Smart Folder - App Organizer for Android
I think overall it is a pretty good app and fairly easy to use. One thing that would help ALOT is being able to delete categories you don't need at all. That and being able to rename folders that are sitting on the desktop. If you can fix that I would give it six stars...lol. Or am I missing something here?
It starts of amazing, the perfect categories, stunning layout, easy to navigate. Then it disappears! And you're left once again worth the disorganized over populated, window upon window of apps, that you're not sure about. I the design had integrated grouping app icons on the screen I would have paid for this app for Neufeld and my friends. Nice try, thanks anyway. Okn so now b it only let's you put 3 folders on the desktop. Omfg.
I installed this app yesterday after seeing this functionality I thought it is a great app to use in my mobile so that I bought unlocker also, but now the problem is after reboot all shortcut folder names becoming smart folder name. I'm using one plus3 mobile so that you will get to know android Specifications. if you can able to fix that bug I will be happy that I spent money for this app.
Used the free version and was happy enough with it so I decided to pay for the premium version. Only to find out that the only extra you get is you can un show any unused categories, a lot of money just for that one feature. Therefore I suggest you stay with the free version. If you could have had extra features like renaming categories, rearrange order or personalise that the extra money thatwould have been worth it. Please do not waste your money unless the developer can offer more for the monies paid.
"Development is ACTIVE!" - never updated since 1.0, 2 years ago. Though I should have verified this claim, the lie influenced my purchase, which is a bit annoying. It does the job, but is buggy (for example, the categories along the top don't refresh if you auto hide empty categories, you have to bomb out of the app and restart it) and the folder icons are super ugly.
For someone who uses way too many apps this is the perfect answer. It automatically places any new addition to the proper category after it's installed. You're probably on this already but please add customisable colours for the folders (inside & out) and text with the option to edit fonts. Still giving 5⛤ cos this is still the best app of it's kind I've used. Thanks!
Does the job. The best folder organizer. Very easy to use, simple and nice looking... Just please update icons on folders. That gray outline around the icons looks bad, and will be good to remove the outline. Use gray or blue background for menu with white text and icons will be visible all white.
All it needs is a few little things: Add or remove folders, rename folders and select multiple apps. I really like this app and I think it has potential.
I miss a folder that has an icon on it when something has changed with the apps in it en if a whatsapp is recieved, let the folder please give me a hint. What's also frustrating is that I need to buy the pro if I want more folders on my desktop, but you don't state what you get with and without the pro version. Will I be paying only for more folders, or are there other add-ons. Apart from these issues it's a really very very useful app. Love it.
Needs facility to create your own categories and delete those you don't need. Apart from that this is a good app. But if I keep getting very frequent reminders to rate, upgrade etc it will be removed. Update: Removed. Incessant requests for rating/update drove me mad.
Great so far, I'm looking for an app that I can use to make custom folders to organize my apps in my stock application viewer. I started doing it on my own and with 300+ apps it became to much so started looking an auto organizer. So far this is really nice and will still take some manual work to get things organized the way I'd like. I'll update after using it for more than 5 minutes. Suggestions so far is the ability to make manual folders, ability to rename stock folders, merge stock folders.
Works amazingly well on my nexus 5x, not so well on my Samsung tablet. On the tablet, the app crashes every time I press the settings button and the categories folder with sub categories is not created.
Great but needs a way to change folder names (or add new folders). Also it keeps popping up the 'needs unlocker' pop-up when it starts... but it doesn't
We'll never know since the app hasn't been updated since 2014. Pay to support the"active app development". What's that? However, it works really well.
This is the Best organizer for my apps. Get it you will be oleased. Only thing is I would like to skip unused categories. Very happy otherwise.
Pretty handy for auto classifier. Basically a good sorter. I feel a few of my apps are misclassified but not bad out of nearly 200. Wish the unlocker wasnt so pricey. Thanks to the devs and team!
App organiser. Very useful, saves having cluttered screens. Widgets really good idea but no colour choice.
Would upgrade to full version if there was a setting to view APS by latest installed, most used, purchased, can be moved to SD card. Great AP, but needs more viewing features.
I never ask for it. I don't know what it is. It came with Chrome so why am I being thanked for installing it? More Google Dumb stuff!
Very nice! Easy to use. Thanks! I can't add a folder to my desktop anymore, but I still like it.
Great app! I also purchased the upgrade! A request is what I have, or a suggestion I suppose. It would be great if there was an option to make the folder icons on the home screen see through. Or change the opacity so the apps inside are visible. Anywhoo, great app works great!
Keeps crashing when I click on transportation and asks for the unlock when I have paid. Seems like a con
Nice, clean, simple: only complaints-wish I could put folders on homepage to put shortcuts in. Also wish I could name files.
I tried a couple on the Android app store and this was the only one which does anything, and categories apps in a meaningful way. 9/10 though. Some miscategorizations, probably will improve with more data. The desktop icons are lackluster and don't go with my theme, would like to customize them. Would like a widget to help launch games easily. I would like drag and drop facility to help organize the shortcuts but it's fine really.
...Just 22 out of my 483 apps were in the 'uncategorized' tab (which can easily be placed to the appropriate category by long-pressing an app and selecting 'move'). This little known gem is light, fast, and requires no intrusive permissions. I like! Thank you for plugging the significant void that Apex & Nova still lack.
Smart Folder is the best auto-arranger I could find in the App Store and I now use it daily. I tested a ton of organizers and this app only missed categorizing 5 out of my 304 apps but they were easily classified with just a few clicks...4 weeks later, still being asked to rate SM repeatedly so I'm giving SM 4 stars. (Btw, on my Samsung Galaxy S6 the banner on the bottom obscures the icons in the last row when in a grid as well as hiding the last icon in the list view.)
The suggested aesthetics and flexibility in how this app presents folders on your screen and the defined catagories available is all true. After numerous failed attempts to minimise the home screen view and clutter, retain core apps and simplify access - here is the solution. The only thing that stopped the 5th star was - I would have liked a limited number (perhaps 3) of user definable folders where the catagory isn't listed.
I'd have given 5 stars had there been an option to create custom folders. Come on! That's a must have. If the app developer is reading this, please make it possible. I had thought the paid version would have that option but I was left disappointed.
Considering that I have over 28 games that a typical launcher folder can't handle I needed something (no, not CM Game Booster - too many ads). Fortunately I came across this and it works well as it intended.
Make it world class -would like to customize folders using a side by side slide app to edit. Run auto customize. Option to classify using play google categories. Another option to use tag based categories. Types of assignment current as is now, play google, side by side user assigned, tag based, select method at folder all folders or top level folders. Use short cuts to assign to multiple folder.
App drawer Android is just not my taste from iPhone to S7 Edge. At least after spending some time, I can fix it like i want. Takes forever tho that I have 300 apps
You can't create or name your own folders... Can't change apps name or icon as well. Looks great for an iphone where everything i done for.
Would be great to be able to change icons for the folders, otherwise 5/5
It's only been a couple of days since I began using the app, but I really like it so far. The auto-organizing is a great feature, but you can also move the apps if you want it on a different folder. Looking forward to seeing how much easier this will make working with apps.
First time user and have already donated. UI needs a bit of work, but I would definitely rate as a 5 if we could customize the folder Icons or even better ... android folder design. Keep up the good work
I feel that Save settings, and Multi select would be great to have. I love that it at least tries to categorize the apps.
This is the only one that worked for me. I don't have to do anything, it automatically put my apps that I installed into the correct category in this app.
There are too many catorgies, I wish I could delete the ones I am not using. Everytime I click the settings button, the app says it has to close. Other than that easy to use, find what I am looking for or move the app
I cannot add folder to my home screen. It kept saying to unlock by upgrading the package.

Needs the ability to customize folders. Also to customize placement of apps based on keywords found in the product description. The "system" folder seems to be the "default champion". Twould be better twere it not so. I agree with other reviews saying that hiding empty folders (at least in the main display) would help. Oh, and it should export to Nova, GO and other launchers. Otherwise, nice effort. Simple tool.
