Just10

While it appears to have been a bit of a wait between updates, this is one seriously awesome app. The team is wonderfully responsive and future features sound really cool. It is great way to message and keep people updated. Simply put, it's the best app I've tried on ages and many goes at early adopting. Facebook Refugees should try this out. Just10, keep it going!

The limit of 10 friends is brilliant. It makes me really think about who I want to share with, but without wasting time managing privacy settings. I closed my Facebook account specifically because of the friending overload. I also love the impermanence; no more getting dragged back into discussions I forgot about 3 years ago. It's very polished for a beta, HOWEVER there are two things I find terribly unfriendly: 1. Figuring out what's unread (i.e. posts that have new comments or reactions), and 2. tagging anybody (ex: Having a conversation, and I really want to get one of my friend's attention to provide input on the matter.) Keep it going. This app has a future. p.s. You might want to provide even a minor update, just so the project doesn't look like it's been abandoned.

But I don't have any friends so I'm uninstalling :(

You can make your own custom Meactions that are really cool. Wish you could save data for more than 10 days though.

Features like uploading videos and gifs. Also, the Android process for the app stays on in the background even when all notifications are turned off leading to a little battery drain.

What does this do that facebook messenger doesnt do better? The only thing being supposed respect for privacy, which makes me question your business model. Equally my ten "intimate" friends I am usually happy to share things I write with permanently, the fact I wouldnt be able to is off-putting. The deletion after 10 days feature is something I would only really want for non-intimate friends, if I want them to not have access to stupid / callous posts of mine.

It is everything that the Facebook messenger is,but refined and perfected! I really hope that this will actually become a competitor to Facebook in the distant future,but dreams are dreams I guess. I just have one question, why "just 10 " ? Why not allow for more and rename it? Most people have more than 10 contacts,and I think that this is what's gonna cause people to stay away from it.
