Secret Escapes

For whatever reason this app has gone from functioning, to absolutely unusable. It's clunky, slow, unresponsive and feels like a bad port of their website.

Dismal... Slow, clunky, poor searching... Terrible... Hangs so long you think it's crashed....

You can't save offers, heart them as favourites but can't navigate back to them.

Very frustrating app to look at holidays.

Crap. V slow.

During the 1st week app has crashed several times already. White text on top of the bright picture is hard to read. Why do you stress the user, who is tired without you and is looking for escape? Even sorting (low to high) does not work correctly - first it shows 149€, then 45€, then 48€, etc. Are you drunk there or what?

You cannot filter like the website (with/without flights, UK/Europe etc, multiple months) so it's only good if you know exactly where you want to go and when, otherwise you'll have to scroll through hundreds of listings. Another thing, the white text and orange costs are sometimes hard to read on busy pictures, would be better having them in their separate header with the picture above.

EDIT: Won't let me wish list anything and neither will the app let me try and book anything! No good. Already booked and been on a weekend getaway since installing this app! Will keep an eye out for anymore great deals!

Utter rubbish..won't allow me to sign in via email or Facebook. Will take my business somewhere else or even make an app which will allow people to use it

Why does everyone want my email before I decide I want to interact? If I see something I want to buy THEN I will give you my details not before because you will bombard me with stuff I am not interested in.

All of a sudden started draining 50% of my battery life, I haven't even opened the app for weeks! Deleted

it's a great app but it doesn't have filters like the web version. you can't exclude trips which makes the search longer and more difficult.

Now I can't tell if my trip is booked or not. Went back to look for a phone number and crashed again. Awful!!!

No facility to specify departing airport, so have to go into each holiday to check details

Beautiful places but crazy expensive even with discounts. Not many can afford to stay anywhere in the limited locations I've seen. Uninstalled

The WORST app I've ever used. I've got fibre broadband and fast system, but using this app AND their website is about as enjoyable as banging your head against a wall. Unbelievably slow, clumsy, disorganised. A total shambles.

it's just a bundled Web interface. slow and awful. honestly better to just go to the website. really disappointed with the ux, ui and whole product idea. corners cut.

what retard designed the map movement when you try to move up the country ie scroll down it refreshes the page. useless

I have been on a few holidays with secret escapes, and can't recommend it enough. The app is pretty good, could do with some fine tuning in the search engine, but overall happy

The your bookings is next to useless. All it shows is the date and hotel name. Be kind of useful if you could get the address and your booking reference from the app rather than the email... oh and how about a landscape mode.. people have tablets you know....

I love Secret Escapes, I'm a regular customer, but I cannot make bookings as it comes up with an error on the app, so have to go via the main website on my computer.

Poor layout and image scaling on a tablet. A typical example of lazy programming by some Android devs. Apps should be aware of the platform they are running on. Use your web browser instead.
