Jelly Bean Keyboard 4.3 Free for Android
Happy with the keyboard app in most things. It gives a lot of options on how to set the keyboard up. You can choose the color, sound and how loud, the size and type of font. However, the prediction is off. You have to just about spell the word out before it figures the word out. If you type the main word and select that and then backspace so you can add a d or s, it removes everything and you are forced to type the full word. Also missing my keyboard predicting the next 2 words.
I've been using JB keyboard since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, my very first Android smartphone. The stock version that came with the Galaxy Nexus was by far the only one I could ever use. FFW to the SIII and I found it on GooglePlay and have been using a version of it ever since. This version by this developer has finally outdid the one I'd been using. It seems fairly new and now that it even has a working emoji plugin I am sold!!! Forget Swiftkey, download this!
I've tried a number of keyboards This one reminds me of Smart keyboard Pro. In fact its very similar. However it takes the best features of Smart Keybord Pro. It uses the built-in user dictionary and many Smart Keyboard Pro features. If you are worried about blue light you can set the hints to another color.
I've used quite a few different keyboards, and this one is the most solid, most versatile, and easiest to type on I've seen. Without themes to update the look, it looks a bit dated, but I like how there are many options, even in the free version, the prediction and auto correct is intuitive and smart, and the layout works with my fingers well. Other keyboards have trouble predicting text. This one is great.
Now the curser jumps all cover the place when you hit the ?123 key it is a big waste of time. I really thought this was money well spent. it is just disappointing. As you notice I have no choice but to type the full phrase out without using abbreviations.
wanted another alternative to Google keyboard. this one is by far the best keyboard I have ever experienced. no lag when hitting keys, nor collecting as much user information than other keyboards. very impressed. 5stars and will recommend to others. Great work!
Thank you so much!!! I finally have a keyboard I love again! Way better and faster then even Google keyboard! And the customizations are just freaking amazing!!!!!!! The ONLY thing I didn't like is where the explanation point is and certain characters... Having an option to move those around would be nice??? You could put it in the pro edition... Thanks again!
This keyboard hasn't been updated in 3 years but still is better than any other I've found compatible with nexus 5x. Because nexus has low ram Swiftkey and others struggle
This will be a perfect 5 star if the double-space period option can be fixed. Right now on Galaxy Note 3 lollipop, although the option is checked, double tapping the space bar does not automatically insert a period.
It was my best keyboard, not anymore since I had upgraded to Android 4.1.2. Miss type a lot no matter how slow & aware & accurate you type. Android touch position sensing process is much interfered by this keyboard app. It's causing jitter even when you only scroll on menus or drag icons (with no keyboard on the screen). This phone is running well when switched back to the samsung stock keyboard.
Don't like it. I love T9 keyboards but this one has awful predictions. A habit of changing finished words to a humble of random letters. And random glitchy behavior. Needs alot of work. Back to QWERTY keyboard I go :(
Love this keyboard! I'd really like a setting to turn off the auto space that appears after selecting a suggested word. Also you spelled "Review" incorrectly on the Help tab.
I actually love this keyboard but it won't let you save cuss words. And the fact that those are the only words it won't save means it was done on purpose. That's very lame. Change it and I'll give you a 5. Update: there are actually lots of words it won't let me save. Irritating. Please fix
Nice to get back to the keyboard I had on KitKat 4.4.4. Lollipop Gboard is crap. Only downside with this is the blue highlighting when typing. Just distracting. Can't see any options to change the colours or highlighting
Just got a LG G4 & found I didn't like the stock kb. My Galaxy S4 kb was great for swiping plus other nice features. I got free trial of this jelly bean keyboard and bought the paid version for $3 w/in a few days. Swiping works great & paid vers has option to put number bar at the top of the kb which I use a lot. Also has long press for alt character feature. 2 things other kb's in play store were missing. Plus other cool features. Worth it! Great job guys!
I use this on my phone and it has saved me hours of madness with not having to hunt and peck my way through the keyboard, and having a voice option that actually works (what happened to google's keyboard?) Is awesome. Installing this on my tablet, and as soon as I get done moving, will be buying the pro version. :-)

Does not come with emoji included. Pretty darn sure that with jb 4.3 it's standard and they should be included in the app's files. I could deal with that, but when typing, if I backspace an emoji the icon jumps around and any further characters seem to be invisible. I was forced to quit whatever app I was using and restart, hoping I didn't need to delete anything again :(
Deinstalling because i'm looking for a kbd that keeps the Enter key visible all the time. Nothing in settings that I can see. I'm an adult and like the "old" paragraph construct. A dot com key would be great, but I guess that's completely out of the question.
Unlike the act actual stock keyboard, Google Keyboard does not hide it. Users are free to switch back and forth. It works much like the Android 4.1.1 keyboard. Word prediction is similar. Works for all users on Kitkat and Lollipop. For the user who wanted Emoji: Switch to Google Keyboard for emoji. Come back to this keyboard when serious typing is to be done.
Never ever will I mean ducking. I type swears a lot. Maybe in a new update make it so it can read how much you type a certain word. Same with my corrects to NY when I mistype it. I never talk about NY. Double space to dot works just fine though.
I like the keyboard as it's got a functional T9 option but it just needs some minor tweaks to make it perfect. AND IT HAS TO HAVE A DEDICATED COMMA BUTTON. Mine has 2 full stops but no commas. Please rectify this. Thanks.
Ever since the lollipop update the messaging screen looks like crap. Thanks for the jelly bean keyboard. If only we could get rid of the piece of crap orange outline. Lollipop sucks
I've tried a handful of keyboards on Android and I've finally settled for this one. The best part about this is that it has simple design -with the letters spaced out well. And the more important thing is that the spacebar is slightly above the home button and it is a God send! The other ones I've tried have the spacebar too close to the home button which meant that I kept hitting the home button unintentionally ever so often which was extremely frustrating. Not with this one!
When I type in my text messages it can't keep up with my typing. Its only happening in my messages app but, its really frustrating. Other than that its great, but I hope it can be fixed!
This keyboard adds letters without me typing them, and half the time the spell check doesn't catch even the simplest of words. Like whar vs. what. Or just interrupts the word you are typing with a space or period, then adds random letters afterwards. Going back to 4.2. I don't need emoji that badly.
This is the best keyboard I've found so far. My only issue is voice recognition. But I'm not sure, does voice recognition come from the phone, or the keyboard app? By far the worst voice recognition I've had, going back to since VR was created. Using an S3, it will misspell words in ways I've never seen
I actually love this keyboard but it won't let you save cuss words. And the fact that those are the only words it won't save means it was done on purpose. That's very lame. Change it and I'll give you a 5.
Has all the buttons I need on the 3x4. Not quite as seamless as the HTC I used to have but still the best I've found. Main grumble is that the 3x4 doesn't work across all apps including stock Samsung S6 internet. Emoji plug in doesn't work on Samsung S6
Love this keyboard :) It does everything I want it to do. The suggestions aren't always accurate but they are much better than my other keyboard so well done. EDIT: It could be better if I could access my clipboard.
I was used to the Jellybean stock keyboard. Then Google overwrote it with a keyboard that was bugged in my favorite text editor. The keyboard brings back an enhanced version of the stock keyboard that peacefully coexists with Goggle keyboard. Everything works agsin
This is the best layout Google ever came up with, but the autocorrect is outdated. The current Google autocorrect works much better than this version. Is there any chance the autocorrect in this keyboard will get an update?
Read so many good reviews n chose to download this. Yet.....Do have basic language like Chinese? So disappointing. Am deleting it.
Awesome amazing app I got a new a phone and hated the keyboard BC my old phone was jellybean... Now I can use my old keyboard and know how to use it without a problem I recommend it to every one its amazing
One of my biggest complaints against Google keyboard is that it doesn't always provide word suggestions in some apps especially when searching on Google. This one however provides word options and suggestions in every app that I use.
Lately, it is laggy in popping up to use. It now crashes a lot. Was the best. I'm still using it...for now.
This is an excellent keyboard. Very configurable and feature rich. Quite accessible with TalkBack, Google's built-in screen reader for blind users. Most keyboards on on Google Play are horrible in terms of accessible standards, but this one is an absolute winner on that aspect. And unlike many other options including the otherwise accessible Google Keyboard, this one performs pretty fast even on Android Jellybean as 4.2 as well. Couple of suggestions. At the moment, I am not able to access the emoji layout despite installing the plugin. Perhaps there can be an option to have a toggle switch to the right of spacebar tu turn on and off the emoji layout. Will be very helpful for TalkBack users in particular. 2nd, it will be great if a tap to type option is added as an addition for users who want it instead of the default lift to type in Android. If there are these additional features, even going pro will be totally worth it. Rating it only 4 for now, as I think the emoji situation has to be resolved to the satisfaction of the TalkBack user like me too.
This is an excellent keyboard. I use it on my nexus 7 tablet - it's great. Love the double use of the keys, very clever. Every time someone moans about the Google keyboard I recommend this keyboard - no one has changed back.

I love T9 texting. It's what I grew up with, and the keyboard I prefer on a phone. When I had my Samsung note I used the Go Keyboard. I loved it and it worked great. When I recently got my LG V20, the Go Keyboard wouldn't do the 3x3 T9 texting. I emailed them and they never responded. I tried several different keyboards until g found this one, and I am so happy g did. It allows me to use the texting I know and love. I only wish there was a way on the keyboard to switch to the standard keyboard. But overall super happy with this app, and I hope it doesn't change!
