NoRoot Data Firewall

This amazing app was one of a couple that I used to keep my hacker friend out of my phone. He was in my phone, in real time, it was a trip. Anyway this was one of the ONLY effective firewalls the helped. I can't thank you enough for making such an amazing app. If anyone I know gets hacked, I'll be sure to have them download this app. I'd like to donate some money towards your hard work, if you could create a donate option in the menu that would be awesome. If not I'll make sure to buy it for everyone in my family plan :-)

Works great and I'd recommend it! I got it because my phone is hacked. It worked great with internet, at first. within a couple hours, i could no longer access internet through Sprint mobile or home wifi as long as the app firewall was active. Was a little skeptical about this app tbh. But I am now a believer and grateful fan! I now know exactly which apps to keep an eye on and I don't have to worry about them phoning home whenever they desire. This app stops everything from accessing mobile or wifi network and I decide what access they get.

After testing at least 5 different firewall apps for long time, I came up to the conclusion that this is a must have app. Thank you dev team for this excellent app which gives you full control of the data traffic (and perhaps spying apps...) . All the best, Jim

Not bad, but it misses usage comfort. Example: In case you want to block specific domains analyse an app and write everything down, then manually enter it in the blacklist. This becomes tiring quickly, especially for browsers. It also misses per-app blacklists. Other than that pretty solid work.

Play Store and Google Newsstand appls are being blocked even after giving them full permissions to connect to Internet. As soon as I disable the firewall, these apps will be able to connect without any problems. You have developed an excellent app and it has been working perfectly. Please fix this problem thank you

In this couple of days I have tried many of FW apps. Since when the FW module crashed. After going through such positive reviews, i thought of giving a try. Soon as I open the app, when I try to activate FW this is the toast message i get..... 'Please check "I trust this application" and tap OK'.... but where no idea. Devs any solution for this..

I really like the functionality. However if I disconnect from the VPN I cannot get it to reconnect. I've tested this both on an S5 and S8. Turning on the slider button does not activate the firewall. The only way I have found is to uninstall and reinstall. Even a reboot does not fix it. Am I missing something?

the perfect app i have been looking for forever. now i can keep tabs on who keeping tabs. if i had money right now you would most def get it. u have given me a lot of peace of mind right now. what ever i can do to help keep it updated i am glad to help

It's truly free, no ads whatsoever. It's very stable, light and feature rich, like address blocking, app list refresh, package capture, app list search... I had tried all other no-root firewalls, but they all failed in a way or another (pop-up ads were the worst, how to trust a firewall set to block ALL traffic, when it downloads ads...)

It really works for who wants to save your Data. Easy to use,but strong. And, another ways to use, can disable connection with Wi-Fi, so use it for some apps and eliminate the ADS(for banner and videos,really works) ...but this app always connecting to somewhere (as local server and other networks.what is this app doing?). And capture packets doesn't work,it will hang and crashes the app.

Would be great but the notification that VPN is on when tapped gives option to turn off firewall without entering password! This makes it easily defeated and absurdly you then have to enter password to turn it back on.

Superb and mind blowing app. It really blocks everything as it says. However, I'm having a problem only when I try to use Hotspot for sharing with other devices. I don't know which one is the setting to go for sharing data by Hotspot. Only after disabling this app, I can share data via Hotspot.

I use this right along with app lock to block certain inappropriate sites from children. With this app locked with a a password. The settings can't be tampered with. Works great for blocking background data. When some apps are constantly working. I select the I ones I want run on screen shots off in background. My battery doesn't drains faster that way. That feature is important to.

Thank you very much developer, I lobe you for such nice app. I was fed up with facebook though I don't want to show me online when I connect my device to wifi.

I think the update screwed it up. Instead of making it better, it made things bad. It doesn't block apps anymore even if the permission says so.

I'd throw up 5 stars and a donation if you add the option to ALLOW specific IPs regardless of App firewall settings and this app would be golden. Nice and clean app. Notifications are nice. Maybe a dark mode too???

This was a great firewall utility, did all it said, until the latest system "Security and Stability" updates were pushed to the device. These updates have partly crippled this and other firewall apps, so this app is not alone. It blocks some apps, but is unable to detect or block many others.

Solid functionality, great for managing data access and monitoring usage. I deducted one star because it seems like the data speed is greatly reduced on it. Internet using apps are not as responsive or fast when I have the firewall on, even if they are allowed unrestricted data.

I like this app. I tried others and they disappoint me in one way or the other. I like how this one is simple and blocks exactly what I wants and it doesn't blocks what I don't want to be, example my emails. I also likes the options of how I blocks an app. whether in the background or overall. Great app. Keep up the good work.

It does what it says but it has an abnormal drain. Please solve and you will get 5 stars. I also wonder why this firewall blocks the connection to the mobile data and wifi that I have to reboot the phone

I hope people take time to read the reviews before making a decision to download based on the numbers alone. The reviews show that many people who rated this low are unaware of this app's intended purpose and functionality. I'm still configuring my copy.. but so far, so good! If you happen to have bought a phone and the root is still being worked on, this IS the firewall you want, and it's free. I read the about section and it explains something about the wall being set with the VPN, which is apparently tech talk for yea, nothing coming in. This free app, even stops Google and forces a decision call. The OS itself, asks for permission. And it's free. You got say, a Z981 metrobloat float, and root still not made. Get this and stop the bloat absolutely. (Update) I love you super smarty VPN thingy that stops muh battery from being eaten alive by bloat zombies. Muah

I actually can't believe it. The app works perfectly, can't find any flaws. I was about to give up and root my phone, but you guys saved me the hassle

Its great. But after a while it locks up all traffic. Bummer! Fix that in an update, and I would certainly make a donation

It a perfect android data control app, and it's working 100% on all my Three devices. Only that i can't share hotspot when it's active if possible then i didn't​ find how to do that.

A Great Firewall that actually appears to work. You can set those pesky apps to whether or not have access to sending their "discreet" data back to wherever and to whomever. One word... BRILLIANT!!!

What happened? It was good but now not working without any notice! BUG? Works after a while then all internet is stopped, no connection but it is not noticed until we realised something wrong. So no email no message received during that time and we thought it was normal but not. Stop or restart this program then internet connection ok. Update: I like it in the past, but now as it repeats so many ALL internet blocking without notice I had to uninstall it and use another app then.

I worked for maybe an hour. Now, with permissions set to allow for any app, it won't allow access, I have to turn it off. I've tried refreshing, and resetting permissions. It's just not working. ??? Why, I don't know...

Need to manually allow permission in Marshmallow. Data usage for each app need to be fixed in Marshmallow. Couldn't analyze the accessed websites for each app in Marshmallow, always empty.

Small and effective, 1) wish it had an option like, 'allow once' or 'allow for 10min' for access request in the notification. 2) every time I reboot I need to check-mark the 'I trust this application' which is very annoying.

This was my first firewall. But due to battery draining issue i have to switch to another one. Recently i revisited this app and gave it another shot. Yes this time no battery drain and no doubt it is the most comprehensive and easy to use firewall. Though one suggestion. 'Usage Access' have to be manually enabled. If the user doesn't know about enabling this, background blocking feature won't work. So the app must prompt to enable 'Usage Access'. That's All. Great Work.

I loved it. It's a very great app, very useful, robust, and have a very small ram/ memory footprint. The bandwidth limiter is particularly useful when I watch Netflix. Thank you for the app and thank you for your generosity to make it free, and no ads whatsoever. Anyway, is it possible to make the app service persistent or auto restart when it's force closed in low ram situation? I noticed when I lost the icon due to low ram, I can start it again without vpn confirmation dialog. So maybe it's doable.

Brilliant!! The option to disallow apps from accessing the net in the background has easily quadroupled battery life and of course raised the bar on my sense of security. I can't believe how quiet my Acer Z630 is now. Bravo! All firewalls should have this capability. This is the only one I've found that has it...and it's free. Amazing. Thank you!!

What's sad here is that I wanted to like this up. But when this firewall is active it blocks my sms app Textra from sending and receiving MMS messages... after extensive tech support with Textra it was determined that it is in fact THIS app that's faulty. Zero response from developers. Someone that doesn't care to reply about their app but wants a ton of permissions... well....use at your own risk... uninstalling

No more ads! Use alternate-dns to block them without root. Also simple to use interface and no ads!!!!! The data counters are incorrect on marshmallow, some people think it uses too much data but that's not true.

This app is a must have for people with restricted data plans (almost everyone). It is such a shame that this is not built into the android OS but this app does it PERFECTLY! Thank you so much.

All is well in your app, your app actually works. Only one thing that will make the app perfect is , lets say i goto pending apps column, just below the apps , there should be 3 buttons availablel for us to click like remove, allow for ever , allow for 10 minutes and allow for 30 minutes. we goto pending apps column , we find the app in the list and a single click , done rather than clicking once , clicking again to see allow for 1 hour, clicking allow for 1 hour , clicking ok , ohmy god , how many clicks man. correct this please

Very recommended app,ez to use good UI with so many helpful options and tools. And there is no adds,thanks for the dev for making such a great free apps
