About Nearby Ingress
Please enable location services first.
When launched, few seconds required for acquiring your location.
After that, Intel Ingress Map will be shown according to the location.
First time you launch this app, you need to log in with your Google
account in order to access Ingress Intel map, as same as when you
accessed through a web browser at the first time. The account
information your entered is just fed through the standard android web
API to the server. No information is stored locally in this application.
To be implemented in future:
- bookmark places
- default magnify setting
- etc
(wondering how to enable menu w/o reducing app screen size ...)

A couple minor things.... 1: I have to log in every time (only have to enter the credentials once though) 2: The map loads rather slow. Speed up the loading, and I'll give it a 5

Because it loads your area versus the entire intel map it's so much faster. Helps plan out onion fields and what portals I need to take down. And hey its free

Get this app, get an advert for the benefit of seeing what you are already using. I would rather press the 'location' button in any webpage rather than being forced to see ads on such a pointless app.

It prompts me to provide my Google password while I am already signed in. Chrome does not need me to sign in redundantly when I want to see the Intel map. It comes across as an overly aggressive password collector, unwilling to wait until you really do need to sign in again. Of course, I could be wrong, but I'm uninstalling without accusing.

It has a password collector if it isn't then why won't it show you the address..... Trust me I know what a fake looks like.

360 Security flagged this install as a trojan, and while other antivirus apps have given me false positives before, 360 *never* has. Besides, there are better apps available (IITC) w/o even talking the chance. Blown out!

Doesn't use phone account login, and instead displays a Google login page that cannot be verified as authentic. Can't be too careful these days.

Finally an app that loads the Intel map based on my current location. Works smoothly and you don't have to type in and search from the stock global Intel map.

Does nothing. Only app to access Intel site. After start, takes you to official ingress Intel website. You can do same using browser. Useless until you want to see the same site with loads of ADVERTS.

Great app but the flashing adds just spoil it very distracting when trying to concentrate on linking etc

It's a useful addition. Login is the standard way Google does things on my phone. I always have to enter my Google ID from scratch. Then I enter a Google Authenticator code. It seems to me one *can* be too careful these days.
