JRA Find&Fix for Android
I understand accessing location however the rest of the requests are unnecessary. Why do you need access to my contacts and gallery/camera? That is a flagrant violation of my privacy. You are here to serve the needs of the city and its citizens, all you need to know is where the road defect is.
JRA & Intervate, are you high? What do you want access to my contacts for? Why do you want to manage my calls? Hell no. Quitel liked the previous version... you cocked this one up lads.
Why does does the app need access to my phone / contacts..... etc to report a problem on the road. So because I refuse JRA access to my phone, I am unable to use the app as it was actually meant for???
Why oh why you would you need access to every bit of information stored on my personal phone in order for me to log a pothole???? How ridiculous!!! Have deleted app!
I constantly get told that this or that falls under the jurisdiction of another department meanwhile street signs and pavements are CLEARLY under the jurisdiction of the JRA worst app on the Google Play Store
Good idea but permissions need to be reviewed or explained. I will not allow access to my contacts or gallery and so cannot use the app. Why are these permissions necessary? I understand the use of camera and location to instantaneously log the location and evidence of the issue. I hope you can improve this app so more people will use it to improve our city's roads.
I can accept that the app needs to access my location but I will not allow it access to all the other things it insists on having before it will condescend to work. Will take my chances with the other contact methods.
Whats the point of having an app prentending that things will be fixed if they are logged, when nothing gets done. Pointless app.
Why do I have to activate my account? How do I do so?
Pointless exercise.
Activate account, where and how
Need to have the ability to close a logged call once resolved. Not all cases have been actioned so no real point logging them. Should have the ability to comment on exisiting cases to give feedback on issues logged
Please make more improvements to the app and Logged reports go unanswered! Seriously becoming a useless app, nothing gets fixed!
As per heading.
The app is decent enough and very convenient but the logged reports go unanswered. No action just makes for another frustrating portal of poor service delivery. Don't waste your time reporting issues because they will be ignored. Deserves NIL stars actually based on service quality of the JRA. Potholes reported 20th June still not repaired by 27th July.
Besides issues not being actioned, this app needs polish, like the ability to close issues, as well as to add information to other people's issues logged. JRA are failing to understand the power of illiciting the help of the public and could probably trebbil it's efficiency if it learnt to use this technology properly. For people to believe in the efficacy of this app it would be useful to see statistics like mean time to resolution, total number of issues logged per month, total fixed per month, etc.
It can only take new photos not use existing ones. Logged an issue on Friday 9 January. I wonder how long it will take to fix? By end of August 25% fixed, the rest ignored or cancelled. JRA doesn't pass on calls to other departments like City Power. They just ignore them and cancel the logged call #WorldClassAfricanCity #useless
Great app but completely pointless as nothing is ever actioned!!! Don't expect anything to really happen from JRA though... It's like a black hole when you report things. A simple update to cases logged like "Our teams are working in area xxxxxx and should be in that area in 10 weeks" would show that there is actually a human at the end of the app. I have reported issues from March and over 6 months later potholes in the middle of Santon CBD are still missing !!!
Have had no action from the JRA on the repair is logged potholes. Logged calls 5 months ago, was told there was a strike 4 months ago and then nothing since then. App is useless of the logged faults aren't sorted out!!
Please make more improvements to the app and Logged reports go answered! Seriously becoming a useless app, nothing gets fixed!
I am happy with the app as it is proactive. I have logged various issues which were resolved (either by luck or through the app)
GPS and map functionality not supported on Sony Z5 Marshmallow OS. Please release an update.
Works great and the staff executed and fixed the problem.
First page is jam-packed, Poor UI
I changed my number of stars from 3 to 4 now. I really like the whole convenience of this app. But please it would be appreciated even more if JRA could issue workers faster to the locations where work needs to be done
Fast acting, and very effective good app
All faults logged was quickly fixed
Don't waste your time as your logs won't get attended to, even months afterwards. App is a great idea but useless if the logs don't get attended to.
I don't have problem with the app but it is useless when no one attend the issues.
It's a great idea. But nothing ever appears to get actioned, and the app has become unusable since I upgraded my phone to Android 6.0.
JRA doesnt fix any issues
This app only serves as a trophy to hold up in meetings and press conferences. The JRA could not be bothered with any issues logged. Either they are on strike or there is delay or they claim road issues are not theirs to solve. Johannesburg: a no class African cockup.
Please attend to the issues logged
Great app
Why register?
Jhb roads agency app is awesome. At last something in city of Joburg which works.
Had to change this app from 5 stars to 1 because potholes go unfixed for weeks
It can only take new photos not use existing ones. Logged an issue on Friday 9 January. I wonder how long it will take to fix? FWIW there is no way to report faulty street lights
Great app, just one minor issue. If you select a list of your logged issues the date is always displayed as today, even though the issues have been logged previously.

More than 2 months ago many users here have asked why their contacts etc need to to be accessed? Why has nobody dealt with this. It's an embarrassment to our City of Joburg that this question has not been answered and rectified
