About Adaptive Torch
Adaptive Torch turns your phone into a 'hardware' LED flashlight
In Quick Start mode this means you can start the torch just by clicking the power button 3 times quickly. In this mode there is no need to touch the screen to switch on the torch.
In Adaptive (or Auto) mode the app will switch on the LED only in dark conditions. If the phone is removed from a dark to a light place the torch will be switched off automatically, and switched ON again if moved into a dark place. This feature is only available for devices with light sensor.
Shake explained: If activated simply shake your phone to toggle the LED, Use for quick switching between on and off.

It's unclear if the 3 modes can all work together at the same time or if I have to choose. It would also be useful to have a table of examples for eac light level. also, once the torch is turned on, how do I turn it off? Is there a good reason to use this app instead of a series of tasker tasks?

Really good and handy! Just put on auto and it switches on when dark and turns off when there's light! Highly recommend it!
