Notify (OLD) for Android
Works alright for my lil' botnet. I imagine it'd work great for larger CNC projects and anything else you have to leave for large amounts of time. Requires internet or data access, hello world bug goes away when you restart the app, settings doesn't open. Works on my rooted Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.
App is still buggy but server runs quite well. Requested feature - mirroring notification on server and storing that data in persistent database..
Very simple but powerful idea, well done and it works. I was looking for exactly this so very glad to find it was already done. I typically use it to notify me via my phone at the end of a long-running command-line process run on a Linux system.
Works great! Thanks for putting this together!
The Node.js server side component was a simple install, however from a few quick tests there are some small bugs. For example, on a Fedora system I used as a test, ending a text string with an exclamation mark causes the string to get mangled. Presumably the history of received messages is meant to be displayed in the app, however nothing other than Hello World default string appears. Also there is a Settings in the app menu, that doesn't do anything.
Hello world bug! Settings not working.
Great little app. needs a few more features, but is a very good start

Good Idea but it doesn't work on my phone (LG X Screen with Android 6). It only says "your identifier is: hello world!"
