Folder Downloader for Dropbox for Android
Folder Downloader for Dropbox lets you download entire folders from your Dropbox account to your Android device.
Note: since Android 4.4 KitKat, you can download files only to internal storage. External SD cards are not supported.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Browse through your Dropbox folders
2. Long-press on the folder you want to download, select "Download folder to..." - or use the "Download all to..." button
3. Browse your Android's device local storage, and tap on the "Select" button to start the download
FEATURES
• Ability to create new folders on the local storage on the fly, so you don't need to use a separate file manager
• Supports both internal and SD card storage (defaults to device-defined external storage, navigate up to find other storage options)
• Downloads performed in background via an Android Service, so you don't have to keep the app running
• Ability to retry failed downloads from the report screen
• Support for MediaScanner, allowing other apps to immediately recognize downloaded files
• Authentication performed via OAuth and Dropbox's official API, so the app CANNOT read your Dropbox password
• No ads
NOTES
• Only one download job is performed at a time, subsequent jobs are queued and executed as soon as the previous are completed
• You'll need a Dropbox account to use this app, but the Dropbox app is optional
PROs: Good idea. Downloads entire folder which Dropbox can't. CONs: for some reason pics become unreadable when I try to upload onto Facebook, even though they are jpeg format. I can see the image but Facebook can't see it for uploading so I end up "exporting" each pic individually
Slows down my phone so much that it starts to crash, great application though, it does what i need it to
I downloaded a folder of 300 music files that even Dropbox wouldn't download for me cos it said was too large
But I really wish this didn't require a whole new app. Dropbox should have it built in. I probably won't be using Dropbox anymore now. Google Drive allows this function easily. This app saved me a lot of work and time.
I had quite a few gifs that I downloaded from drop box that were playing on there but when I went too download them to my gallery they won't play anymore. But overall it does what I need it to.
Works great for downloading folders to internal storage. I can then move them to external SD with another app if desired. As the notes state, external SD support was broken by KitKat restrictions. It's a pity that further development of the app was stopped before SD access was re-permitted under Lollipop, as there seems to be no way to grant the necessary per-app permission.
Waste of time, can't handle large amount of files, crashes AND Norton mobile labels this app as HIGH RISK
Thank you³ for this! For some reason the Dropbox app doesn't have an option for batch export. You have to select and export each file individually. Which is ridiculous! This awesome little app allows you to select and download an entire folder. It has one job and it does it well!
It works. It really do. Sooooo happy !
Could be easier to use but Thank-you thank you thank you!!!
Did everything it had to do but kind of slow and not because of the internet connection. Good app I recommend it.
Doesnt download, just crashes tablet
didn't have any problem :)
i enjoy the original way i received my photos from my gallery
So glad this app exists, thank you!
Downloading photos from old phone to new one and they appear as blank in my photos
HTC ONE MAX [GSM]
So far it's a complete success!
Figured I'd give this a try, exporting one at a time sucks monkey balls... Also figured I'd give downloading to external SD a try, worked first time... Oh wait, it's probably because I'm using Cyan 12.1... It's also quicker than the Dbox app at downloading...
Not sure what's happened but the update has made this app worthless. It takes 2 hours to download 200 small files and then said 107 failed. Please fix as used to be so good
Just a heads up for anybody wanting to dl directly to their SD Card, Android has locked that ability to many Third Party apps. As of now, there is no way to do it without Rooting. What a step backwards.
But only 4 stars as it's not downloading folders to SD Card.
Could've been perfect if I could download straight to the SD card
Downloads perfectly I don't understand how people can be negative. Superb app and free
This solves a common problem. Its super easy to use and simple. Works as intended. Great job!
Many thanks. Dropbox should be doing this themselves
The app is working jst f9 so far...
Can't believe the native Dropbox app doesn't offer this! Until it does, your app is doing a good thing. Thanks much
Cumple, suple esa falencia de Dropbox, esta función d e vería estar integrada a esa apk
Does actually what it says
For me this app, is useless, it may work for few files, but I needcit to work with folders with a lot of music
It does one thing, and does it well. It's free and, without any ads. Couldn't ask for more!
Just what I was looking for
Worked really well on my rooted Galaxy Tab 4, but unfortunately on my rooted HTC desire 510 all I get is the download failed error message.
Keeps failing to download files.
Solved a frustrating problem. Bravo!
Worked great for me. Did exactly as it was supposed to. Downloaded Dropbox folder to my phone.
Extremely useful app!
Needed this
