MP3 GAIN for Android
Podcasts weren't loud enough for me to listen to with my ear protection headphones while mowing. MP3Gain boosts the volume nicely. There's some mild distortion, but that goes with the territory.
You need to add an option to analyze, to know the mp3 volume before converting. On the internet each mp3 has a different volume and this app does not show the volume (dB). So there's no way all the mp3 have the same volume.
It saves the modification of the original file without our permission! Developer, you should ask the user before making any permanent changes.
Works on my old phone but the Moto G4 with marshmallow doesn't allow the app to search the file. Hence now useless to me.
I have my music on an SD drive from which I cannot add. So, pretty much useless. Galaxy Note4
This app was great until it wasn't. Stopped working again for no reason. Pls fix. -Moto Z Force
Doesn't seem to do anything. I tried adding an extreme amount of 10 and didn't notice a difference. Yes i used the add gain after slider adjustment. ?
Please include support for an SD card and possibly undo with ape id3 tag support just like in DOS.
Very good for balancing music level to equal all music. Takes a little time to get it right, but after you learn it, does a great job.
Volume gets louder I'm app but not anywear eles, plz fix (was working)
When I lower the gain by lowering the dcb, and tap on 'apply gain' nothing happened to the file.
I have HTC 10 , it run , but no use.
Useless if it can't read external SD card.
Completely solved my volume problem ty
The app was hard to use but once i figured it out it worked great!!
This post is her punishment for making her to hide my phone in her bedroom... ANYWAY, I am going to use this tool to increase gain on my only metal song on my mp3, use it as an alarm, and scare her at 2:45 am with the song... R.i.p Paula neenan
Doesn't work with Samsung S2 . No menus. No instructions
I'd rate it 5 star if you add Analyze feature just like the PC version.
v1.2 = fix filenames containing special characters
Nuh I give up...it doesn't do what it says it does...very simple interface which is great...but it just doesn't do what it says it should...uninstalled
Good job, I know you from about 2006 and you never failed. Try to improve and good luck.
Cannot open mp4 container files with mp3 audio inside
Cannot edit sounds well. DO NOT INSTALL
i use huawei mate 9 but can't gain
Hear lectures no matter the volume
Deleted my mp3
Awesome!
It's ok
Seems to work ok
This app just give me what I want. No more no less.
The app just looks like it's doing something, However file access times and volume levels do not change, Neither do the MP3 Tag volume levels. Running Android 6.0.1 February 2016 Security on a Nexus 6P.
This is not self-explanatory. Where's the "apply gain" button? Can't figure out how to get the conversion completed.

Would like to see Up/down buttons or wheels to assist precise gain adjustment, more human readable analysis info
This is what I was looking for. I wished it included features like noise reduction & a spectrum to see where I need to adjust my music, but it does what it says. It's a good app that I like experimenting with.
Watch out, previewing will save changes. I never clicked Apply Gain, which it says is required to change the file, but just by trying to preview it ruined the original/only copy of the file. I set the option to limit gain such that the file won't clip, but it's all extremely loud static now.

Can only add files individually. The ads are really bad.
Where is the boosted new mp3file located ?.

This was the only app that could increase my music for a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. It didn't ruin my music, I even did a comparison between Play Music and MP3 Gain and it was definitely a HUGE difference. I recommend using +3 db. And ONLY CHANGE IT ONCE because it automatically saves the next time you change it with what you already have added. If you do change it again by accident then you'll have to delete the actual file. Also, if you click on the music file by accident and don't want to change the db then just use "0" as it already is and then click "Apply Gain" so it won't effect what you already have set. Enjoy!
