What if there was more than 12 notes in an octave? or less? Create new instruments with up to 53 equal tempered notes per octave and explore the sounds of such instruments with this app. This music pad also allows you to slide up and down the particle beams to create cool sounds by increasing the pitch smoothly betwen octaves without changing the note. These features combined enable you to create new unique sounds that cant easily be replicated on other instruments.
Notes range from C1 to C8 (play across 7 octaves).

The concept behind this "digital instrument" is simple: take an x-y coordinate plane, map the notes across one axis, and the octaves across the other. What makes it awesome is that the dev, realizing that notes are just points on a continuum, decided to map the continuum itself, and let the player decide what points to use as notes. The result is an app that is not only fun, but that also illustrates the underlying structure of music in a profoundly simple way.

Didn't expect much but it's very entertaining, and could become a very legitimate musical instrument! With a larger tablet, it would be easier to play polyphonic music and the RANGE, is incredible. I find it similar to my organ music but with up to 53 microtonal notes per octave, you can be very effective in imitating the background music to "The Day the Earth Stood Still". I find it easy to form chord structures and then chromatically modulate them. All sorts of potential.
