install smoke alarm monitor to app or WiFi . this appears to be half finished Hardware and software. What a shame. Waste of $99.00 . it certainly has potential but not even close to being a worthwhile product

Quick and easy to use, camera works great. The only thing missing is a live view for camera positioning and a schedule. Still, this is the ultimate mini security camera. Love it.

What's even worse than the fact that half the people are having the crashing issue is that there is no response from Kidde, so I can only assume they don't care.

What a waste of time and money. I paid $99.00 for the monitor and $149.00 for detectors. I spent almost 2.5 hours of setting and resetting the monitor, until it was finally connected. I looked for a way of inputting my e-mail so I could be notified if it detects a fire. The only thing I could find is how to sign up for a subscription service. Everything goes back to Home Depot tomorrow. I will go to Lowes and purchase a different manufacturer. In the past Kidde had great products, this is not one of them.
