Heart Rate OS - Android Watch for Android
So I figured out why I was having so much trouble. You MUST leave it running at ALL times in the background, and you have to start it manually whenever you start up your phone. It works flawlessly as long as it is running. Add it to your exempt list if you use a task killer.
In the app fix list there is written that this version fixes heart rate check on Huawei but it does not. I have a huawei watch and even if you set the "checking timeout" at 30 secs the app hangs after some time. The heart rate sensor stays lighten up indefinitely and the app does not measure anything. The only way to unlock the situation is to run a check with the "huawei heart rate app". Anyway please fix it. I bought the pro version because the apps is very promising but if it continue with this trend, I think I will really uninstall it. For now I will give 2 stars. If the problem I mentioned will be fixed I will gladly give 5.
This app works well as promised. But I think it would benefit from a material design overhaul. Do that, and I will buy pro dev please respond, edit, no response, switched to heart trace, check it out guys
New Pixel XL and had issue with Google fit but seems turning off body sensor setting then back on might fix it. But a very stable app and works great.
I can only give 2 stars. It did not seems to check the HR for every 5 min. Sometimes it did not check at all. Send feedback twice but seems unable to reslove the problem. By the way, I am using Huawei watch.
Works well without impacting battery greatly. The actual graph display is difficult to read. Would like to see week and month averages so long term trends are easier to discern.
Hit or miss because of the inaccuracies of the watch based heart rate sensor. App itself works great and I like the charts.
Make Android Wear app independent from Mobile phone as when BT is disabled then "Heart Rate OS2" shows as app has stopped working on Android Wear. This is not suitable for such app to have such an issue. Please fix it Device: HTC One M8 Dual Sim Anroid: 6.0.1 Smart watch: Moto 360 Sport (Android 6.0.1 > 5 August 2016 update)
Good, and even bought the Pro key. But I still can't download my HR data from the past six months by day. It returns an empty file.
Actually checks on the schedule you set it too! Provides for a graph of average heartreate of minutes, hours, etc. over a day, week, etc. Although I it would seem to be most useful to purchase the pro key so it can take heartrate reading more often than half hour intervals (to provide for quality control agains spikes), it is useful.I recommend pairing this app with Sport Gear Tracker as it can take your heartrate continuously over a period of activity, and provides data for max, min, and average heartrate.
The heart rate is not being tracked continuously, which is the sole purpose I installed the app. I am using a huawei watch and this app is not useful
I have Notification set to 'Warning' but I am still seeing the HR being measured notifications. Please help, I really like the warning notifications. Great app!
I have a Huawei Watch and am experiencing the exact same issue as Carlo Alberto. I would appreciate if your support team would comment on this issue as it has been raised twice now in your product review.
At least not urbane 2 unless phone is connected to watch. Otherwise it appears stable and accurate enough
Great for forcing heart rate readings on watches that don't periodically check it. It doesn't increase battery use by much either. My Huawei watch will be at 50% after a night of sleep tracking and a full day of use while checking my heart rate every 5 minutes.
This is an awesome app. We have to manually trigger a heart rate check with the smart watches and most of them don't check it automatically at an interval. This wonderfully does what smart watches cannot do.
By allowing me to schedule a heart rate measurement every hour it let's me get the most out of the heart monitor on my watch. It would be nice if I could set the schedule start and end times to different values at the weekend.
Only one issue still exists - when I don't wear my watch, regular HR checking returns values like 90-95. It needs some filtering, probably using other sensors.
Seems to work but has some bugs which are preventing me from buying. Time is out by 1hour which means not reading local time. Doesn't always perform a test every hour even though this is set.using Huawei. UI could do with an update.
I love that I can choose how often it auto checks my heart rate via my android watch. And the BPM to warn me that my heart is to fast for relaxing rate.
The app works well and does what it's supposed to, but the visual design reminds me of 90s software, it's so outdated. The app would benefit greatly from a Material design.
Works okay on Moto 360 Sport, but lots of bogus readings when watch is not being worn.
when it's working, I like it. frequently fails to update heart rate on the hour.
Doesn't track with Huawei Watch 1 like the app says I set it to every 30 minutes but never would test for the heart rate
It says to "click to start" IT did not work!!! Useless app!!!
Why it does not work with my Huawei Watch 2?
Automatic checks don't work on my Nexus 6P.
i use this to monitor my heart in my bipolar to see if i go up or down or if am cycling brilliant app thank-you for making it.
Works recently as it should. Download of data is great but seems to not download all data points. This is an excellent addition to a smart watch.
Great app and it just works! Looking forward to the app getting stronger
Works great and the heart rate check is not annoying like other apps were the watch vibrate everytime
Recently a fix was put in for Huawei watch and now it is not accurate for LG Urbane. Also, no way to schedule multiple off times other than just 1. Paid for full version but still lacks features. Can't get dev to respond to emails.
Thanks to the developer for working with me correcting the issues with my watch. Every developer should take notes. I'll gladly purchase anything this developer releases. Thanks again!
reads and detect the heart rate even when the watch is not on my wrist and gives false result. I cant see which is mine and which false result - Huawei Watch
Huawei watch now working - provides a reading (high) when not on wrist, ideally would know if this is the case - best on market
This is the ONLY app for Android Wear that can collect daily stats like Fitbit. Upload to Google Fit and sync with FitnessSync to get dashboard.
Love the premises of this app, and the developer follows through with updates and compatibility fixes after the fact. No complaints so far!
It doesnt work for a zenwatch 2 andriod wear
Sometimes it crashes my Moto 360.

Sometimes it crashes my Moto 360. Edit: Upgraded to Moto 360 gen 2 and Android 6.0. It works perfectly now and actually does what I wanted it for which is monitor my heart rate during long bike rides. I do hope the developers make it so it can measure my heart rate every 5 or 10 minutes though instead of just every 30. Continuously might be pushing the battery too much, but it still works great.
