About Compass
Compass is a very simple compass that shows magnetic north, heading relative to magnetic north, latitude and longitude derived from GPS and cell provider data, speed, and altitude; and includes a night mode and qibla mode.
Compass requires internet permissions to receive the location data that it uses to determine your coordinates, speed, altitude, and since it is an ad-supported app; ads. It does nothing else with this connection and does not store the data. In the absence of an internet connection, Compass will display your last known coordinates, speed, and altitude.
Compass will soon be updated with metric unit selections, night mode, true north, additional languages, and additional functionality.
Designed for phones and tablets 4" and larger.
---> There appears to be an occasional crash happening when all locations information resources are tried and return null values, which is to say ... there's no location information available. I'll try and get it resolved so that the compass still works as intended, regardless of whether a stable GPS signal in available.
*About the Qibla: The qibla is relative to true north and is the shortest distance between your current, or last known location, and the Ka'aba. In the absence of GPS data, the Qibla is determined from Magnetic North. Antipodal locations can produce meaningless results; which is to say -- if you are on the exact opposite side of the planet from the Ka'aba, any direction you face is correct.
**Coming soon: Metric/Imperial units, additional language support
