The ESPNcricinfo Cricket App

My Tab version sends too many push notifications even after disabling it so have uninstalled it. Phone version lacks basic navigation in design. Exits a lot and hangs every time. Only the content is saving you guys.

Comments jumping as page gets reloaded. Mixing commentary of both teams simultaneously. How to see the last over comments after 2 hours of completion of match? Should I need to scroll for half an hour for test match commentary?

I remember how heavy the initial version of the app used to be. But now it's become smooth and it's comparable to other apps in providing live updates. The important feature I love is the daily articles under editor's picks. Would love to see more inclusions on that end. Overall excellent!

It would be an awesome app for us who not only check live scores of international matches but also the stats of even the domestic players(!), but keeping us in the mid of the dark world and enlightened world of statistics, it hangs and crashes rapidly when we check the highest score of Rishabh Pant or Ishan Kishan in Ranji Trophy. Do something you the creator! You are the best! ;)

Nice application.. It was but now not good because it's not giving all cricket live match only that one giving which is live on TV & not live score for domestic cricket I'm totally upset.

Good but full-screen ads are very intrusive Keeps you bang up to date with scores, stats and fixtures, but loses a couple of stars for the now *very* intrusive full screen ads. Same ad, that I had already dismissed because I'm not interested, is displayed only a couple of minutes later!

I like the app, it's generally very useful. But I've started to get pop up ads, on top of the stupid cricket betting ads, which are both unacceptable. I'd pay for an ad free app, but no option. Uninstalling.

One star less because sometimes it doesn't load the commentary section of the matches in the Summary section|tab. For articles, it doesn't load the comments section completely..

Hangs all the time these days. Reinstalled but now it hangs every time I open the app. Great app but worth zero score on the play store. You didn't even respond to my complaint earlier which proves that if you have enough users then one odd user doesn't really matter for u. Finally uninstalling for good. For ur information using a redmi note.

Really good app. Loads of information and live updates from the whole cricket world. Occasionally not intuitive to use when one wants to dig a little deeper (e.g. county championship league tables take a bit of digging to find) but it's all there somewhere. Live updates, news and scorecards for current games are excellent.

You suck crucinfo. Firstly this app collects all your private details via permissions for no reason. Then you are bombarded with crap ads every time you use or launch it. The worst part is that scores are not in real time at all. It's totally useless app and the o LG reason I use it because there are no other better apps which provide such wide coverage. Make it paid app and get rid of all crap, I'll happily pay for that.

The absolute worst piece of garbage I've ever had the displeasure of using. Regularly crashes for no reason. The back button more often than not makes the app quit. Pathetic seeing it's basically just the mobile site anyway. Update: Still garbage. Still closes for no reason and still exits the whole app when you try go back. Garbage. A 3 year old could write a better program.

Why on earth does it not work for a rotating screen? So frustrating having a case on my 10' tablet and not be able to use it. Other than that, info is harder to find since that update too. Prefer the app when I first installed cricinfo. This new version hurts my eyes! However it does not crash ect and it does give the info. Hence 3 stars rather than one.

Considering the amount of content and Data that Cricinfo has, there is a lot more that can be done. For eg., User should be able to set up alerts for specific batsmen, bowlers so that when they come on to bat/bowl, user is notified. There are a lot more things like this that should be looked into. It's a good app, but has potential to be even better.

I promised a 5 star review if the problem with auto-refresh was fixed so here it is. Sorry it took me over 2 years to get round to it, ahem... Actually, I'm going to give 4 stars as the summary page still hangs/doesn't load any commentary sometimes. I'd give it 4.5 if I could.

(Oct 2016 review) Back to being the best cricket commentary site around. Alerts work well, navigation has improved.over the last year. (Jan 2015 review) It looks like the alerting has stopped working again as of Jan 2015. Dropped the rating to 2 stars as a result.

Please provide the option to jump overs in the commentary section. If I want to look at old commentary, say 20th over while we are currently at 77th over I have to scroll a lot to reach there. If am over breakup is provided like on the desktop site (0 - 10, 11 - 20, etc) it would be really helpful. Other than that the app is very good.

The UI needs work to be easy. Needs to have a simple and advanced mode as currently, it takes a lot of time for me to check previous results. Too cluttered and too much information not required every time

Absolute fantastic app for cricket lovers.. you can get A to Z info about cricket.. the best part is the commentary been done during live matches, super duper.. LOVE every moment of it!! I read cricinfo commentary even when im watching match live on TV

Last time I had complaint about vulgar and nude ads and this time way too many ads every time I open this app. It's a Fabulous App But Extremely Disappointed To Say That There are Way Too Many Apps Ruining The Whole User Experience. I appreciate It's A Free App But It Doesn't Mean That Organization As Big As ESPN chooses The Cheap Strategy Of Displaying So Many Ads. Disappointed User.

Seldom are mobile apps able to recreate the perfect desktop experience (for legacy content experiences like ESPN CricInfo). I'm glad to report that's not the case with this app, it recreates all the value, never giving you the feeling you need to access the desktop version for the full experience.

Hangs midway, stops responding, less options to customize menu. I don't want to follow England county but no option to remove it.. small app still uses high CPU n battery.

My favourite app destroyed by ads. The kind of intrusive ads shown, where you can't even click back and have to force stop the app is disappointing. 150 viruses detected, Congrats you won million pounds and such scams should be avoided as ads by Espncricinfo. I will not use this app if I can't read the articles, can I.

I have been a regular visitor to the cricinfo website. And then when I got a android smartphone, this is one of the first app that I downloaded. I use it very often to keep myself updated with news and stats of the game. The only thing that I want here is to have all the options that the website offers. Statsguru, Specials, more improvements in live coverage (in terms of stats and options provided) etc if provided then the app will be awesome! Also, I would love to have cricquiz,ipl fantasy on the app.

Why this app shows pop up of nonsense video such as porn site link and playboy kind link. I totally disagree with this app and feel me guilty when I check cricket news in my office and it is showing these kinds of porn side links.

I loved this app and used it every day. About a month ago though it started freezing/hanging upon launch. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and it still doesn't work. What changed? Anyone else with this issue?

It's indeed a very rich application and fulfills almost all my needs for cricket related information. It is very accurate and reliable. Over the years though, I have experienced that the layout is more cumbersome and there are fewer expert views. Overall though I still access this app for my updates on cricket.

You can't write comments on controversial topics about Indian board or Indian team. Can't write bad about India unless you have Indian names . Also very slow to upload scores takes too much of battery usage.

Needs some work. The app crashes if you open it after a while. Would be nice to see a sort by descending/ascending option for commentary and an option to load more comments in one scroll (pagination).

Observed many times the score fails to update. Even after restarting the app it is stuck at the previous erroneous state. The commentary is better than other competition apps, but, the score and commentary update has to be the priority !!!

Had given it one star, because of its slow speed on my s3 even on wifi..but im upgrading it to 4 now! The update has done wonders! Great job team cricinfo! Would have given it 5, but for the clutter. But no issues,maybe I'll get used to it soon, and so a 5 is on way! ! And yes, ur commentary team is THE BEST in the business!!

Very slow in live score updates. I found Cricbuzz updates much faster than this app. I am using it only because of its match commentries. It sucks more when you have 2g/3g data. But cricbuzz works better in the same network.

Thanks to all the ads on the site and the dynamic rendering they have there, I had stopped visiting it. That app is way better, and has improved since the first time I used it (I'd uninstalled it then, but brought it back on during the India-NZ series.) Good job, but there is still some more porting to be done.

Good as the original. Suggestion - when you look at commentary of wicket falls, showing when wicket fell (runs) would be helpful. Right now I have to go to 2 different places to see this. Such simple things make the experience better.

This is a very bad cricket app i have ever seen. It often close automatically. So i am so bored. Please do something. It can't respond many times. So i hate it. Do something else your commerse will reach to a bad position.

Really good cricket app tied to a service with probably the most well rounded coverage of the game and some of the best cricket journalists going around. The coverage is oriented towards the English team but they make a decent effort to cover other teams and the comments tend to be overwhelmed by Indian supporters but still a great service

As i said in the title, very good app that's easy to use, however the ads are very intrusive. They're not even subtle, they just take up the entire screen. Only thing stopping me giving them 5

ESPN Cricinfo has now become a part of life due to the most comprehensive coverage it provides. Apart from helping its readers/followers stay updated about everything cricket, Cricinfo is a great way to stay in touch with your country's team.

good app...but often when match is in tensed aituation it stops giving update score..also when going to view full commentary it takes too much time to reach where we want to..it should divide the commentary duration like it is done in desktop view..i.e. 0-50 ovrs..51-100 ovrs...etc..
