HD Contacts is a way to keep HD images paired up with your contacts on your phone without having to manually add them after flashing a new ROM or restoring your phone back to factory settings. Simple set up the contacts one time and back up the settings for when you need to restore them.
This app is a great workaround to fix that issue with ICS phones with blurry pictures due to low-res images restored by Gmail.

Developed using Galaxy Nexus (VZW - Toro). Any other device is not tested. Recommended for Nexus devices. *********
Known issue:
-Galaxy Nexus Stock and other ICS devices have an issue with hiding images with the preference option. [This is a known issue with ICS(4.x) and its MediaScanner]

Permissions:
READ_CONTACT/WRITE_CONTACTS: Required to make changes to your contacts for you.

It takes a HD photo and then degrade it's quality, making the pics look like taken from a VGA camera. Its name shouldn't be "HD Contacts"

Awesome when u get new Rom just get app n restore, backup before u install new Rom. Very easy to use n donate peeps this saves u from ugly pics on contacts after reset or root.

Been finding this kinda app for long time, finally can utilize all my saved contact HD photos. Keep up the good work! -1star for blurred image -1star for no feed back after i reported the problem above.

the dimensions size is 256x256 pixelated at all on 6inches phone or tab maybe u need to make x2 of 256 or larger to make picture on clear.

This app used to work perfectly but now it doesn't. I hit the plus button then a contact and it just refreshes the contacts page or says "no photo for this contact" HELP!

The link between contacts on the app and actual phone contacts seem to disappear between rom updates. Restoring database doesn't help, I have to manually set the pictures again. Defeats the purpose but I'm not sure if it's just me... there should be some way to re-link if they get broken.

After having tried 15 apps to try and get high def photos into contacts I have chosen this one. I have an HTC One S. A couple of the other programs will let me get HD photos into their own contact manager but even then they take 3 clicks to bring the photo up. This one works with the default contact manager which is what I wanted and I get my picture from Dropbox which is also what I wnated. .

Good app I just wish that the photo resolution would be a little higher (720x720). Maybe have the option to search the name of the photo and compare to contacts in address book and offer a way to mass set photos that way. Similar to the way the app HD Contacts Photos does.
