Get your Screen on! Screebl is an application that controls your screen based on orientation, proximity, and movement. It's better than SmartStay and it works on any phone, not just Samsung. The fundamentals of Screebl are based on a simple observation: we generally hold our phones or tablets in roughly the same positions when we're using them. Screebl uses the accelerometer in your mobile device to detect how you're holding your phone, and when your device is within a configurable range, the screen is kept on. Move out of that range, and Screebl releases the lock and the screen is allowed to go off. It sounds simple (and it is), but it works amazingly well!
How does Screebl save power? Well, it's simple. On most phones, the screen is the single largest consumer of battery power. With Screebl running it's possible to reduce the average amount of time that your screen is on by only keeping it on when you're ACTUALLY using your phone. The amount of savings can vary significantly by device and usage patterns, and some users see a small net cost rather than savings. Experienced the same issue as other users when Lollipop was pushed to my Samsung S4. Works great now. I really like this app. Wish there was a way to turn off the big notification bar since I never need to use it.

I actually love Screeble. Reading some reviews here gave me the impression that this app was an upcoming replacement for Screeble Pro, and that it works with Lolly Pop. But when you install this it says all improvements have been moved to Pro. I've used Pro for 2-3 years, but it has not been consistent on my Samsung devices, especially on LP. Wrote the developer, get no response.

Love the beta, but for some reason using the prox. sensor on my phone disables the whole app (OT 997D), but the thing I miss the most is the inversion function, for laying on my back or on the side, which doesn't seem to be present in this version. It's the only thing keeping me from switching from the old Pro version.

It's an excellent app. I have been using Screebl lite since last year and never faced any issues. Now, with the update to 4.4.2, Screebl lite gave me some issues as it gets disabled of its own. so i installed Screebl Beta n again...my awesome exp. is back. It's too good. Is there any way by which i can remove the Screebl from the notification area? I dont want to have it all the time in my notification area.

If you're like me and do a lot of reading on your phone but hate when the screen dims or turns off, this app is for you. Screebl keeps the screen on when you're holding it and turns it off when you set it down. The pocket lock feature is also great. It turns the screen on when you drop your phone into your pocket and then turns it back on when you pull it out. Simply wonderful.

Updated app deserves an updated review! Still working as expected, even on Android 4.3.1 (PACman nightlies)! Pro and Lite versions are not, but that's to be expected. Love, love LOVE the new screen lock option, as I frequently read the news over brekky and need to lie the device flat on the table. I'd happily buy the pro version to support the dev, as this is basically a whole new app. 180% recommended for the best power-saving and general convenience app I've had the pleasure of using.

Screebl Beta just gone with the last version (3.0.33). If you update it you will loose all simulate pro features and Screebl Beta will turn Screebl Lite.

I've had Screebl Pro for years now, one of the better app purchases I've made. Recently, however, it hasn't worked the way it should, and since I updated to 4.3 it hasn't worked at all! However, this new beta fixes all of the things, really digging it. Glad to see you're back to working on it, Keyeslabs!
