Gauss Meter for Android
Excellent app, one of the best. Inobtrusive ads (dev gotta eat!). Just walking around the house shows background fields and allows one to see the electrosmog from fans, power supplies (yikes!!) etc. An eye opening app, very easily used and ergonomically designed. As a SW dev for nearly 40 years, I can appreciate the thought and effort that went into engineering it.
Work great, no ads, just like all the devs apps. Thank you

Accurate and professional!
Neat idea, but way off from a calibrated meter.
Everything from KEUWLSOFT is top-notch. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I give very few 5 star ratings. Really, it is not that hard... The app must do what it says it will The UI must be simple and work well There should not be unneeded permissions for the app to work There should be accessible customer support* This app, and the other apps from this firm, are the pinnacle of what apps should be. I would like them to have made many of the apps on my phone. *I am only guessing about the customer support from KEUWLSOFT, because I have never needed to contact them about a problem with any of their apps, and I have about 16 of them! I wish they would come out with an on/offline maps app too!
I am not sure if I can trust this tool. I mean, I am not sure that the indication is in Gauss or miliGauss. If it is in Gauss, it means I should be dead since the measurement at my office shows readings between 0.5 and 2000 G and the safe range is 1000 times lower...
Great app, usable for detecting current in wires, checking guitar pickups, R/C motors, how my Weller soldering iron is working... Regarding the compass...I'm pretty sure the compass display is intended for indicating field polarity, not for navigation. Anyway, I don't see any difference between this apps compass heading and the one in HandyGPS. I have the developer's accelerometer app also installed, same as this one it's free, noninvasive, and works great on my Galaxy S6 hardware.
I'm starting to think that people don't really know what an electromagnetic field is. Btw...my sensors are s#!t
Absolutely Fantastic application. Like posted. You need awesome hardware. Using a cheap tablet will give you cheap results. Great for Ghost Hunting too. = )
From using this app I learned that audio speakers have the highest fequency field in my home =]
I have some neodymium ultra hi flux magnets. This measures the flux seemingly perfectly. 8+ gauss. I'd be willing to donate to the developer.
It's easy if u doubt this app get a magnet and put tawards Ur device it warms I got devises that cos a lot of money and this works just the same as them I do geology and work in that field I know kid of how it warms very similar products!e by the way only one thing I can work out extremely impressed scored a 4 star cos can't work out the one thing when I work it out will give 5 defo very clever app well done guys
THIS APP ACTUALLY WORKS. I put my phone up to my old AM radio and it went from ~.4 all the way to ~16 gauss. If you wanna bust some ghosts, choose this app.
Free as in "add free" on top of that. Yet this is the kind of app, I'd be willing to pay for , too.
Put the gauss meter next to a magnet & got an excellent response. Love the sound function too! What's not to like?
...also very concerned. My phone's magnetic sensor is in the same location as the memory card. Could I trust this to not scramble my data? Aside from that, the app is a reliable read. Cheers!
I put a magnet by it and it spiked, didn't expect that it would work honnestly.
It works good as always with any of these apps it's performance Will be limited by your devices sensors.
Yup, it shows that the phone can detect magnetic fields. I tested it with items known to be magnetic.
Every time I point at something, it gives different reading. Useless and misleading.
Works, and the best part, no adware crap! Simple, easy to use interface.
The app is fake theres a magnet in the cell phone i tested it by cutting my tv off fully unplugged it and it dident change i put my metal scissors at the end and it reached 8 gauess well its a good metal detector lol
There is units mistake, Gausses, has to be mili Gauss.
I work in the oil field and was in a bind at midnight of course and needed a gauss meter to check the magnetism of some equipment. Praise Jesus King of glory! This app works better than the little hockey puck meters my company uses. Granted what I'm using it for simple z axis magnetics. But it saved my rear end.
This little app is nothing short of amazing. It truly works. If you don't believe me, give it a spin for yourself. I measured the electromagnetic field of my computer and other electronic devices in my house and then took it outside to measure the EM field of a high voltage power line close by. The closer you get to an EM field, the higher the reading. I was amazed at how much EM radiation my desktop computer emits when I place the phone within an inch of it. Parts of my house give out higher readings than the high voltage power pole outside. What an eye opener.
The compass reads diffently to the internal one. DO NOT USE FOR NAVIGATION. Makes me think how the other readings are possibly way off too. Since it gets info from the internal compass something is really wrong. And yes my phone is good quality. Galaxy Note edge 4.
Awesome app. It just needs a better look. Like different colored Magnetic measure. I like the volt tester look, just looks like its one from the 80s, dull orange does it no justice. Lol
How well the Hardware works is one question, IF this APP works perfectly (seems OK) then this APP gives more to fiddle with than the others. It remains to be seen if I can get a REPEATABLE result, currently the orientation seems to have more to do with the Display than anything; could be detecting the Earth's Magnetic Field for all I know (and thus it is too sensitive to find a wire or magnet).
After exhaustive efforts to figure out why I keep getting sick, have "tinnitus" (but not really...I just have a very acute sense of hearing due to poor vision), and my last dog dying from horrific seizures (reason for which never clinically determined), but ALL occurring AFTER installation of "smart meter" by electric company, DECT phones, new smart phones, curly light bulbs, etc., I got a hunch. Downloaded this app. and am STUNNED at readings. Only works with very high quality phones though.
App works amazingly well for sensing weak magnetic fields, but my Galaxy s4 doesn't seem to have much of a tolerance for strong fields. I was trying to see how strong some subwoofer motors (the magnet part) I have are, but I couldn't measure anything higher than about 33 gauss/3.4 millitesla (or, about a foot away) before my screen would turn off. EDIT: Also, this thing is awesome for demagnetizing tools! Drill shavings don't stick to my calipers anymore! This is amazing.
This app has a great design but like many phones, my Nexus 5x magnetometer/compass is not great. That's not the fault of the software!
Roamed around the house and placed it near outlets and electrical panel. Actually gives readings. The weird part is that I sometimes get really high spikes in empty spaces in closet or middle of rooms. Ghosts?
Thank you for not asking any info I wonder sometimes what they do with all that info they get from app users. Hmm
This is a pretty great app especially if you consider the price (FREE) but regardless I think the interface is spectacular. The analogue dials are a really nice touch (especially for those of us old enough to remember when analogue tools were the norm). Can't wait to check out your other tools.
Respond to lcd monitor and phone speaker. Not sure if the numbers are correct but at least u get an idead of the difference between measured and background.
Tested lots of crap-apps intended to measure magnetics, this one does the job! Thank a lot ! BTW... Why it keeps nagging on my firewall, that it needs to connect to internet, scanning ports 2 connect Tesla's?
Tried at least 4 other EMF apps. This one is the best, by far. A great set of options and features. Would give 5 stars for a full screen mode and larger text in the settings menu.
Absolutely Fantastic application. Like posted. You need awesome hardware. Using a cheap tablet will give you cheap results. Great for Ghost Hunting too. = )

Being both light-sensitive as well as neurologically affected by electromagnetics due to an auto accident, your app is propitiously appropriate.
