I had a minor issue with this app on my car's head unit and when I contacted support they fixed it with one email. Fantastic app, incredibly good support. The app does everything as advertised, well designed with a very user friendly interface. I originally just wanted this for the head unit on my car but now I'll use it on my phone also as it's better than the Samsung music app. Keep up the great work guys. (One request - can you do a Carbon Fiber theme?)

No music player or manager app comes close. The themes are stellar, and they come in a variety of colors and layouts. The menu tabs, album art, and song data are easily managed through the settings. The best feature, and the reason I think it's worth donating to the developer for, is the fully customizable equalizer. It enhances the music if used properly. One gripe would have to be the additional fee for cloud features, but it doesn't take away from the value of this app.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Hugely disappointing app. Not only is it massively overpriced, they also have the nerve to request a payment of 99p annually to fully access the app you have already paid just under 6 POUNDS For. On top of this, they don't even have features that you could get with some free apps. I would suggest shuttle or poweramp as an alternative.

I like the app, it's lightweight and functional, which is pretty much all I care about. There's a couple of things I might recommend. First, I'm using a rooted tab 4, but it throws a message that it's not possible to change files on the SD csrd in this version of Android anyway and the link for that message 404s. Second, it sometimes chokes on m4a files - considering it's a semiobscure format, it might be worth either checking that out or just adding an option to ignore it in playlists. And finally, a feature recommendation, maybe add visual glitter for the music, even if it's something basic like a spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope. Other than that, it's a pretty great little app.

It worked great for a long while. I've paid for the full version. Lately the app started dropping the sound for a second here and there and the pitch of the songs would raise, like the doppler effect. I've tried everything to discover what it is and I've concluded it's the Rocket Player software. It only does this on Rocket Player and no other music player. I might have to remove it from my phone.

This is a fantastic media database application with some inspiration taken from iTunes, which is not a bad thing at all in my eyes. Play counts are accurately recorded and updated in iTunes, as are playlist when used in conjunction with their iSyncr tool. The full host of options and settings too welcome for those audio enthusiasts. A fantastic application I have to say! That said, I wish the options menu was a little more intuitively laid out. There are a few repeated options throughout the menus too. Perhaps a reorganisation of the settings is in order. Otherwise great app!

Love it, I finally found a music app that understands the word shuffle, and lets me go back to a song if I skipped it accidentally. It's really easy to use and was worth the $4 to play my WMA files too. Only problem is playback while hooked up to my Bluetooth devices. If I get a text or some other sound notification it stops playing and disappears from my quick pull down menu, so I have to go in the app and mash the play/pause button a few times for it to restart, and then it happens again 20 seconds later with the next text. I would love to see this fixed because I really love this app!

It's a fantastic music player.... One issue I have right now is I just bought the LG V20 and the rocket player opens the app ever few hours on its own and I have to close the app every time... Is there a way to fix this issue? Please help thanks. Is there anyone else using a LG v20 with the same issue?

Best Android music player I know of. I love the folder/directory support. Helps me play my untagged albums in proper track order. My one complaint is that Last.fm scrobbling had been broken since Last.fm's latest update. Fix this and the app is nearly perfect. UPDATE: Now scrobbling fine with Simple Last.fm Scrobbler. Thank you.

I love Rocket Player and the Pro edition was worth the money. Multi-select tag editing would be amazing if its possible! Sometimes when an entire album has something incorrect it can be a pain to go through every track and change it. Also would like a little more color customization. Other than that, fantastic!

I've been using this for several years and it's been great, so I went Premium today. You can toy with the various themes till the color and layout suits your tastes. I worked a long time to get my music's metadata in order, and it pays off with this player via Artist, Folder, Genre, or Playlist. Chris supports the app well and responds quickly for support. The only thing I'd like to do beyond what's offered is to select multiple genres to play. I'll bet they'll add that.

I use this with iSyncr to sync both ways between iTunes and my phone. Rocket Player keeps track of play counts and ratings, allowing iTunes to be updated accordingly through iSyncr. That's awesome for me because I actually do use my top played/recently played/etc. playlists and appreciate that they'll be the same across my devices no matter how I sync them. I also appreciate the simplicity and customization options of the UI a lot. I haven't even delved into all of the settings and features but can say my favorite feature is probably the 10 band equalizer. It's easy to use and effective.

Since I purchased the full version a couple days ago all songs make a horrible skipping noise when jumping to different part of song forward or backwards. I reset the app, an have toggled most settings on and off. Also reset my phone. Used the free version of this app for years without any issues an of course now, after paying, i have a pretty nasty one. Please assist.

Admit I haven't used enough yet to submit proper review. Would like to request a couple of things. Auto playlists : have the option for 'starts with' on a constraint as I use comment field for ratings. Alternatively have way to set ratings by similar constraints Also how do I connect to a music server on the same wifi network like I can on vlc

This used to be my favorite music player, but still one of the best music players out there. Just one thing, please make your 'Spotify' playlist maker available in my country. I live in Indonesia & using your premium app with my Oppo F1 Plus :)

Has every feature i need, works with my sennheiser Bluetooth headphones controls. There is nothing i can complain about. Even the free version is awesome but I'd been using it for so long that it was time to pay up and support these guys. Much respect!

I have used and struggled with music apps in my day. Most are cranky with tunes on SD and BT controls. This app works perfectly and is chock full of features. It also loads up automatically when I attach head phones or speakers. Best music app I have seen. Well done! Be sure to upgrade and support the excellent debs.

Okay, it's a GOOD player! Tons of options! Surprising good sound. However.... The 1 reason I payed for the full version, I can't seem to get to work right. Everytime I change the audio speed, it only applies for a few seconds, or not at all. Other than that. I would recommend this app.

I got the paid version of this app but it still has ads, no simple 'x' or exit function to shut down the app. There are a myriad of better free and paid options out there. Don't get this one. Also does not grab audio files even though you select the right folder. Confusing layout too. Pass on this one

Has everything a music app needs. Playlists, up next, interactive playlists, sorting heading, EQ you name it. Only problem is that every now and then some my playlists will lose half their songs!! Why is this happening!?

R70%
by R####:

It was a great app until it would randomly freeze. I can still look through my songs but when I try to select one it won't play. The play button is just a white circle and the app looks like it's paused. I have to restart my phone in order to get it to work again. I was happy paying the $4 to unlock all the features. Now I kind of regret it.

Big problem with the new update. Artists no longer seperated alphabetically, which seems to have been replaced with a search function. Very inconvenient . I have tons of artists and it used to be so easy to just find the letter of the artist I was looking for and pick them out. Now they're all jumbled together and I'm not interested in the search function. No option to change it back. Paying customer not happy. What used to be a joy to use is now annoying and frustrating, especially when I'm on the go and I'm just trying to pick something to listen to

I paid to upgrade this app so I could listen to more of my music that wasn't previously recognise, and not only did this fail, but ended up with less functionality!! With the free version there was a graphic eq that could be fully customised for every album, but now I have to use per set eqs??? None of which suit what I am listening to, and now they don't even work at all!!! I am stuck with the inferior "premium" version now,... not good.

I don't know whether its a bug or what, but when I try to seek tracks forward or backward, it takes a while to happen. I am sure my phone's not lagging. Because all other players work fine. Please fix this as soon as possible. Its little disturbing!! I'll improve my rating to 5 after this gets fixed. THANK YOU

Been using the free version for almost a year, just bought it now because of how much I like it. It doesn't nag on you to purchase it, you can disable ads in the free version if you wish, and it's got a host of neat features. Simple and fast.

The players good but UI hasnt been improving... the issues and improvements are either very slow or too much under the hood. There is no other player like this one but then its a very slow dev cycle

Wow ! I was a Poweramp user for more than four years.Poweramp did not fit well in my nexus 6p .Best quality Equalizer is integrated in this app and worth the money. UI could have been much more materialistic. But impressed with this app . Good job Devs.

I love this app when it works. It has a major glitch and locks my phone up when connected to Bluetooth or headset connected via headset jack. Nothing will play and it locks up and there's no sound. It's not my phone I've tried it on several devices it needs to be fixed!

I'm a paid user. I would rate this a lot higher if it would save what you're listening to longer than an hour after you close the app. If I was listening to music yesterday and I wanted to resume my music today, I have to completely remake my music selections. Other apps save where you stopped listening and you can resume it later. It's helpful when you're listening to long downloaded podcasts or audio books. This app completely forgets what you were listening too. The player is great, but the resume features stink. The widgets and app need a better memory of what I was listening too before I had to stop listening. So meh... Samsung GS5.

Earlier this was my favorite music app but from last week music playback stops intermittently or player stops on its own. I have have to again start the player. It is as if I am playing an old record that skips. Every song has a nanosecond of no sound. A skip. I have checked with other free music players and playback was smooth without any hiccups. Also I have paid for this app. I want to know that was one time fee or it is a subscription for playing my own library? Please reply.

Loved earlier versions but my most recent experience includes a few unwanted issues. 1] poor randomness. Same track 3, 4, even 5 times in a row. Also, same track sequence after phone rebooted, many instances. 2] started playing out the speaker several minutes after removing headphone plug from cellphone. Most of the time, unplugging headphones causes app to quit, quitting is the expected response. I'm shopping for simpler and more reliable player.

A little unintuitive, but has some great playlist builder functions. The behavioral options (connect with BT/wired, ignore other apps and commands, etc) is pretty control freak oriented which I dig. The EQ is also nicely set with defaults and allows a lot of customization.

Update: Ok so the freezing during songs has gotten way worse so I'm gonna take a star off. I've had this for a long time now and it is great. Very light weight app that looks good and is easy to in react with. I love the tandom thing it has going with isyncr, so I can look up songs on my PC and then just sync my library. A couple of its pitfalls however come in the form of no search bar and recently it has started randomly freezing while playing songs and I have to force stop the app before it will work again. Other than this I would highly recommend the free rocket player, and this upgraded one you pay for. Don't forget to grab the buddy app Isyncr if your main library is on another device like me.

I LOVE Rocket Player and use it as my primary player. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for a bug that has plagued it regarding playlists. I can open a playlist and spend time rearranging all of the songs (including multiple entries of the same song) and Rocket Player won't remember what I did! Extremely frustrating. Please fix this HUGE bug, let me know when you do, and I will give you Five Stars!

I've used this app for a long time. Would love the ability to save settings and position for each playlist (shuffle this list, don't shuffle that one, etc) and pick up where you left off, similar to hire you can pause the app and come back to it later, but have it so that you can pause a playlist and play something else, then when you come back to the original list, pick up where you left off

I think the app keeps getting better in features and reliability. Together with iSyncr it makes it very easy to listen to my iTunes music on my Galaxy S7. I wish the timer would stay set so I don't have to turn it on manually. And once and awhile an unknown artist or album shows up and I have to fix iTunes and reload. But these are minor issues. Best music app I've found for iTunes.

This is an incredible app. I used it every day but since I got my Samsung j2 (lollypop) had some conflicts with the phone. That app touchwiz would stop responding. The app is still great! Better than Google play music. Wish I didn't have this problem.

M70%
by M####:

It is tedious to have to control sound level using the cell phone's hardware button (or hijacking the 'next/previous' software control - which in fact doesn't work). A dedicated software Volume control is a 'must'. The app would do well to have effort put into this and other functionality rather than unnecessary and useless cosmetics.

Rocket Player Rocks! Excellent player! I've tried a lot of others and now i stick to this one. I've been using it for three months now. It seems to be a very reliable software. It reads all of my tracks no matter to where i move them on my SD-Card. I can make its UI very clean looking which i love - i have got tons of songs and i prefer not to be diverted by bells and whistles. I would have a personal wish though to be able to get rid of the album art window and to see the list of my tracks right after i have ckicked on Album, Artist and Genres title. Also i would like the mini-mode player stay in the notification area even after i have swiped the app away. And the last one - mini-mode player would be nice for the lockscreen as well.
