╿AutoWear is a Tasker plugin for Android Wear. You need to have Tasker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm) installed to use many of its features, so please be aware of that before using it.
You also need an Android Wear device. It won't work on other types of smart watches
╽You can get a free trial of Tasker here: http://tasker.dinglisch.net/download.html

Used to be pretty robust but now it won't launch the voice screen 9 out of 10 whichever method I use. I get a pretty useless toast message saying the screen has launched and it never appears! May have to root and go back to my old method.

I've bought several of the author's Tasker plugins, and unfortunately they are all very rough, buggy, unpolished and generally difficult to use. This one in particular seems more like a "private alpha" than an app you would actually charge money for. The UI is very technical and essentially unusable without constantly referring to the "manual". For example: When creating a new notification, there is an input box labelled "Command". What do you think that covers? Is it a command that is sent to the watch? No. It is in fact used to specify a trigger event, i.e when this happens on your watch, the AutoWear action that you are currently configuring will be executed – independent of Tasker. In other words, "Command" can be "the screen turns on". In Tasker, this would be a "(trigger) Event" or profile "condition".

But there are so many ins-outs, obscure parameters, and weird "bugs-but-not", firmware differences, and a few bugs, at the moment I'm struggling too much with it to make it worth the effort. The environment (Android Wear and its hard & firmware) is way behind where this app is. I'm tired of Youtube documentation, though. I personally really need it all in organized print. Tasker's sending the vars, but the watch isn't consistently reacting. It's crazy making, for everyone.

M70%
by M####:

No consistently. When I shake to wake the phone sees the log but the watch is not listening. When it dose work it's ace, just need it to work every time.

M70%
by M####:

It's OK producing loads of apps, like this guy does, but it's annoying, when they can't be bothered, to write a tutorial on all the different action, and how to use them. So looks like I will have to buy a crystal ball, because there's nothing anywhere.

by M####:

The shake guesture hardly works and whenever I try to shake the watch while setting up the shake gesture, the app ends up getting closed. Also, the app seems to kill the battery on it extremely quick.. Had a 16% Idle and Screen usage since installing it yesterday (in about 5 hours it went from full charge to 10% with Ambient mode on while its normally 10 - 12 hours before it gets to 10% with Ambient mode on)

M70%
by M####:

Small issue setting up shake on a smartwatch 3, but started working ok after a few resets ☺️

The fact this can be used alone or with tasker is a win in itself, but with tasker and the functionality on the watch just became endless. It's not for the non techie minded however, but, if you have the time and patience, it becomes a tool that leaves the watch naked without. Very few apps are an absolute must have for me and this is one of the absolute must haves. Setup properly and it works flawlessly. The developer also rocks.

M70%
by M####:

Can you add app drawer to system apps? =) (since wear 2.0 doesn't have swipe for app drawer I would like to create my own swipe action using your app)

M70%
by M####:

I don't want to load a 2nd app in order to purchase the first app. Really poor marketing and I'm not sure if that's reputable. Uninstalled.

E70%
by E####:

It's just a 7 day trial, you have to purchase the full app via in-app purchase.

Y70%
by Y####:

I can create custom screens that interact with tasker.

A70%

Doesn't work

E70%

I use this app to get my watches battery to send to zooper via tasker. It no longer works for me has the way of doing it changed?

D70%
by D####:

Toasts are much better after the update. Restored one star. I hope the ability to customize the today isn't permanently broken due to newer Android version.

D70%
by D####:

Endless possibilities for your Smartwatch! Must have!

O70%

Whoa, once you understand how this works, its awesome! (I'm still learning, its not for the faint of heart, hence one star off. Need to take time to learn it.)

R70%

Amazing app. Must have for wear users. Thanks

D70%
by D####:

Too much Bull

D70%
by D####:

Amazing app that adds a lot of functionality to wear and to die for as a heavy user of tasker. Unfortunately I can't get it to work correctly as my screens I create will randomly disappear.

D70%
by D####:

Absolutely remarkable, as are all joaomgcd auto apps. I used this and Tasker to work around a show stopper bug with OneNote on Android Wear. The problem was that when you open OneNote on the wear device you can't see any notes unless OneNote is open on the phone, which is ridiculous because if I have to take out my phone to open the app what's the point of having it on my wrist?. So I created an AutoWear task to launch OneNote on my watch, which in turn also triggers a Tasker action to launch OneNote on the phone. It works perfectly and allows me to access my notes on my Moto 360 without having to change my notes application because Microsoft can't seem to $#!t together. Thank you, joaomgcd!

This one app is more powerful and useful than every other app for Android Wear combined. Not even kidding. Hooking your watch into the power of Tasker makes it nearly as powerful as your phone, and being able to make layouts and screens that use HTML formatting trivially? Takes things to a whole new level. I've made so many things with this app, it's ridiculous. Main one was a cohesive control panel for Tasker, which was revolutionary for me. Seriously, wow. Bravo Joao.

D70%
by D####:

This app is awesome. There are so many cool things you can do with it. Still learning but it is great that the developer is very cool in helping out. THANK YOU!

D70%
by D####:

Shame only dark grey icons are available for notification actions, really clashes badly with Wear. Any chance of getting white icons? Also, I can't have the notification show automatically using Tasker, or can I?

D70%
by D####:

Had to Uninstall. Watch battery was good for over 24hours then dropped to a mere 8 hours. This makes my watch useless and in turn rendering this app useless as well. #TAGCONNECTED

D70%
by D####:

Not only did the video make me install the app but it made me go out and buy Android wear

Z70%
by Z####:

This kind of worked at first, but then it stopped working. Reset my watch, Uninstalled both Tasker and AutoWear, and reinstalled all the apps. Never could get past setting up the voice screen during the set up once it quit working. I just uninstalled Tasker and all of the Auto Apps. They are all just way too difficult to get set up, and then are very buggy even if you manage to get one working.

D70%
by D####:

Having to redo the setup every time I flash a new rom is really irritating. Also the note to self command here doesn't work with latest versions - I keep saying it but auto wear isn't recognizing the command. I'm stuck in the annoying setup and can't get past it.

D70%
by D####:

Provides the control of Wear I was looking for - great work! The purchasing process is a little confusing with having to install AutoApps, but well worth the effort.

D70%
by D####:

A few quirks, but I needed an auto-reply app to specific SMS messages. Did that much in tasker, but made me a version that let me respond from my watch.

D70%
by D####:

I can now do so much more with my watch!

D70%
by D####:

Can't even get the setup wizard to complete so can't do a thing with the app. But of course it takes longer than the 15 minute Google window to find this out so no refund possible.

D70%
by D####:

Would be awesome if you could add a flick keyboard screen like the one seen in Wear Messenger (or similar) so we could use that with WhatsTasker and other stuff to begin whatsapp conversations or write things into variables.

D70%
by D####:

First, you did an incredible job. Still, I wish I can change the font weight and size for confirm and dialog screen. Currently the font boldness seems to suit black background rather than the white one, which resembles current android wear design.

D70%
by D####:

I had high hopes for this app, and had started fiddling with it, but for some reason the app decided to show me a setup wizard that I am unable to complete or exit out of. It's stuck trying to setup shake support.

D70%
by D####:

Crazy difficult trial to use. Not sure if I want to purchase.

D70%
by D####:

I want to use this app, but it will not install without me accepting an install of Google play games? Why?

D70%
by D####:

Whenever my phone and watch disconnect/reconnect some tasks/profiles get triggered which should not be triggered. I use tasker with my home automation, I have a state profile which opens and closes my garage when either a button is pushed on the watch or when I speak open garage door. The profile is triggered whenever my watch is disconnected from my phone, which when I'm not home is a very serious problem. Please help, I'd really like to use this, I've tried emailing support, but email gets bounced.

D70%
by D####:

As usual, one more excellent AutoApp, you made it again Joao (você é foda!). I only noticed a potential bug, sometimes my lists won't appear, I've tried invoking AutoWear App in Tasker to launch the list screen, also tried starting lists right away in a Tasker task, it works 85% of the time, not sure why it won't appear sometimes. Using Nexus 5 Lollipop. Keep it up! Take care/Tudo de bom.

D70%
by D####:

Need to be a rocket scientist to even read the Instructions. Don't even understand what I am supposed to be achieving. Needs to be way better explained. Uninstalled. Update - developer quick to contact me but have decided that the issue is more my I ability to understand the app rather than a problem with the app itself. I am not the brightest and should not have taken it out on the developer.
