On a Samsung Galaxy S6= 1) The "SEARCH WIFI DIRECTORY" doesn't work. No matter what zip code or city I input, it says "none found". 2) The "WIFI SCANNER" places all of the hotspots in range piled on top of eachother in the upper left-hand corner of the page (nothing displays on the actual radar itself).

X70%
by X####:

While I have yet to submit sites to add to the data base (which I soon will) I'm holding back one star until there is a way to report errors in locations, names, and other details. Our local data is more than 2/3 wrong. That stated, the basic design is good and the service is potentially very useful.

X70%
by X####:

It needs to be able to control the update intervals. And if it could use gps to cross reference the wifi signals so we can have a good idea where the signals are located that would be great. Right now all it does is recognize signal strength and places them in the center. Theres no directional to the wifi

X70%
by X####:

This app once worked great, now it only shows my location as being 30 miles from where I'm at. All of my other installed apps pick up my current location fine. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it still does not work right. Galaxy Note 2. I'm giving it One Star.

M70%
by M####:

Looks like it gives me a wide selection of free wi-fi hotspots near my home. Going to go out today and check out a few. Starbucks, McDonald's, FedEx... However: 1. How do you update the database? 2. How often is the database updated? 3. How do I know where the database data is (in-phone, on SD card) 4. Ensure there is an option to load database data to the SD card. 5. Ensure that there is an option to completely STOP the app when you close it. (I dislike apps that hog my in-phone memory and in-phone storage). Ah, the database data IS stored on the SD card >> rating now goes up to 5.

N70%
by N####:

Sorting the signals by password required and signal strength would make entirely too much sense for these duds. The radar is cool but what is with laying the names all on top of each other. By themselves the names mean little unless it is a company name. The app obviously know which WI-FI source requires a password but these bar monkies overlook filtering out those that require a password. They pretend they all require a password and title them all with "password is required."

X70%
by X####:

Requests to remove non-existant hotspots from closed businesses are repeatedly ignored. Adding new ones are no better. If they don't care about this part of their business, they should sell it!

D70%
by D####:

I an restricted in storage space and feared I would never find a App that used a micro SD card. This App does it all, I am able to find hot spots with ease and make a reasoned choice.

X70%
by X####:

Worked great in the past, but a bug now renders it inoperable. A black popup comes up but doesn't fully load then it switches to the home screen. Then switches back and forth between the two... Unable to use app.

N70%
by N####:

I am not sure what the problem is, but this app searches and searches for a signal, while I am able to get something set up in 3 steps through my phone before this even located a signal. Sorry, I'm breaking up and ending our relationship.

H70%
by H####:

I reduced my rating by one star because it's been a year and the hot spots I submitted are STILL not listed. No updates in almost one year. I'm done with this app. Submitted several hot spots more than once, never showed up. Waited more than a year. Junk.

X70%
by X####:

Way too many inaccurate listing. Like it will say free wifi but it's only free to students of that university and you need to be a student to use it. This doesn't count

X70%
by X####:

No way am I letting an app make a call. That is the best way to get your number on sales/scammer's calling lists. May not be the case with this app but it's a trust issue.

X70%
by X####:

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I'm going to ask this question anyway. Don't our phones (and other devices) already do this if we have the function enabled? Why is this app useful? Or should I ask, how would this app be useful if it actually worked?

G70%
by G####:

DEG 2014: Recent update forces a loop, crash, loop, crash on Samsung Note II. GENERAL: The map identifies lots of wifi places but many of them are closed or dont exist. I do not see a function to let the program know that the location is closed or non-existent. Also, it does not interface with my GPS -> The "get directions" feature says "cannot connect". So I use Google maps & enter the address manually. Suggestion... Doesn't anybody want to create an app to compete with this??? I would pay for it!

X70%
by X####:

How come other apps are able to auto-turn on GPS or tower locators..yet yu force us to leave your app to do that task manually? Very inconvenient. .

X70%
by X####:

The hot spot locator works no better than the android locator. The map that shows hot spots by region works but it does not show all of them. If a laundry or a church has a hot spot, it is not always listed. For that reason I am going to give it 3 stars

A70%
by A####:

It a joy to use the app - no hassle just what you want. The only problem for my is that Im on a worldtrip and so would need WIFI outside of Europe or US - and here is the problem, it does not help a lot if it only shows you the paid Wifis from expensive hotels (hint: they always have wifi)

X70%
by X####:

I gave it 4 stars though because the navigation is off and you cant move around a city to see other wi-fi hotspots. But, that coukd be my own cellphones bad navigation. Definitely download!

X70%
by X####:

Database hard to access, all countries beginning with "A" are missing. Austria, Australia not there, but Oman is!! Will uninstall. Avast seems much more useful.

J70%

I was looking for a (South)-European Wifi-Map, but this app unfortunately doesn't seem to have much data on my region. Almost none in Croatia, and not much in Vienna either. The interface seems nice at first.. but when moveing over the oceans i somehow always accidentially zoom in; but withouth an zoom-out-button one has to do a lot of finger-twitching... Also.. I regret of not haveing the option of viewing/editing the map on the programmer's website; but rather gives you no information at all. Summary: Nice-looking Interface, but it misses out on too much for my taste

X70%
by X####:

So far I cannot get this app to do anything that my phone doesn't do out of the box. I just seems to show me what my WiFi can connect to and which signals are strongest. The little radar thing is cute but it makes seeing the actual WiFi names hard since they are often on top of each other. I don't get it. At least it was free.

G70%

I'm getting a black screen that's popping up over and over again using this app. Wad working fine, now getting that. Very sad :(

X70%

The app auto connects even when it's set not to on my galaxy s2. Otherwise this app would get 5 stars.

B70%

An app which I'd recommend to ANYBODY who values free access to various wireless Networks. There are a few improvements which could make it a superior app , such as password disclosure of the hottest and most secure Wi Fi signals in respect to the location of each app user. Although I trust in provements will be made, so I give this app☆☆☆☆☆ until it proves me wrong

J70%

keeps saying location services is shut off when it is on and won't let you do anything. Uninstall.

It's an alright app for android it does let you know where there is wi fi but it does let u use any free wi fi unless you're really close it could use some more help with its design with its updates

Its no good as far as i can see as it keeps stopping on me everytime i try to open it so to me its only wotht a star

I've found this app, (recommended by a friend) invaluable in finding those hidden WiFi hotspots. Very handy and I highly recommend it.

Cant map anything without the map. Needs internet to create spots, but i need to be able to map without the internet. Absurd, this and similar apps are just the same. Why no one using openstreemaps ?

Search function either doesn't work or is too hard to figure out. No matter what I enter, it comes back with "No recent searches".

Much outdated info (last update 2/2013, website gone). Good interface. Works well on older Samsung Rugby phone and newer tablet. Wifi Mapper (opensignal) - the gold standard - infinitely better and up to date.

Android 6.0 samsung s7 doesnt show wifi in circle anymore, All wifi networks are packed in the corner. Like to know where signals are coming from.

Who create this app must to buried himself not only 6' under the ground but 100'. I tried to be patient and wait 30' to get a result, at the end I got nothing. Really it's a waste of time. Please, put this app in garbage.

Map is so messed up. Mcdonalds on Ala moana Blvd is not on Ala moana blvd. It is couple miles off like all other locations. Lol

Launching the app causes my phone to flash to a black screen over and over again. Absolutely useless. UPDATE It has something to do with ad that runs along the bottom of the app. When the ad is there, the app works. When not, it has issues. It also sys /n/t/n/t along where the ad should be.

Showed me a cafe that's been closed almost two years! Luckily I knew that and didn't waste time going there. Call ahead to be sure the places on the map actually exist.
