Pocket PWS for Android
Easy to set up & reliable. I'd like to be able to configure it a little but still 5 stars.
Using on a Samsung S3. It provides a clear indicator of current conditions with no unnecessary frills. Very easy to set up with Cumulus - minutes. Setting up custom fields is easy and works well. (Maybe a few more icons in future?)
Been looking for an app that will read data off my site and not rely on a underground, and this is it! A few more customisations in a future version would be nice but this is a great app as is!
Works well on a Samsung S2. Pocket PWS provides an app and widget for displaying data from a personal weather station. The app supports the wview and Cumulus weather station software. Setup is very simple: install an XML template on the PWS and point the app at the resulting XML file (or point the app at an existing station if you don't have your own). The are config options for how and when data is downloaded. The widget and app display current conditions from the PWS. My only enhancement requests might be a) choice of fonts (the app font is a bit retro; the widget font is fine); b) links to the forecast and radar (as configured on the PWS).
Fina widgets, lättanvänt. Önskar kunna lägga till fler stationer och byta mellan dem.
I have a widget on the home screen of all my devices to display the temperature and other data from my own weather station. I keep getting messages to say the app has stopped but it always restarts itself immediately.
Just installed on my Samsung S5. Had it on an S4. Like it but seems it reports it has stopped quite frequently.
Using with cumulus. A simple, elegant solution that does what it claims to do.
I love the new widget, perfect size.
Great documentation. If followed correctly it works awesome.
Works
Explain where to find URL lnfo?
Crashes on removal from recent apps.
this app works fine on my samsung galaxy s plus. its very nice and now i dont need to browse my weather station from opera or other browser.
After 15 minutes of trying to understand the install of the xml file, I gave up. Just not worth the effort.
Like the use of new things instead of chrome n (GOOGLE) CANT WE GET SOME TRUE COMPANIES THAT NEED TO CHECK THEM SELVES AND WE SHOULD BE WATCHING THIS CLOSELY
Wish widget would display station time (i.e. correlate time of last update) to assure data is current.
Small widget cropped at bottom.

Nothing fancy about the app but it works very well and displays all of the important information. Thank you for creating it! The one thing I wish it did have was a way to link to the PWS' website. Most folks that run PWS have a website and a button in the app or widget that could be configured to open the website would be awesome. Thanks again!
I appreciate the simplicity of the app. I have been looking for an easy way to display my station's Cumulus data without having to rely on Weather Underground. I anticipate great things to come in future versions.
Thank you, this is a simple app that works well. Other Cumulus apps either don't work reliably or have vanished from the play store. It would be good to have display options such as transparency and colours.
