Slashdot Reader Widget

Really useful widget to keep up to date with technology.

Using other app for reading /., I can tell confidently this is the best one. Only suffres lacking of showing top comments.

Articles are no longer clickable. It would also be good to have a comment count.

I have actually used this app since I had a Froyo device, but on Lolipop it is utterly broken. It fails to update most of the time, I usually need to remove then re-place the widget to load more articles. The share buttons do nothing at all, and the click-through feature is nonfunctional. Perhaps this app was just discarded and will never get an update, which is a shame.

I used a Slashdot widget on my last phone, but that one integrated with the native browser. Not this one.

No matter where I click, I can't access the full article...

After a lollipop update, I can no longer click on stories to read the article, the widget is just static

Simply works.

Never shows comments. Always a Java script error.

Great widget until I upgraded to lollipop. After upgrade clicking on title does not work anymore.

It used to launch links off the title but now no matter where I click it won't launch

Great way to keep up with Slashdot. Doesn't work quite right on lollipop. No reply from Dev email.

This widget has stopped updating as of the last three to four days. No clue why.

Only problem recently is after upgrade to Android Lollipop (on LG G3) I now can't click on a title to open it in the browser...

A solid and speedy interface to Slashdot news. It even has the familiar dark green colour scheme. I've been using it daily for ages. Thanks!

Good job! Works well on my phone and tablet (Tab 10.1)

Does exactly what it's supposed to do with no setup required. Resizing works fine now. I only wish it displayed the date and time of posts. HTC Evo 4G LTE

Installed but no app to be seen.

Doesn't come up on my galaxy i9000 ICS :(

But sure what happened, but I don't get any updates after Nov 11th 2013. Please fix and then it goes back to the 5 stars it deserves when it works.

resize is sadly missing... every other widget i use has a great resize system, but cant resize with this one... stretched to 5x4 and no proper text fill...

I love that is a widget, I get all the latest news on my home screen at a glance. Great design, just works. More then worth the price.

It's okay but it could be better. Can't click on the article to link to slash dot, and can't see slash dot links from the articles.

Used to be awesome, was 5 star worthy. Recently (last 3 weeks) it has taken a nose dive. Only refreshes articles on a reboot of the device, or removing & replacing the widget. On htc rezound & galaxy tab 3 both, same issue. Needs manual refresh now for this reason otherwise it will be getting uninstalled. Will let stay parked for a month to see if issue mentioned can be fixed. Thank you.

Great. To those who can't find icon, you need to look in your widgets. There is no icon for the app...Just a widget.

Installed on Moto Droid Max HD, but no icon anywhere to be found. Hopefully it will not leave any traces of junk when I uninstall it...

Slash dot can be stupid sometimes, but this app is awesome

I wish all news widgets were as nice as this one.

Almost exactly what I was after! The only real issue is that on my high dpi phone screen (HTC One X) the text is too small to read comfortably. Might be nice to tailor how many summaries it retrieves as well. Great otherwise.

I've used this app every day for years now without fail. If you read Slashdot get this. I hardly ever need to open the web page now!

What more can I say. My favorite content right where it deserves to be.
