The Antikensammlungen and the Glyptothek on Munich’s Königsplatz – which together form one world-class museum – bring the worlds of the Greeks, Etruscans and Romans vividly to life. Works of art made from a wide range of materials including ceramic, gold, silver, bronze, glass and marble give visitors an unparalleled insight into the world of antiquity. The artworks from the two outstanding collections span thousands of years, from the Cycladic civilization of the Aegean in 3000 BC to the late antique period of the fifth century AD.
