About Audio Frequency Counter

Frequency counter based on the microphone input. Counts when the input rises or falls past a set level and converts into into frequency or a time period. FOR INDICATION ONLY. Results depend on your device and its hardware. If you just want to know the frequency of a sound with harmonics (e.g. mucial instrument), a FFT based app such as keuwlsofts spectrum analyser or guitar tuner (both free) will be better. This app can provide more accurate frequency measurement for single frequency input signals. Features include:

Display of triggered event count and frequency or time period.
Graph of input signal, 2.5 ms/div up to 640 ms/div.
Gate time of 0.1s, 1s, 10s or 100s.
Gain from x1 to x1000.
Trigger on rise or fall.
AC or DC coupling.
Set a noise level so new event is not triggered until the signal has first passed this level.

More details can be found on the website.

very inaccurate. try to 'sing' a 400hz tone.... updates are slow. no reference at all to measure anything. no

I made a wire that feeds the output audio from my Geiger counter into the mic input on my phone. I was then able to use this app to count the incoming clicks in both Hz (clicks per second) as well as a nice total clicks counter. For example if I get a sample that gives me a reading of 75Hz, I can work out by multiplying the frequency by 60 that it's giving off 4500 counts per minuet. I'm very happy I found this app. What a gem.

I use this FC to measure signal frequency responses, testing continuous sine tone from in car and home subwoofers. I Have to admit it's accuracy performed well against my usual lcd oscilloscope. Not bad for an app, and weighs allot less than my oscilloscope! FREE TOO!

Anyone can see the superiority of this app by checking it. Just Download some frequencies like 8.0kHz from internet and play it in another mobile phone and bring the phone to the speaker. We can see the magic. L♡VED IT

Drum mode = Capture a hit, analyze the loudest part, show the frequency and the closest note + also freeze the values until the next hit is captured.
