Journey - Diary, Journal for Android
I really like the neat & clean interface. Though i have some issues & suggestions. Issues: 1- There should be an option to sort your entries, not only by the date modified but with the created date & tags etc. 2- Make calendar available for the web application like you did for android. Suggestions: 1- Give the power to user to create his/her own labels or folder, so he can put the specific type of entries in a folder 2- Reminder option with an entry. If someone while writing had an idea & realizes to do something on it today or tomorrow then he/she should be reminded by the application. I think it will be very helpful.
Just downloaded the app and so far so good. The only thing that bothers me is that the night mode option is only accessible upon in-app purchase. Can this feature be included in the free version? Not all can see black on white without experiencing headaches.
Best diary writing app. Actually I'm not good in English diary writing. Whenever I start writing on paper I got frustrated with so much editing with grammar and sentence formation. But this app provides me to write what I want. It has also some great features like photo attachment, classic fonts, tags. I bought the premium version and very much satisfied. I definitely recommend to have such apps in your phone. Give your thoughts a life but don't get identitified with them(thoughts). Hahahaha
I really liked this app. My only gripes with it is how often it crashes on me ... I get the error message "unfortunately, journey has stopped". This is really frustrating coz it hangs when the message appears while the Samsung keyboard mode is on and I can't press the exit key or get out of keyboard mode
I'd uploaded a screenshot of my bank account summary. The actual screenshot was deleted from my phone because I'd already uploaded it to my Journal app. I tried to look it up a few days later but the screenshot is very blurry and I cannot make out anything. Please improve quality of pics.
This is just perfect for anybody wanting to maintain a journal. The issue I see is with accessing this on cloud. Anybody having access to the device in which the Google mail is synced can easily login to journey cloud and gain access to all the data without having to enter the password. Would appreciate if another level of security is added to gain access to data on cloud similar to the passcode feature available on the android application
I think this is app is not only the most important but also extremely useful app for all ages. For me personally this is the most awaited app - diary for long after so many searches and after so much trial for various dairy app I found this perfect one I am so much satisfied and happy with it. Thanks a lot...
It's a keeper! I enjoyed it so much I upgraded to premium. Allowing me to save everything you Google Drive is the biggest reason I like it. I intend to show my kids one day, and I'll use it for taxes and legal issues in my life if and when they arise. Document everything!
The app itself is fantastic. I just do not like the exports at all.. i want to share it with family. But it exports one picture per page... it gets very disorganised if you have for example 4 pictures in one post! It would be better if they show the pictures the same as in the entry itself. Can you fix this?
I absolutely love this app. It motivates me to do interesting things each day and I've been really enjoying taking pictures of my activities. The Atlas view is my favourite because I get to see my entries all over the map... Though I would greatly prefer if the most recent picture taken was the one displayed rather than the one taken for the first entry.
Love this. A clean interface and a great way to brain dump. Attaching images is a bit clunky (1 pic at a time?) And max 4 per entry? It's a tiny issue as you just create a new entry for same day. I tend to update once a day only rather than when things happen.
I like it. Yet I wish it could pop up a window to enter a date I want to search instead of having to move the arrows until a right date appears. Really a pain whenever I want to search an event by dates! Atlas does not show right neither. Some photos I took in Scotland but they show in London together with others taken in London :o I upgraded to Premium though.
I love this app for so many reasons and use it every day. The fonts, layout, calendar view are great. Weather and location are interesting to track mood, etc. Love being able to put links to Web pages too. Wish pictures showed within text, but I like the picture next to the entry for finding entries quickly. Also like picture gallery- tap on picture and goes to entry associated with it. Wish italics, bold, etc were on main bar and showed up in writing view as it does in viewing mode, but I can live with it because I like the final result. One of my favorite apps. Great job!
I am a writer and translator, and I went through a phase where I was trying out every journal/diary app in here-- this is my favorite. Has all the bells and whistles, and mostly available for the free version. This is the only one I kept, and the only one I bought the premium for...
Great journalling app. Particularly love the syncing with Google Drive. Would be 5 stars if you could set a default activity setting. Having to change each entry is a pain, particularly if you forget.
I love this app! The hashtags make it easy to find entries and its cool to be able to add photos. I love being able to write in my journal anywhere I am too. I can even write it in on break at work without looking weird
Really loving this!I Simple and straightforward but has exactly what you'd want in a journal app. Will consider premium if some (all?) things below are addressed, but features do sound appealing. A star reduction because - the search function doesn't bring up tags (or am I missing something? Seems like a glaring gap... ie. I have a tag that is "snow" but when I search snow, nothing shows up) - cannot include both video and photo in the same entry (not sure if this will be a major drawback or not but ran into this on day 2) - the fingerprint option isn't available for me to select even though I have the option on my phone - please have it sync to FitBit
I have used Journey for a long time now. It is stable, fulfills the function really well and synchronises with the Chrome version properly. I have tried another, but returned to Journey. All it needs is to be able to store images etc. on the microSD.
The app works very well and is simple, but organized! I wish it had a few more features, like being able to bold things, change colors, and have pictures placed throughout the text...fun things like that. But it's been a great way to journal and have pictures attached too!
I really like it. It's really simple to use and now I don't have to carry my journal around, and I can have more privacy now. I can finally write everyday without having to hide or put my journal in a save place because it's now always in my pocket.
Easy to use and like the ability to add photos. Only one gripe had written a long story and exited accidently and it lost the entry. There was no prompt or auto save.
There's a little problem, I set passcode in the app, of course it's for safe. But once I visit the website version through chrome, I can easily login with just tap my Google account and see all my diaries without input passcode. How can I say that's safe?
I just started using this app for my Appalachian trail hike. I'm using it to post journal entries and pictures to Facebook. I think the app icon needs to be changed. Currently looks like a generic folder icon. Other than that I am liking it.
This is a great diary app with lots of cool features. The interface looks very pleasing and is easy to use. I would only request the developers to allow us to attach more than four photos to a particular journal entry. Thank you!
A very well designed journal.... Clear, clean and just gets the job done! Edited March 2017 I'm using this on my Android mobile / Windows 10 desktop app and my Chromebook - had to pay for each app!! Major syncing issues to the point where I now just need to use my mobile... What waste of money if it's not cross device syncing
Beautiful clean interface with some beautiful font choices, and the cloud syncing is impeccable. I have it on both my laptop and my phone, and it’s really never been more convenient to keep a synced journal that is easily at hand.
Like it overall, got the paid verison after trying it for free for a year. Please improve: 1. allow multi-select when adding pictures to the diary; 2. improve the way it displays pictures, eg, showing mutiple pictures (smaller size) in one day, in calendar mode.
It's a very robust app . The interface is simple and clean. Can use it to store my daily journal along with other tags. I will be happy if the authors add the ability to add more than 4 picture in a journal . Apart for that I am a happy daily user of this app . Thank you guys for creating such a lovely and efficient app.
The app is useful and very simple to use. You can have your own diary or journal, write it down whenever or wherever you want, and put memorable photos. The nice thing is that I can easily access it through my smartphone and back it up if necessary. I'm glad to use it.
In my opinion, this app is nearly perfect. Easy to figure out, easy to view entries, decent design and interface. The only thing missing is voice entries.
Not much of a journaler or diary person... But this app has helped me improve with jotting down thoughts and ideas. There's a reminder feature that u haven't tried yet but when I make it a goal to actually start journaling it should be extremely beneficial. Really enjoy the clean interface and overall simplicity of the app.
You can write entries in the entry section and also take videos and photos and put them in that section, and you are able to delete them from your gallery to save storage and also keep them on your app! So incredible!
I like the markdown but I'd like it better if I could highlight text click a button and see the effect in edit mode without the mark-up. Publish to WordPress would be more useful if it published as a draft. Tags are nice, but so are folders, but there aren't any folders. It would be cooler if I could swipe a picture into view in edit mode then swipe it back out of view. Sometimes pix contain info that's getting referenced while writing.
I previously used this app on my note 4 and worked great btw and ever since I got my s7 edge this app will not sign in, when attempting to sign in it has a swirling motion like it's trying to sign in but just can't, please fix, weird thing is the widget works fine but you can't open app, only through widget, so that limits you, no going to settings or saved entries, nothing.
Still hands down for both Android and Windows app. I'm not use to attaching photos but can you make like a template folder which we can create like questions etc. I'm using a 5 min journal type journaling and always pasting it here. I hope it'll be in the future. Still hands down.
I have the paid version. Google fit integration seems to work but is slow to sync. Everything else about this app is great
I have memory problems. It's so easy to help me keep my thoughts straight. Wonderful journal. Easy to use.
I've been using this app for well over a year, and it's great. I love how I can access my info anywhere, regardless if I have my phone or not. But, I'd like to know if there was a way to manually adjust the order of mu entries? And also, why do I get multiple versions of the same entry? I end up editing one of those and the other one looks similar. All in all, though, 10/10 would recommend.
With less than a week of experience, I am still learning, but have found Journey to be easy to use and very capable in terms of keeping a record of my travel and life. I especially like the Atlas feature and the way it incorporates my photos onto a world map. Also, I like that I can import my Google Fit data.

A great app for journaling. I have always want to find a simple journalling app like this. And now J have found it! Great customization features, giving you a lot of controls, fun to attach medias along with it, reminders are great, security at its best, there are calendar view, atlas'sview(geo), normal view. Just great! If you don't feel much pain to pay for premium, just pay for it. Markdowns are killer, night mode, inspirations, syncing features and more control! Highly recommend.
