Custom Watch for SmartWatch is a fully customizable watch.
This Smart extension works with Sony SmartWatch 1 (MN2) and Sony SmartWatch 2 (SW2).

Question 1:
Does the Custom Watch replace the native watch?
Answer:
No. Nobody can replace the native watch.
But we implemented an autostart option for Custom Watch on SmartWatch 2. This means Custom Watch will start automatically so it will almost feel like the native watch.
On your SmartWatch 1 you can run the "Custom Watch" with the option "Use as wrist watch" to run the "Custom Watch" App permanently till you stop this app. It will also restart after connection is lost.
Question 2:
Does the "Custom Watch" decrease the battery life of my SmartWatch?
Answer:
Sure. If you use an app it will always reduce the battery life on all devices, especialy if use it permanently.
But, thanks to Sonys last update the low power mode can be used on Sony SmartWatch 2 (SW2) now.
So we maximized the battery lifetime for SmartWatch2.
For SmartWatch 1 users here are some tips:
The display of the Smart Watch decrease the battery life most, so we implemented two options for you:
* "Dim after 10 seconds" to dim down the SmartWatch display after 10 seconds till you touch the display.
* "Stand by after 10 seconds" to turns of the display after 10 seconds and will wake up after touching the display.
So it is your choice how much energy you save.
Question 3:
Is it possible to display the battery level of the SmartWatch.
Answer:
No. There is no possibility to read out the battery sensor of the SmartWatch at this time.

It would be 5 stars if everything worked correctly. The "instant" restart does not work for me (I know it is experimental so no worries). But my main concern is the "timer-dependant delay".... Now. It works and does bring the clock up after set amount of seconds. BUT this is also whilst I am using the watch, trying to use any app on my watch and every 10 seconds (even whilst touching still screen) the watch shows up.... Can you please update this so it pops up from a set amount of INACTIVITY (like a normal phone screen) So if I have it set at 10 seconds, I can use my watch as normal but if I don’t touch anything for 10 seconds, then it can pop up. Otherwise I can’t use this and will have to uninstall which sucks because it would be 5 stars and something I would use indefinitely on my sw2 :(

... the whole thing ruined by the simple fact that you are forced to keep the bluetooth on or it won't work. For me, that makes it unusable. To the developer: it is not true that having the bluetooth on is indispensable, as I am using another app, not so complete design wise as yours, but it adds the watch face I want to use to the Smartwatch's native watch face selection, so I can select it as any other of the native watch faces and use it at will without my bluetooth on. You could use the same idea.

Update: update seems to have broke it. Watch locks up now. Dev did a really good job on the app. So far in low power mode the battery is holding nicely. Thanks for this app, it's a must have.

Was a really good app but since watch faces do not run as widgets, which was made avaliable in April 2014, the app is limiting. There have been no updates for about a year now.

Please please fix font color for battery in predifined modification. It use to show as the same color as other stuff and made for a nice accent but now it remains white when it says (in font color) . please. It use to be just fine

It's a nice app with good features, but I find confusing how it is supposed to work. Sometimes it works flawless, others, does not return to the watch face and shows the native clock. At times it doesn't turn on the back light. It's a good idea, but I think it needs more work.

OK but it turns your smart watch into a watch. It has very nice watch screens which will stay on and look like a watch but spoils all the notifications coming through as it hogs the screen. So you have to ask your self, do you want a smart watch which interfaces with your phone bringing you the latest info, or a watch. I'm sorry because I like the app, but missing the main advantages of a smart watch means I'm out on this one, :-(
