Monster Job Search for Android
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THIS APP? It's not Tindr. I might want to go back to a job. I might not be ready to apply. This is garbage.
I still have yet to find a job that is relevant to my major. I do not want to be a Lyft driver, nor do I want to get involved with a pyramid scheme.
I complained that I was not seeing job ads in the app that were showing up on the website. Didn't get a response but did get spammed with messages inside the app. I am uninstalling.
Appliying for job searching email contacts and discussing job restrictions, the web is available on my cuurent application cell phone plan only and seems ideal
The new swipe feature is garbage. Just applied for three jobs that all I wanted to do was look at. Good by app.
Its best job finder app out here ppl actually call you for a interview
Location setting is awful brings up about two jobs for my area then runs out yet indeed has hundreds
Quick response and very friendly and helpful messages to better my chances at employment. I am waiting to see what comes through for me on the resetting of my location.
Job search absolutely does not work. Hey search for armed security positions brings up everything from software Engineers to sales representatives. It seems like pretty basic functionality to not include in the app.
Swipe searching in this app is idiotic. Should be added as an option at best.
App does not allow for browsing. When you swipe a description you automatically apply for a job and you cannot withdrawal your application
Out of all apps that are out there to help you look for a job, I feel this is by far the best app!
I want to see a list to look at not one at a time. Also, Lyft came up and each time I swipped it left it came back up covering one I wanted to see. Deleting app 10 minutes after installing.
Swiping left or right is unprofessional, this is not looking for a hook up. I want to research the job market.
Great app, you can even IM and get help or have your questions answered immediately.
Not able to enter exact location with city, state, AND zip code OR zip code alone for better search results. The search option is NOT detailed enough to create a work search, closely matching my professional experience/interest. Swiping left, should NOT bring up the same position again and again. An update demonstrating what's listed in the reviews are ideal. Otherwise, what's the point of the written reviews, if those reviews go unheard with no action to follow suit by Monster mobile app!
Installed 5 minutes ago and I'm already irritated. They try to make it like Tinder, like I am interested in looking for a job the way people look for dates. I just want to browse jobs... Why can't it be that simple? Instead I am forced to either apply immediately or dismiss a job never to see it again. I also accidentally applied for a job thousands of miles away. Not what I was looking or hoping for when I installed this app. Complete disappointment.
The app lists a job and when I'm all excited to start an application, it says the position is no longer available ???? like, real funny hmm? How about only listing jobs that are available? Even more comedy... inside the app there was an ad to install the Monster app. Added to that, Monster still allows employers to use vague terms like competitive salary or DOE depending on experience that leave the applicant in the dark about potential compensation. No good. A waste of time.
The bad review is for two reasons. One, I don't like swiping left, swiping right. I would much prefer a simple list. Sure, it looks great but my thumbs are now sore over looking through crappy job ads. Which brings me to my next complaint. I would say 75 percent of the job ads I saw were not what I would call a real job. If I swipe left on Avon 5 times, is it really necessary to show it to me again and again?
I used to love monster, with the change to left and right swipe, there is no longer a way to review and think about which positions you may want to look at. It's all about volume and superficial review. Too much like a shallow dating site. I'll be using a different job search engine.
Very responsive back if u need help there is always someone to help u out so u gotta step out of ur comfort zone and try new things and places and people cause life is to short and i take everything day by day and pray and stay positive...god bless u all and wish me good luck
The swiping function to delete jobs is not working correctly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't delete the job, and one time it applied for a job I'm not qualified for!
This is by far the easiest job search app I've used. You just click on a job and most of them you can apply automatically with the resume you have posted on their website. It's really annoying to have to fill out a whole application and repeat all the stuff that's on your resume.
Too many unassociated positions to swipe through. Convoluted and unhelpful. Ziprecuiter and indeed are by far the easiest to navigate what you are really looking for.
Can't write job ur looking for and have it pop up. Only what they throw at you
Garbage. I'm not looking for a date, put some thought into your development instead of ripping off tinder.
I do not like the layout is swiping left or right. I also find that the search results are not very accurate.
Horrifyingly difficult to navigate! Can't even specify job title. I'm educated and have used electronics and computers for years and this is garbage! Way to go
Monster made a great app. Not only is this app easy to use but their customer service is bar none. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
This new "swipe" system is terrible. Too slow and shows too little information, all for a stock photo appearance. Not very good. Also the search function may as well be eliminated as no matter what you put in there, you are not going to get what you searched for. A complete rework is needed.
Terrible wouldn't let me set up an account. Kept saying "wrong user name or password", but it couldnt be wrong because I was signing up.
Really don't know why it's set up like Tinder. Much prefer a list view of searches.
I dont like that you cant look at a list instead of swiping. The swiping aspect is terrible.
I've just started and find the job listings to be most inspiring and quite intriguing. Can't wait for the new chapter of my life. I've heard so many great things about this site now I'll have a job I truly enjoy with my training.
The worst of the bunch; I put max distance 80km and I get jobs all over the country; I search for "plumber" and I get "Tele Sales"?! I search for "Gas Engineer" and I get EVERY single job with the word "engineer" in it. Waste of time, extremely frustrating. Oh yes and jobs posted "2 days ago" that expired "March 17"!
Overwrite Can't undo what I've passed up to check out again. Frustrating and I'll be lucky to find a job this way. Otherwise it's just alright.
A great company with a very user -friendly app. I was having an issue getting my resume to upload for a position and Shane resolved the problem in record speed.
Useless. Mechanical engineering is not IT, software, sales, marketing, maintenance or any other such rubbish. I want to search for jobs relevant to me.
I don't like this new set up of swiping to apply. Job descriptions are vague so I feel like I'm handing my information out to just anyone

This has to be the worst version of Monster yet. I will gladly stick to use the more detailed mobile site instead of this app.
