LocSMS - Text GPS Coordinates! for Android
Great for pick ups in xc flying.
.. brilliant idea! ♥ツ
I was looking for coordinates, not a link to Google maps. I want the basic. Keep it simple
Tried to use this on my Samsung Galaxy tab. One key limitation, since I don't have a wireless carrier texting plan on this device, wanted to use Google Hangouts, that was not an option.
Simple and accurate. Nice job. Samsung S5
No longer works. It keeps trying to change my default messaging app and when you don't change it, you can't send your coordinates
Never waste time again having to explain to someone how to get to where you are. Just send them the coordinates generated by this app. Thanks dev
SO SIMPLE to use. Works great for those who are not so great with tech. Please keep it simple. I LOVE IT! FYI, enter an email address instead of phone number to get it on your computer/email.
I can send my location with very minimal interaction.
and it does not require internet connection. Served its purpose and made me happy. ^_^

Works ok. Seems to be coming up with the right coordinates. Will not send the sms since I changed the default messaging app to hangouts. I try to send,it asks about changing the default app. I say no. It goes back to the map. Not good. Just send the sms using current default app. Great idea tho. It's what I was looking for except for the one hitch.
Downloaded app & tried it 6 or 7 timea! I would open the app & wait for it to find my coordinates, then i would tap share location via SMS (hit the green button) it would then take me to my messages & ask me to enter a recipient. So I would then I would try and send, but the message would not send due to the fact there wasnt any message details! There wasnt any coordinate information transferred to the message to send ! So simply put app doesnt work!! Will revise review if issue is fixed!!!
NEXUS 5 go to send SMS crashes.
Firstly, I would like to thank the Developer for spending the time to develop this great app. There are quite a few "emergency" type apps that also attempt to accurately send one's location. My study of them all suggests none of them were accurate. I tended to think such accuracy was technically impossible to achieve. But this app shows this is not the case. This app could be useful not only in the case of meeting up with someone, but in the event of a car breakdown, - letting family at home know you had safely arrived somewhere, - to enable help to reach you in case of an emergency. So, install this app for just such an emergency, and to keep the family or friends in touch with your location (at the time of sending the location).

A simple tool to grab and share your current GPS location without unnecessary bells and whistles (and without Google's street address obsession). Accuracy leaves a little to be desired, but if it used assisted GPS rather than straight GPS it would deserve five stars.
Wonderful simple utility. Many thanks. Just gives you your position on the map and then you can send it by text to whoever you want to share it with. Perfect tool for me (motorbike riding across Scandinavia!)
Thanks a lot. Just an idea. If your apps can send SMS to a preprogrammed cellular number when ever this preprogrammed phone send coded SMS, we can use your program to track car thieves as smartphone with GPS are becoming cheaper by day. We can just leave a smartphone with your program in the car so that if stolen, we just send SMS to this phone ang bingo, we know where the car is. Thanks again.
This is exactly what I needed ever since Google made it ridiculously hard to send your location.
Well done, light little app. No problems :)
via Droid Razr Maxx. Same problem as the other guy. Nice, fast, accurate map, though, even if it isn't exactly accurate.
Would like an option to put the time in the message... To avoid confusion when message arrives late

Terbaikkkk...
It works great, but it disables Google earth, maps, latitude. The only way to re activate the google services are to clear the cache of LocSMS or un installing it,which I am doing now.fix this,I'll rate you 5.
Could not get the location data to transfer to the text message. Motorola RAZR M

My family has used this app for several years. It is the fastest way to send your location. You need a phone with a good working GPS to find your location and cell service to send it. Numerous times I've been somewhere waiting for someone who couldn't find us. I open this app, give it a few seconds to find my location, then send it through my text messaging app and they're able to navigate right to where I am. If your GPS is slow, just give it a minute. As soon as you see the red marker and the share button turns green, you're ready to go. Thanks for a great app!
