Screen Orientation Controller for Android
It took trying out a few different apps to do what this one does so simply. I keep auto rotation on and then lock out the specific apps I don't want to go landscape. It should come stock!
Happy to find this. Hoping the dev can add an option for both Landscape orientations, that would be perfect.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I had doubted there would be a way to specify the orientation by app, but that's what it does. I ding it 1 star because some of my most crucial apps don't show up in the list (Chrome browser and Setting on my Nook HD). I then ding it another star because I can no longer force rotation from the system tray while in the browser. The app requires me to enter it and set it to use system setting, otherwise it keeps the tray's location off. I wonder if it could allow editing of the app orientation by that same tray toggle. I do like that it doesn't run itself in the tray. As a side note, I tried restarting the tablet to see if that made chrome show up in the list, but that just revoked my chance for a refund. Great idea, but not having chrome in the list is a bit of a deal breaker. Edit: found "Rotation Manager - Control" does this by app for free and open source.
