Touchless Chat

Good app, but got an app-breaking bug. Basically I got to the screen where I need to choose using Google Voice or not. I can't press next if I don't choose Google Voice, but I'm outside US/Canada. Also, when I press next after selecting "use google voice" the app will crash and I have to redo the tutorial again (still same error). Can't even enter the main app. The voice command "send whatsapp ..." is somehow working, but I keep randomly getting the sample popup on setup/tutorial that I have to swipe. If the issue is fixed, it will be an easy 5/5

So, the app as a concept is great. I can't speak much for any features but Tasker integration, and it works wonderfully with WhatsApp. However, in Android oreo, this app is obliterating my battery. It accounts for over 30% of my total usage, even though it literally runs through Tasker only once a day in the morning to send 2 messages. I'm not sure what's going, and I hope this gets fixed soon so I can change my review.

Giving a poor review because you say you can't uninstall the app is in very poor taste as it CLEARLY states that you have to disable Administrative permissions prior to uninstalling. Also using Tasker plug ins requires a bit of experience and trial and error. There is a lot of good info out there just Google how to use Tasker and stop blaming the dev for your lack of knowledge.

Cons: Randomly doesn't work. Log doesn't always show why a message was ignored. Very heavy when it does work, tends to bring a busy phone to a crawl. Poor documentation. Inconsistent design. The insistence on aligning app messages with phone contacts is unintuitive and time consuming. Smart repliers glitchy, trying to make one based on WiFi gives me "WiFi error: Can't find wifi networks" so they're rather useless. Tapping the help button brings up a Dropbox file not found page. Pros: usually gets the job done, and with more options than the others out there. Has a lot of potential.

For God's sake, do you idiots realize that you have to disable ADMIN Privileges BEFORE UNINSTALLING... and this is due to ANDROID SECURITY NOT THE DEVELOPER. Holy crap! If you don't understand what that is, you should run away from any app that requires an IQ higher than 3!

This is a great app! But there is one thing I'd like to have added. I would like to be able to send a message containing what is in the clipboard. This would make it much more customizable using together with tasker. Thanks for an otherwise great app!

Gosto muito dos seus apps, João, mas este infelizmente não funciona muito bem. Além de merecer uma boa repaginada gráfica pra ficar mais de acordo com os outros da série auto. O design dele me parece um pouco amador.

1. After purchased tasker plugin still shows ads. 2. whatsapp - only the first message reacheble in tasker plugin, cant use to read messages, because always read the same message fix it, and it will be 5 star

Didn't even want the voice functions, but I installed this app as an easier way to automate sending a Hangouts message with Tasker...except it doesn't work for that either

Doesn't seem to work with Facebook Messenger after the new update to its interface.

This has got to be one of the worst implemented apps I have ever used. It asks me if I want to read a message, I say yes, then it dings like I didn't say anything, and then does nothing. I remember 5 years ago when Microsoft figured out the best implementation of touchless messaging. I don't understand why Google hasn't done something like this and apps like this are no help in that regard.

Touchless Chat is great. I love sending messages without even having to touch my device. Really neat. Thanks to the Dev for the hard work involved. People, please read instructions to uninstall app if needed. It's really easy and simple, so please give Dev proper rating. This is an awesome app once you start using it!

Work beautifully with tasker

yes it does work now i noticed last night! thank you very much sir! its a great app! The app does as it says, using voice commands and text to speech your messages are read to you and wait for a reply to almost any messaging app. you have the option of it reading automatically or choosing to listen, as well as having it read back your reply! a MUST HAVE for people who struggle with texting and driving!

This app is awesome, the only thing I'm trying to figure out now is how to link up a variable to send message text. Thanks for the great app, Dev! Edit: Found out its an issue in AutoPebble, not Touchless chat, I'll send a note on that one.

I purchased the ad free version of the app.. In Tasker I'm not able to change settings of auto reply.. It keeps crashing.. Pls fix this.. Using Android 7 on nexus 6p.

Great developer but app not working on my device, with Marshmallow, I found another comment similar no response. Contacted the developer responded I responded with a log with error and still no response will update review if I get some feedback

You will not be able to remove or disable the app once you download it.. Seems very fishy.. Be careful guys..

While I use this app and it works alright, there are still Ads in the paid version. This is on a fresh reset device after I installed it and got the " you are now running an unlocked version of touchless chat' popup. if you go to use the plugin in tasker , specifically Send Message, there is still an AD on top.

Need a way to turn it off in a pinch, I have been embarrassed several times, dont need it on at all times, not user friendly, no support

Please fix. Device HTC One m8 GPE stock. Fails to read or respond texts but does announce them still.

Create a tasker to auto save whatsapp message to google calendar but when message received, this app still popup and asking permission to read it and then tasker save to google calendar. How to disable this while tasker profile is enable?

I use it with tasker and I just wish it had an option to add more than one set of text strings in the Message received section so that it becomes more awesome.
