Awesome app
I installed CM13 on my Nexus 6P, and backed up all my apps. On restore, every single app that was backed up would not start as it crashed each time. Two stars rather than one because Jrummy is pretty chill. Disappointed in this app.
Update: after all, is doesnt even let me restore my cloud backup. It only shows about 20 of my 70 apps. -- It TOTALLY needs an option to skip/postpone schedules if certain conditions are not met. Like upload your backups only if charging and connected via WiFi, for example. It has eaten my data plan and battery twice.
Then he asked if i was rooted. He did indicate he needed to update. Didn't backup, sync or restore. Very disappointed. App looks impressive, but no instructions. Good Luck!
It's not perfect. But what is? You need root. If you are running MM or newer then there will be limitations imposed by the os which (currently) NO APP can work around. Correctly restore the path you used for backup files. XML settings will restore within same ROM version BUT MAY NOT in others. Go to website, interact, read, ask questions and fully understand the answers. THERE'S NO MAGIC BACKUP APP. Frequent updates don't imbue me with confidence as to the quality of previous versions. Stability important.
Light version is not worth it , get the full paid version, and enjoy the best backup app ever , You can even schedule your backups And You can let the program auto backup and Auto delete the apps that you install and uninstall what else can you ask for
Fails to backup apps after rom update, tried several different roms and it just fails everytime. Had to switch to titanium backup
I'm giving a 2 because I like JRummy and most of his stuff works well. But every restore fails, even with root. I emailed and received no answer. Disappointed.
Paid version and I have not been able to do an application backup yet...tried 10 times....same error. Need a refund....thanks
Root seems to be needed to restore backups. It's really deceitful to not mention that upfront.
Did not back up user data, so when try to restore the data it doesn't bring back user settings in cm13. Sucks man!
Getting better
Had some issues with other backup apps (Titanium) and their usefulness with text backups (including text photos). This app not only backs app all my apps easily, but the text messages are 100% intact as well. I've used it from 4.4 through to 5.1.1 and have gone through multiple clean rom installs in between. Hasn't skipped a beat ever.
I paid for the premium version, backed up my phone then restored it after resetting it to factory. Said it restored all my SMS, but not one was restored. Also lost all data from one of my apps which I use daily and now have to start from scratch. Not impressed in the slightest!
I just wanted "Backup" button to click, to guide me through selecting what to backup and where to back it up. It's probably there, but I'm too frustrated now to look for it. Going on to another backup app.
The phone needs to be rooted before this app will work. Which means wiping all your data. Hang on, isn't that what you are trying to avoid? Had no feedback from anyone and it looks like it's a rip-off. I want my money back..........
Does not list in the description what items need root. Want a worry free automatic backup? Look elsewhere if device is not rooted

Once i figured it all out it works great. BTW if you read the description you will see this "Note: If your phone is not rooted the app will be limited in some features." So don't give a bad review if you cant read the whole description and see that it, like all backup programs, WILL require ROOT access to do some stuff. And JRummy does have a free version to try it out.
Paid for it but it just does not back up to sd card. It says it is backing up, goes through all the motions but nothing all backs up.
It requires rooting to perform data restore. It was not mentionned clearly. I'd like a refound
Just Me. Ofcourse I love it. It's Rummy fool! Lol. Gotta love the Rummy.

Didn't say it had to be rooted in order to freeze apps (which is the entire reason I bought the app).
Suddenly can no longer do backups. Goes through process and then says it failed, and it did. Used titanium back up for years. Since I like to ROM need a good back up program and Titanium stopped working so I switched awhile back. Going to try Titanium again hopefully they got of together again.
Can't seem to find back ups on my phone for calls logs and texts messages and such and when backing up app data and copying that to another phone via my computer, it doesn't back up any of the app data at all! Just seems to install the app as though it were a new apk. Not at all what I wanted and complete waste of money

I have rooted my phone and regularly use titanium saw this app and the UI looked good hence bought it doesn't work doesn't restore data just says failed tried several times dose not restore user dictionary WiFi settings or Bluetooth pairings nothing works useless piece of junk do not buy need refund.
You can't use ANY of the backup tools if your device is not rooted. If I root my device I will loose manufacturer warranty. Not worth it. not cool paying for something you can't even use.
And batch operations don't work.
When you uninstall apps in Lollipop you have to restart for the changes to take effect
Rooted S4, yet this app still can't backup anything more than Wi-Fi & time zone settings. Batch Operations > Backup Downloaded Apps fails every time, Backup system apps disappears without function. I'm curious what the developer was thinking charging for this. I'm disappointed that I wasted my money.
Does not work with Dropbox restore. Have root
It's a nice product, but the scheduler doesn't work and ultimately (no pun intended), what good is it if you can't schedule? The interface is nice though. Also, the developer does not respond to support emails.
Is also included in ROM TOOLBOX PRO. Please add this to the description.
I surely should have spent more time in the free version before I paid for this. Neither it nor the publisher do what is claimed. Specifically, backup to cloud: it took two hours for it to tell me it had completed my backup via wifi. Checking the destination, only 11 of 36 apps were there. Perhaps that's one of the things for which it needs rooting? I have been waiting five days for "fast and friendly support" but am unwilling to wait any longer. I was able to get a refund from Google.
Doesn't seem like I have the option to restore anything unless it's back to the same device. Not particularly useful IMO. Too bad I paid for it before I realized that it was useless.

There should be an accompanied help or glossary of terms. Freeze is not clearly explained anywhere. Does it freeze the app from updating or freeze it from opening? Is there any possible danger or consequence of doing this. I just gave your app root access to my device and you can't tell me - what actions do what - on my phone? Seriously? Freeze has a confirmation window to ask if I'm sure. No I'm not sure about this app at all.

Constantly crashes when uploading to cloud services, does not run scheduled backups. Look elsewhere for a reliable backup app.
