Looks powerful, has potential but no info on how to theme or to set up, no user forums or much help on website. i have WIFI set up to show settings page, it toggles and opens settings page BELOW the notification (which you will see after you close Android's notifications). Is this a limitation, feature or option? Hopefully the author will respond with an answer.
This app is sooo useful and has so many different features and is really customisable. Only 4 stars cause the notification (battery icon) is hard to read for me and there aren't any other good options. Pls add more customisation there. Like colour or style or another option.
Great stuff here lots of customization options. The only thing I do not like is the toggles for data and wifi take you to the manager for said communication. Would be better if they would just turn on and off. If there was an option for that it would easily be a 5 star and would take care of all my widget needs.
I can't say enough about this app and it's versatility. I have searched for other widget apps for years and still haven't found one that does everything this one does. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated for years now and there are many tweaks I've come up with over the years to keep this app fully functional and it is still worth it.
I have been using this since I got my Samsung S3 years ago, with no problems. Recently I switched over to Samsung S5 and discovered "keep screen on" and "keep screen on when plugged in" toggles no longer work. It might be because this isn't optimised for Android 4.4 yet?
Work very well on my LG G2. Have completely customised my home screen and it looks awesome. Have got 7 apps side by side on one horizontal line which I've been looking to do for ages. All apps are very responsive and I haven't noticed any significant battery drain.
several toggles no longer work since the Android 4.3 update. I use airplane mode and hotspot toggles frequently but now neither function properly. Please update Widgetsoid for Android 4.3 compatibility. UPDATE 2-18-14 - wifi hotspot toggle now seems to work but the airplane mode toggle is still nonfunctional on my GN2.
Would be nice if we can change the battery icon color in the notification bar since kit Kat is now white. And whenever I use BBM, the notification pops up above the toggle widgets instead of remaining the first.
I got this specifically to add a mobile data toggle, which Samsung neglected to add, for some reason. I was surprised that I managed to find more things to add to fill up the rest of the bar (I added Always on, Flashlight, Clear cache, and CPU and RAM monitors). So handy and unobtrusive; works great! Thank you, dev!!
Is everything OK Jimmy?? I wrote to "Jimmy" about a bug changing the settings in the Swype toggle grid, but no reply. (5weeks ago, with a attached screen capture) Oh, well. Then I started noticing other serious bugs, crippling the app, but since he hasn't worked on this since August, or replied to others reviews. . . Maybe a stack of bad reviews will get some Attn.? Hello? Jimmy. . .?
This app works great for adding in those last couple of widgets that you really need and can't find. Customizations can be a little trial and error with the ui but once you get it set up its a cinch.
I am giving a 3 even if its the best widget app because on my Shield tablet: 1. High battery consumption. Why? No clue. 2. Often crashes for not supported features. There is nothing wrong about not supporting everything in all devices but it should not crash. 3. My widget just disappeared from the home. I can see it in widgetsoid but there is no way to put it again unless I put another and load my configuration. Keep the good work but I might wait till then to buy the donate version.
After updating firmware on my Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3 Widgetsoid stopped working. Zero response and freezing. Please fix and i'll give 5 stars, coz i use it every minute!
I've used the app for years and it's great. Now it tells me "this app must be installed as a system app." However, all of the normal methods of making it a system app cause Lollipop to crash. Furthermore, no earlier methods required this (or the app did it automatically). Why all of a sudden? Please fix it!
Samsung GS4 stock. Contact toggles, on this phone used to launch the contact, but I had to dismiss the notification shade to see them. That was ok. But now, it dismisses the shade by itself, but when I click the phone number to dial, it just goes away without dialing or even bringing up the contact. I love this tool. Please fix this problem and I will raise the rating to 5
Note: The mobile-data toggle function can be a bit finicky. If it complains and then opens a settings screen on you, just exit it, then: (1) Go to the *actual* mobile-data settings screen; (2) Toggle you mobile-data on, then off. The Widgetsoid mobile-data-toggle feature should then work.
I JUST updated the app and suddenly its removed from my notification shade. Everytime I press the app, it just crashes before I even get to the menu. (i tried over 15 times) I NEVER had a problem with this app. This app was perfect before the update. please fix it! 4.2.q galaxy nexus
Most customizable toggle widget out there and best of all it free!! You really cant beat that. Im starting to look at this free think as a trail thing cuz im about to donate to his cause
I recently have switched to Lollipop 5.1(piece of crap) and the data toggle doesn't work anymore ,even if I turned into a system app as requested from the message popping up as soon as we press the related icon. Still getting the message, but no toggle. Can you help?
Toggles do not update properly to match status: however can't find another app that will either (galaxy s4 rooted mk2). Vertical widget option is unique.
E.g. 24 hour clock is displayed as if it was 12 hour clock, without leading 0. I.e. 07:50 is displayed as 7:50. Can't find setting to correct this.
Love love LOVE this app. I have been using the free version for about 6 months or so, and I know that I'm not even using it to it's full potential, but I bought it anyway so that I can support the developer. I will have to watch the video to see what else I can do to personalize it even more, but I love the fact that I can have what I want, where I want it and no bloatware goes along with it. Absolutely awesome app. Buy it!
I have nothing but good words for this app! It's light on resources but fully customizable. Best of all, it's free! I love it & I've switched to it completely. I fully endorse it. Edit: crashes lately.
I really like the app. I started with the notification bar and now I can't stop myself. I may be running my phone entirely through the shortcuts in this app soon. My only request would be to be able to resize the widgets to only 1 unit. The smallest it can get is 2x2. A 5x1 bar both horizontally and vertically would be amazing.
It's mind boggling how many widgets and toggles this app has. 5 stars
I got this app because it had a keep divice active when plugged in setting. But I can't toggle it on it just stays dim when I hit it. It does have a always on function that works. Just didn't want to have to set it on and off my self.
Great app with decent variety of options. Would've rated 5 if it was able to save its current window state (going back and forth between the app and the homescreen to test changes is a pain when the app keeps resetting to frontpage) and if the themes were a bit more flexible (removing button indicator ruins text placement; changing alpha conflicts with its background; can't change spacing between buttons; the color filter's useless without color picker and blending options; etc).
When I upgraded to kit Kat, android got rid of the data toggle button in the quick access section. I liked this button so I installed widgetsoid so I could still toggle my data. It worked perfectly and I loved it. However, I upgraded to lollipop and now it says it needs to be a system app or something like that. Anyways, the app no longer turns my data on and off and serves no purpose for me.
all of the buttons/ indicators i need in one place! however, the enable/disable data switch doesn't work. it says "Widgetsoid needs to be installed as a system app for this feature to work" This is one of the most frequently used buttons that I need. How can I install widgetsoid as a system app?
Needs to be system app to work. I've been a long time user of widgetsoid, love it to bits, but this new issue is very upsetting. Hope you can fix this soon.
When I tap on the data toggle it says "app needs to be installed as a system app" or something like that. Please fix and I'll gladly give 5 stars (:
One of my favorite apps along as I've been using Android. I love the notification menu toggles - so useful & 100% custom.
It is by far the best toggle app available, but STILL a bit flaky on Android 4.3 (it recently just froze & stopped responding), even after the recent updates. I believe it still needs a bit more development for the latest OS.
This app may be great, but upon installation, not first run, it puts a battery notification icon in the notification panel and yet another quick-launch set of widgets all without asking and without identifying itself. How many people have these unwanted icons without knowing what app even put them there? At first launch, the app does ask if this is OK, but users who install several apps at once will be flummoxed as to where the notifications came from. Bad, widgetsoid. Bad!
THE Widget!!! Highly configurable and a great tool for improving battery life! Kudos to the developer!
Great app i recently left Samsung and got my nexus 5 and I missed having the widgets on top now I can have them and it works the only thing I wish they added was the brightness slider other then that its awesome
Amazing!!! Only SMALL issue I have is after the recent OTA EVO update now when I click GPS it takes me to the settings any possible fixes?(10/27/2011) *UPDATE* Nearly 2 years later and I am STILL using this app! It's been on all my phone upgrades and will continue on. Excellent App!
Works very well on older Samsung Infuse but not on my new Galaxy S4. The "Keep awake while powered" (or somthing similar) feature does not work on my S4.
I can't stand having 2 battery notifications in my status bar I have uninstalled it. And don't plan on ever reinstalling the using it again because of this

5 stars because... I paid nothing and got a lot of stuff. Only complaint is flashlight stopped working on HTC One M7 some time ago. Tried all "methods" - goes on by shuts off after a few seconds. Other apps work fine. Kinda one of my most used widgets so this sucks...
