Imagine this: you press "Volume down" until you mute the ringer notification sound. Great, now that the phone is muted, it won't disturb anyone else. Then you open a game… and the phone starts playing the sound/music of the game! Wait‽ Isn't it muted? It turns out that media volume must be muted separately from the ringer volume. This small and simple application fixes this issue, by muting the media volume whenever the ringer volume is muted. Simple, and extremely useful!

Does what I was looking for. Lowers all volumes using the volume buttons. And doesn't need permissions. Some more settings control would be nice - like being able to set percentages for the other volumes when raising the ringer volume.

What I was looking for was a volume sync'er, not a volume Muter. This app mutes all volumes only when the side button turns ringer volume to zero. So I wound say the app title is a bit misleading.

Simple and effective. A must-have.

Does not sync with the alarm volume, five stars if it synchronized with all the volume levels.

Fails to sync any volume.

This does not sync the media and ringer volumes step for step. All this does is mute the media volume when the ringer is set to vibrate/mute. If the ringer volume increases, then the media volume is unmuted and put back at its original level. I think this is what most people are looking for with a "volume sync" anyways, so it serves most purposes. If you truly want your media and ringer volumes to be step for step in sync, this will not work for you. It also has no effect on the alarm volume.

Excellent! Volume Sync integrates into your existing Android "Silence All" widget so you don't need to run it as a separate app. Easy. No more embarrassing YouTube audio disrupting those boring meetings! If you "Silence All" and want to listen to media, open your sound or vid and press the volume up button on your phone. Don't know why this terrific app doesn't show up sooner in Market search results. Perhaps another name...I'd go with "Mute It," "Shut Up!" or "STFU." ;)

Stupid android doesn't mute media when in silent, but it does now. The popular is nice and un-intrusive.

Works perfectly, mutes the media sound when the main volume is set to mute.

I was wrong about the jelly bean mute problem, it was caused by cerberus.
