About Norgeskart (old devices)
The most popular map app in Norway. Gives you the best maps of Norway free of charge, available offline and always up to date. If you are in need of a map when traveling in Norway, you will not find better maps than these maps. We have a map and layer for most needs whether going fishing, hiking or skiing.
This version of Norgeskart is ment for users who runs Android older than 4.0. All other users must install our new Norgeskart app. This app has now been made available for all countries.
If you experience any problems. Try to uninstall before installing again. It is also a good idea to contact us by visiting www.kartapps.no. Negative ratings in Play Store alone does not lead to a better app.
Norgeskart is a free app originally created by the developer behind the firm Kart & Apps AS. Kart & Apps has now been acquired by Asplan Viak Internet AS which will continue the work. Paid content and functionality might become part of Norgeskart in the future in order to ensure further development. We beg understanding for the fact that this app is still under development and that we're not able to test it for all types of devices.

Known issues:

* If you experience "Unknown Error" during pre-caching of a map, this is probably caused by too many request over a short time towards the server of the Norwegian mapping authorities. We will fix this is a later version.
* People that do not find Norgeskart in Play store should check that their content filter is not set to "Everyone". It must at least be set to "low maturity".
*There has been reports of problems with the GPS on HTC One S and HTC Desire C. Not sure if this is fixed as I do not have access to any of these models.
*There is a limit of 10.000 tiles per day per IP-address which is handled by the servers of the Norwegian Mapping Authorities. If someone else has been given your IP-address this day, they might have used up your limit. The IP-address of your mobile phone might change during the day due to dynamic IP.

Great topograhic map of Norway. You are able to plot multiple points on the map, change scale, elevation between contour lines and other settings which haven't messed around with yet. This makes it great for hikers, drivers and cyclists to plan a route. I have installed this on both my tablet and my Samsung galaxy s3.

Svært god kartapplikasjon, men jeg har aldri fått søk til å virke. Får hver gang opp ingen treff funnet, og en feilmelding: "An error occured in the Google service. Try again. It might also help to restart the phone." Omstart av telefonen har ikke gjort noen forskjell.

Kjempebra turkart og dybdekart som kan lastes ned gratis og brukes i offline modus. Setter du telefonen i flymodus kan du fint ha denne i bruk i tre, fire dager. Hvis jeg skal trekke noe må der være på at brukergrensesnittet kunne vært vesentlig bedre.

Brukte betalappen fra Navionics før (ca 100kr den gang) men denne er mye bedre funksjonelt sett og koster ingenting!! Synd at statens kartverk har begrensning på lagring kartdata samt begresning på antall tiles i døgnet, jeg glemmer ofte å preloade kartdata før jeg reiser på hytta og må derfor vente 2-3 dager før jeg har alle tiles jeg trenger. Hadde det vært mulig å omgå dette regelverket ved å f.eks manuelt velge et sett med tiles som alltid skal være tilgjengelig og automatisk laste disse ned på nytt når det nærmer seg to uker siden sist de ble hentet? Hadde gjerne betalt for en app som gjorde dette.. Og en ting til... denne appen er konge på 10" tablet :)

I spend lots of time in Norway hiking around. This app is great for that. BUT, 2 weeks tile-keeping is to short. It means that when I go on trip with car/bike for a while, I need to find a fast wifi-point to download the maps again after a while. Also I can not have my maps ready for use on the phone. I would be great if you get to choose what to do if the map-tile expires. And most tile at Statens Kartverk do not expire after 2 weeks. they are update maybe twice a year. Let use what to do on expire, and when it expires. A small warning for old tiles is okay. Also I hope there is speed-limit build in. Because with map-tile programs like these downloading 20.000 map tiles in one go is putting a lot of stess on Statens Kartverk servers. If the 2 weeks expiring is gone, I might want to donate.

First, crash introduced in 2.0.5 has been fixed. All functions are still there. But tile functions are now a sub menu in map menu due to 5 instead of 6 menus being optimal in Android 3.x and 4.x. Narrow screened phones must use menu button or overflow menu to see all menus. Best regards from the developer.

Har hatt denne installert i noen måneder nå, og den har raskt blitt favorittappen min når jeg skal ut på tur. Opplever ikke 10000 kart pr dag som noe stort problem, jeg trenger stort sett bare zoom-nivå 13-17 når jeg er på tur, og det blir ca 900 tiles som må lastes, noe som går på ca ett minutt. Begrensningene som ligger i appen (kart må lastes på nytt etter to uker) tror jeg ikke er utviklerens feil, men heller begrensninger som er lagt av Statens Kartverk. PS: Hvis du bruker denne appen mye bør du donere til utvikleren. Norske kartapplikasjoner er et begrenset marked, og også app-utviklere trenger mat og øl i kjøleskapet.
