WildSpectra Mobile Lite for Android
It took me a couple of tries to get the settings correct but once I did it worked perfectly. Thank you very much to the app developer.
Read the tutorial but all I can tell this is just an audio recorder.
Regulated my Seiko which was running -10 secs per day. After using this app the watch is +1 secs per day. Highly recommended.
Works great for setting the beat on old watches highly recommend.
Works great with some of my phones.
Amazing app for quickly regulating timing
You tried your best.
I regulated two automatic watches (both around 40 years old). One lost 5 minutes a day, the other gained two minutes per day. They now run as good as new, well within the 'limits' stated in their manuals. Thank you!!
I like the app. I would have been clueless without the online video tutorial. I'm wondering what the advantage is in the Pro version over the Lite version?
Not the easiest interface but the video tutorial was enormously helpful. I was able to regulate my Seiko SNZG15 w/ the 7S36 movement from +42s per day to +1s per day in only 10 minutes with just this app and a quiet room. Thanks!
Took a while to figure out how to use it to regulate a watch (read the tutorials several times). Make sure you choose the beats per hour that matches your watch. look it up online. Improvements could be to have buttons to adjust the settings (gap, gain, etc...) instead of touching area (left, right, middle top, middle bottom) on the screen. Also after stopping recording I have to exit app and open again to begin recording again. Overall Recommended.
Keith, it seems crazy that you have not integrated a soft key menu button. My galaxy S4 does not have a hard key menu/settings button and therefore I can also not access the settings. An incredible piece of software, with an android, that I can't use :-(
Very good application, but there is no chance to adjust preferences on Galaxy S6 Edge+ - menu is just not visible.
Update: Any chance you could add "left angle" setting in order to measure balance wheel amplitude? This is the only function missing from this app. Would buy the full version if you add this. Looks complicated to use but watching the youtube clip helps a lot!
I'm using this app to get my Clock into beat. It has 7200 beats per hour or 2 beats per second. I first used the spectrogram to put the clock into an even beat. However the wysiwyg Beat Meter is inaccurate. it always tells me the clock is loosing 23min.The real figure is approx.1min. (7200 - reading of 7080 = 120 beats/2 = 60 secs). The displayed top numbers eg. bph/counters sometimes count the correct beats but the wysiwyg figure displayed by the meter itself seems inaccurate and keeps moving allover.
it seems from tutorial interesting but on s6 edge+ does not come any menu of settings so it seems useless, I'll not go to the pro version because no way to verify if works or not. Disappointed
Ok, I had a problem with my LG G4, couldn't access the menus, but posted that and Mr. Wiley responded back in a matter of minutes with the solution. Long press app button to get to the menu. I haven't tried using the app yet but want to just give credit to the developer responding so quickly with a solution. I will update my review once I play with the app abit.
But is in urgent need of a spectrogram zooming (for x and y axis independently) on modern high-DPI screens and also some UI renewal up to the recent Material Design guidelines.
If you can't find the menu button try long pressing your quare or Windows tab and that will take you to menu. Whatch the tutorial multiple times. You will need to. Once you figure it out it's not bad. Pro has better meter though.
Doesn't pick up ticks. Preferences are very poorly written. It's like the dev wrote the app just for him/herself.
I've been using this app to regulate my watches and can confirm its working pretty good, given the fact that we're talking about a phone mic and an app that's is not really designed to do this.
Great but takes a lot of tinkering
Awesome app
Will buy the pro after few more trial. My Galaxy S5 mic is hopeless in picking up sound with this apps. After experimenting with few handsfree kit, manage to find one that work. I put the watch and mic in a watch box to create that noise free environment and it give good result don't need to open the watch case. Will try again later with case open and phone mic. I recommend to use old watch box to get better acustic result. Thanks.. p/s I buy all good android apps that I use, this gonna be one of them.
Needs tinkering to set it up, but some work with the tutorial got it going for me and my Seiko's. Pick yourself up an external mic and go for it. Thanks Dev. Edit: Just went pro, worth the .99 to support this app. Also building a mic from dollar store parts. Don't blame the app if your mic is trash, the mic is the achilles heel and the dev isn't the one that made it.
i was looking for a professional sound monitoring system for android, similar to Pulse Console in linuks. i found this little guy. not exactly Pulse Console, but almost there. awesome job, awesome app... to all of you saying that it sucks:... if you don't know how to use it, or, don't understand the settings, you probably don't need it. leave it alone, and don't burry it with 1star ratings.
Call me noob , try to use it on the galaxy tap pro,but no menu button, so can' t access settings... Thank for you fast reply, I can use it now, great app. But the mic pick up a lot of ambience noise.gotta find a silence room.
Looks complicated to use but watching the youtube clip helps a lot!
I have been an Android user since it first came out and this is honestly the first App i have ever been compelled to rate and I will tell you why..... This is quite simply the most inovative software I have seen on any platform, ever. I only wanted it for the beat counting module, which is brilliant and just what i wanted. Thank you Mr Wiley and please dont ever stop developing. One tiny request.... Could a future upgrade show a combined average of the 10 / 20 / 60 sec averages? Cheers !
Love it. Easy to use.
Works well..really cool app! Minor complain: I had the app freeze a couple of times on my Samsung Note 3 neo with the OS become unresponsive. I think it happens when the screen is rotated.
Finally my watch doesnt loose about 30s every day, its not between 1 and 2 :) amazing app :)
I would rate it higher and buy it if the real time spectrum can be shown bigger with scale, and with option of scale between linear and logarithmic.
When running the test to check for hardware supported, it locked up my droid x. Bar stopped at 100% and stayed there for 15 minutes. Pulled battery.
Does not work. Samsung Galaxy Tab.
I just tried it with some of my mechanical watches. It's amazaing. Thank you. Considering it's free, it's doing a perfect job. Btw, I read a tutorial about the settings for that specific use. :) Is there any PC version or similar? The real time analyze feature is what's most amazing to me. Once again, thanks!
I liked it just didn't need it, it did however give me a new perspective on music and sound
Impressive. The "lite" version does more than SpectralView Pro does. Great for finding those high-pitched electronics whines.
Great app Keith! Is it possible to record through the line in though?

Thanks to the author I can fix the accuracy of my Hamilton mechanical watch , which is now at 15sec+, and it corresponds to my own measurements. It did take me a day to figure out how to make it read the watch's tiny audio signals, but finally did it, thank you for the app. The key to success is very very quiet room, I even went to my car to test. One suggestion is to make the key numbers bigger, need to use a magnifying glass. Also a button to make a save of the numbers.
