About Battery Temperature Detection (Plugin for Tasker)
Battery Temperature Detection lets you set Locale or Tasker conditions based on the temperature of your device's battery. Battery getting too hot? Set up Tasker or Locale so that it dims your screen and disables GPS. Help protect your battery's longevity by helping it keep cool!

Note: If you don't have Locale or Tasker installed, this plug-in will do you no good.
Tasker Users: Once installed, you can find the Battery Temperature Detection Plug-In by going to Profiles, and adding a "State" condition. Within the pop-up that appears, you will see a button labeled "Plugin." Tap that, and you will see "Battery Temperature Detection."

Great plug in but could you please add the other states and statuses too? Those added would make an already hood plug in even better. Otherwise, ty for your efforts.

Use it to for a Tasker Alert if the battery gets a bit warm while wireless charging. Would be great if the current temp was set as a variable so that it could be used in the notifications.

Does exactly what it says and works great. I'd give it five stars if we could get the actual battery temp available as a Tasker variable.

Sometimes a rouge background process will chew up your battery (particularly in KitKat) or you get lost in a game while your device slowly heats up! This plug-in will help you detect when your battery's temperature is getting too hot. Just set a temperature threshold of your choice and a condition is triggered when the threshold is exceeded. This developer has really breathed some new life into Locale! I would highly recommend his other plug-ins for both Locale and Tasker. All work perfectly and are maintained with frequent updates!
